Stay for 2days. Family with 2 kids. I booked 2 rooms with bathtub and window. To my suprise, window was facing the elevator and no bathtub for both rooms we got. They changed but one window facing those air compressor and another one dont know facing where but with bathtub. 1st night was terrible as one of the room air condition is not cold enough and with sound. Tell reception to have a service but it seems not help at all. 2nd night the same. Breakfast is ok if u are not choosy. No doubt that the location is very good but there are alot more good hotel around this area.
We had 1 nite here after long trip back from Muine. No welcome drink was invited then straight to our room. Furniture is dated. Pillows were torn. Breakfast just normal choices even no named on the foods. Reception staff were nice enough, waitress were not focus to clear the table even we called, they gathered with group and ignored us. Good location but not good quality hotel. Will come back Saigon but not this one.
The location of the hotel is excellent, balcony overlooking the city center is great. The hotel is desperate need of a make over. The rooms are outdated. I originally was booked in standard room and upon checking in I paid to upgrade to the Palace Suite room which had a spa. This suite had plenty of room. The staff at the hotel try their best to accommodate guests, just lacking in skills somewhat. The gym is a joke and the pool ( well, not that appealing). Forget the breakfast, looks and tastes like crap.
The Palace is well situated in District 1 within walking distance of many of the areas attractions, restaurants, and Tan Dinh markets. The room was adequate without being fantastic,my real grip was the shower over the bath. Now I am 5'7 and the bath comes up to 1" over my knee, so help anyone who is really short or disabled. One warning if you are staying here during the weekend there are usually entertainment etc going on in the square, and the hotel really does not have great sound insulation. I had the misfortune to be facing the front and there were road works going on at 2am. The staff on the front desk were very helpful even when there is a slight language problem, but they do their best and work things out. Buffet breakfast is a mixture of Asian and Western meals and staff are very friendly. Had my first nights meal in their restaurant and it was quite adequate.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights overall. Hotel room was lovely - can't fault that. Clean, tidy and appeared to be a 4* standard. Corridors etc a little shabby and could do with some work. We arrived late at night and had some problems with the taxi from the airport - he was trying to scam us for extra money. The concierge came to our assistance and really did help us; especially when the taxi man tried to come into the hotel to steal our bags! He was lovely throughout stay and helped us when needed. The rest of the staff did not appear the same. Their manner was often considered rude, they did very little to help. Felt a little like an inconvenience if we asked anything. Location great - nice area of Ho Chi Minh and everything in walking distance. Ok stay but wouldn't stay again.
Worse could happen is when you enjoy your stay with the hotel room and crap happen with service entertainment within the hotel. Promised without servicing. Room was clean and good location. The bathroom design was a hassle to anyone not intending to use the bathtub, by the end of the bath, the floor will be completely wet. Breakfast was considered good. Hotel massage center was the worse it could be. Make appointment and was being ushered to a shared open area where ppl doing pedi/manicure. expecting us to strip with male and female in the same room. didn't honored the 10% discount as per hotel service crew introduction. *** do take note of the invoice given, they do charge in ridiculous way if you don't go thru it.*** Apparently, tips is compulsory (at least USD 5) . This is the most absurd thing i have heard.
The Hotel is in the city center, good connection to public transportation and services. The room was clean and the air conditioning working well Quite Good buffet for breakfast. Staff gentle and very kind, all speaking fluent english
Our group of Forty stayed at the palace, great hotel, great location on the walking street downtown Saigon close to everything. Great staff and full western breakfast cooked to order. Something for everyone, staff very helpful.
Do not stay here. I thought I was getting a bargain with a rate of 60 USD per night on an OTA but I was wrong. The staff don't seem to care. The room was tiny like really small. The furniture and décor was old and tired. Breakfast was average. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. At this price point there are far better options in the same central area.
the room so comfortable, the service also superb although they can't speak well in english..the location is the best! saturday night the main road opposite hotel close for public! we can walk to night market from hotel.will be back again!
