Stayed there for 2 days it has basic hotel. Hotel is near by Ben Thanh market and in the heart of city D1 is central part and preferred by all foreigners. You may find various options near by in same range of this hotel.
I was a little skeptical on this hotel as I have not heard anything about it. But since the rates meet my budget, I decided to go for it. And I was not disappointed. The hotel is located in a small road just off the main road and is near many eateries, famous restaurants, pubs and night spots. It is also within walking distance (15 minutes) to the famous Ben Thanh Market. Also, walking to the landmark Post Office is an easy 10-15 minutes' walk. There are a few good massage places as well. The room is quite sizeable and the room that I got came with separate shower room and WC, with a huge sink in between. The rooms are clean too, but the included breakfast is just very basic. All in all, it's definitely worth the price that I paid, which is less than USD50.
Nice hotel good for both business and holiday. Center of HCMC, lot of restaurants including Indian restaurants, bars and pubs around. Free WIFI in all area and free breakfast , most rooms are with Jacuzzi.
Excellent hotel in the center of the city. Best location close to everything and specially to the big market. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The swimming pool on the roof is very nice.
Hotel is in District 1, where most tourist place are. Room is considered clean. FREE WIFI in hotel. Breakfast spread is not fantastic, but quality wise, is still alright. Anyway, good food can be found near the hotel. Lots of restaurants/eateries in district 1. Room have bathtub with Jacuzzi function. Cheap and good hotel rates. TV channels a lot, but 90% all in Vietnamese. Overall nice hotel, value for money.
Booked last minute. Pictures looked good but the rooms are much smaller than expected. The bathroom area seemed like an afterthought. Upon arrival, the room had a horrible smoke smell. Noticed left over butts were left in the bathroom bin. Advised reception on my way out and they emptied the bins and opened the window promptly. Door and walls are paper thin and I could hear everything in the hallway - sometimes in the room across the hallway. Local street noise audible too but overall this didn't phase me - might phase others. Reception staff are adequate and straight to the point - which is also fine with me. Location is right in Japan-town which I was not aware of till I started venturing outside. If you're after Japan-centric entertainment in Vietnam, then this is the spot. However, I wasn't so it was a bit of a shock. Still, fun can always be had. I probably won't stay here again unless I didn't have any other choice.
Stayed There One night. Rude Front Desk Manager ,Tuan Anh. No English news Or Cable TV For Westerners. Did Not See Many Westerners Staying There. Tuan Anh Charged Me $55.00 For Night. i Paid Cash , He just Put It In Drawer. When I Asked Him for Receipt He Was Very Unhappy To Do so. The hotel is worth only $20.00 Per Night. Breakfast Buffet Terrible With Just A Few Items In it. & few Food Left In Bad Quality. Rooms & Shower Are Old So As Furniture. hand Held Shower Was broken The Hotel is Located In Japanese Area Of Ho Chi Minh City With 99% Japanese Restaurants & massage Parlors Around it.Restaurants
I came to HCMC for business, I enjoy staying at this hotel.. Hotel room clean and tidy. The only bad thing is the bath room is exposed from the room, you can see other taking a bath if you go with your friend. Hotel has good location we could visit many places by walk for latest in 30 minutes.. even the biggest market "ben thanh market" is only 15 minutes away ..
面包是温热的，黄油也预先撕了一个小口便于打开，鱼肉饭 I stayed at three different 3-star hotels near Pham Gnu Lao street during 12-17 September 2015. The Sunflower Hotel proves the worst experience for me. 1. The male reception desk staff (working on 15 September) is inhospitable. No smiles at all, and when I asked to borrow an umbrella, " outside" , answered him, in a shockingly cold way. 2. When I was in my assigned room, I was trying to call reception desk for guides on using air conditioning, the phone at first didn't work. I went down and explained the situation, and he said "I turned it on now in computer system." Ok, now about the telephone. He again, was indifferent . " Do I have to come down every time if I want to call reception?" I ask. Then he asked the doorman to help me. Worst attitude of any hotel workers I come across in Saigon. 3. God, it's never value for money with that kind of food option for breakfast.
We had a standard room, which has no window to the outside. Unfortunately it was still loud in the mornings, because of noise in the Hotel from 6 o'clock in the morning. Our room was nice and clean, the bed was huge. It smelled a bit funny in the beginning, especially the bedding. This got better after a few hours of letting some air into the room. The bathroom was great, with a functional clean Whirlpool. The AC didn't function proper anymore, it was not possible to change the fan, so the air always blew onto the bed. It's a nice Hotel, with friendly staff and a central position to a lot of famous places in HCMC, but a bit to high priced for the value.
