First stop of our Vietnam and Cambodia holiday. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The place and rooms were spotless. It is a 3 star hotel so the rooms were to be expected, comfortable and functional.

Had a comfortable stay at Silverland Sil. My room was upgraded on check in and was large with a city view and good bathroom. The reception staff at check in were polite and helpful. The location was perfect.

This was perfect for us. We stayed twice and will go back again. Great location and the staff were wonderful (and photogenic!). We had our 9 yr old with us and he still talks about Silverland Sil. Smallish room but comfortable and perfect base while we explore city for reasonable rate with breakfast and wifi included. Highly recommended.

The staff were very friendly, everything was very clean and I liked that breakfast started early. While it is walking distance from most of the attractions, it is not what I would call a short walk. The main drawback of this Silverland is that it doesn't have any real places to use apart from the rooms. There is no pool, bar (I think they sell alcohol in the breakfast restaurant but I never saw anyone in there) and the gym is very small. All of this is obviously on the website and why the price is relatively low! Great place to stay if you want to be out of the hotel all day and just use it for sleeping and breakfast.

We stayed at the Silverland Sakyo at the start of our honeymoon trip to Vietnam. It is a lovely hotel, well-situated in the Japanese district of HCMC. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and rooms are stylish and immaculately clean. The breakfast was incredible - great choice of Asian/Western cuisine and the daily afternoon tea was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of a busy city - and often was accompanied by live music! We enjoyed using the rooftop plunge pool and spa facilities and took advantage of one of the great offers for a massage which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helped us with booking a trip. They were also very kind in arranging some special honeymoon treats to make our stay extra special. We would highly recommend staying here when you are in Saigon!

Silverland Sil is a chain of hotels in Saigon. This one is close to the two biggest shopping malls in Saigon, and also near the Japan enclave. Front desk staff are friendly and nice. Breakfast is good. Some rooms in this hotel have no windows -- that turns a lot of people off and they see this as a budget hotel. Pricing wise, it is not budget because you pay for location in District One. The hotel is operating on a fine thread -- once it raises prices in future, it may not be worthwhile for guests to stay in rooms that have no windows and yet pay a lot for that.

PROS: Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and appears well-maintained. Nice breakfast buffet, good selection of choices, as well as fresh fruit. Practical amenities such as kettle with tea and instant coffee, free bottled water, shampoo, hair dryer, in-room safe, small fridge/mini-bar. Convenient location near many attractions and dining options, including lots of Japanese restaurants. Overall a comfortable stay, and good value for money. We did not use the spa so can’t comment on that. Would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking for a base to explore HCMC, and not spending loads of time in the room. CONS: Couldn’t adjust the air conditioning, so the room got a bit stuffy. Our room was tiny, and a little awkward to navigate with two people (and we are used to small hotel rooms).

The staff here were absolutely wonderful, every time we entered or left the hotel it was with a great big smile. They offered to order taxis and assisted with information about the local area. I had friends staying elsewhere visit me at this hotel and they were always given a refreshing iced tea drink to have whilst they waited for me in the lobby. The rooms are small but very well appointed with lovely bathrooms and furniture and modern air conditioners and TVs. The location is fantastic, within short walking distance of wonderful restaurants such as Chi Hoa and Hoa Tuc as well as a multitude of Japanese places. Also within reasonable walk of attractions such as the Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral and the Sky Deck at the Bitexco Tower. I didn't use the spa, but prices looked okay for an in-hotel spa - example you could get a 3.5 hour package for around $80 AUD. Rooms are small but comfortable, a bit of noise at night but that is the case with almost anywhere in HCMC, beds are a bit hard and whilst I don't mind that, some people used to a soft or plush mattress may find them uncomfortable. All in all, a great stay and I would certainly use the Silverland chain when staying in HCMC again in the future.

This time , am trying Silverland Sil Hotel & Spa at 20-24 Thai Van Lung St. Dist.1 HCMC VN. It's a deluxe room, but they said I've upgraded to premium deluxe, no different. It's like with a window or without window is cheaper. Room size is about 22 sq.m. Here's with bathtub. Hotel is clean and much better than those closer to Ben Thanh. Ben Thanh mkt is a little longer walk from here, another 5 mins more. But , I reckoned it's quieter than those closer Ben Thanh. Nearby , plenty of small Japanese restaurants around , Restaurants and like Pubs and convenience stores. Most of the hotels around are almost the same size and it's about traffic around the area. 3 stars hotel , not too bad for the money. Breakfast are pretty decent n good , better than A&Em hotels , Espoirs and Liberty. Reception are friendly but needs to be better and the concierge boys are ok. But, a little inconvenient that they switches room for me halfway due failure of aircon and some noises. Till Then , Critique JVS

Ok location, excellent breakfast and Spa. But been informed that the room don't have windows is for me, not good. Was given an upgrade.... All in all an ok hotel, nice rooftop swimming pool, a bit small, when I was there they did some cleaning, and very noisy.
