Vinh Hung Riverside Resort & Spa

We booked a total of 11 rooms at the Vinh Hung Riverside for guests attending our wedding at the Red Bridge. The hotel went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. A range of rooms were booked, all were just perfect. The pool view rooms are in a block of 2 levels of rooms and face the large swimming pool and were large and spacious. The deluxe river view rooms are a little larger and have the pool on one side and the river on the other. These are single level rooms and offer a semi private patio with sun lounges. We also booked the 3 river suites thinking we would take over the whole block of rooms at the far end of the resort. However, it was only after we had checked in that we discovered there were actually 5 rooms in this block. 3 suites and 2 deluxe river view rooms. I would have booked these 2 rooms as well had I known they were there. Lesson for the future if we have a large group again. This block has it's own swimming pool. There are 3 swimming pools in the resort in total. We have stayed at both the Vinh Hung Riverside and the Vinh Hung Emerald resorts and love both of them. The Riverside has more rooms and bigger grounds than the Emerald. We had 8 rooms booked at the Emerald and the guests who stayed there loved it too.

This resort hotel is a lovely oasis in which to spend a few days to recover from touring. Reception is very flash and the staff as with every where we went in Vietnam were wonderful. There is a well appointed pool with a swim up bar, which offers a happy hour every afternoon. The main bar with its outside shaded seating is a nice place to while away an hour or two. Each afternoon there is a little village market type arrangement set up near the bar offering free tastings of local foods. The restaurant was very nice, however we only ate breakfast there. The rooms are of a good size but a little tired, with a little TLC they could be bought up to a higher standard, I found the bed a little too hard and the over bath shower was a bit dodgy, but it worked. We found it vital to ensure the blind was shut while showering or on the loo otherwise you shared everything with the locals. That aside the hotel is well located within easy walking distance to the centre of town which contains heaps of food stalls, restaurants, shops and market stalls. I would stay here again.

We had a room on the river, it was ultra relaxing. The grounds are very pretty and staff are lovely and caring. Nice pool with swim up bar, the spa is more expensive than out on the street but the facial was sublime. Laundry right across road less than 100vnd the charming tailors across road were the cheapest and had the best workmanship of the 4 dressmakers we used in hoi an. The resort cooking class while enjoyable we felt we didnt get as much out of it as we could have. The coffee class the free afternoon snacks and the boat drop and pick up to town are all appreciated.

Very relaxing and peaceful resort on the river in Hoi An. Lovely pool with swim up bar, also nice area to sit by the river having a drink. They have a free sunset cruise also boat to go into town, although the centre of town is only about a 20 minute walk. There are lots of good restaurants nearby. Prices very reasonable, the food was just ok but service excellent

On arrival I was taken in by the lovely open reception area , lush gardens , pools and riverside view . We were taken to a room that was damp and smelled of mould and asked to change which was done obligingly. This room was damp too and rather dingy with no view . The bathroom shower was a hand held device and the loo wouldn’t flush properly . I looked forward to our breakfasts but here it was uninteresting and the fruit was not fresh . On the plus side they do a ‘farmers market’ spread of Vietnamese dishes between 16h - 17h each afternoon by the river that was delicious. The hotel is in a great location close to the old town of Hoi An which is buzzing with life and colour and people . If you are susceptible to mosquito bites be careful , I left covered in bites being so close to the river .

We have been fortunate to stay at this resort on several occasions & have always been totally satisfied with all aspects of the services provided by management & staff. They have the ability to make you feel totally at home & special. The staff, from the Managers Mr Hahn, Mrs Gian & Mr Tam, to the restaurant & reception staff, all go out of their way to know who you are & treat you as a friend, rather than a client. Recognition also of the house keeping & gardening staff should be included along with Mr Chau, the music man, & the delightful man who drives the shuttle boat to the old town.!! Over & above the great facilities, the management & staff are the secret of their success. Can only give the highest recommendation to Vinh Hung Riverside.

we stay here 1 night with my family. The gardent is so beauty and next to the Thu Bon river. the staft allway smile. I am very impressed with the scenery here. Especially near the old town, it cost 5 minuter for go to the old town. We thank for suport of Mr DONG - IT.

This is a very well-located and delightful hotel on the river bank as its name suggests. The ordinary rooms are spacious, but dark, as is often the case in older Asian hotels. I can't imagine why they put the bathroom at the front, rather than a window onto the verandah. Riverside rooms cost more and have wide sliding windows but unless you book well in advance will not be available at peak times. The grounds are not extensive but big enough for a morning walk and there are two pools, one with a swim-up bar. The location is excellent, just a short stroll from the night market and old town, or you can take a shuttle-boat to the old town.

My friends & I stayed here & found the accomodation to be fantastic, close to night markets & some great bars. We also did the cooking class & it was excellent👍👍👍I'm so impressed to the guide Qinnie & the chef's who did our class. Not only did I enjoy the experience but we got to feast on our food as well. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam & I thank the resort & staff for making it so special Yours sincerely Jodi Ginn
