Hotel location was near to most touristy areas needs but wish they could uplift the rooms conditions to improve it. First room check in as it was late we did not go down to complaint the issues such no double lock, towel rack about to fall off, the exhaust grille was dirty plus the shower room drainage clogged up. Credit not too bad a breakfast and after that i went to see the duty manager and room change accorded but not after a few rooms check that it was slightly better. They just have to uplift the toilets conditions. Will not be back if it remains as it is. Only credit goes to breakfast girl who was sincerely nice to serve and greet.
This chain has several very similar proerties in D1 and is very convenient to the Ben Thanh markets and Saigon Square. Breakfast was included in the tariff and was not a huge choices - but each day the small menu was changed (hot serves mostly Asian style) so not repetitive and adequate. The room was good with a really good bed and soft comfy pillows. From my perspective everything was in walking distance and orientation was fine since I have visited this didtrict often. Many attractions, eateries and bars are nearby and there are several small tourist spots that can provide a huge range of activities. Otherwise Uber/Grab (motobike taxis) and regular taxis are reasonably priced option to get to see most of the usual sights like Notre Dame, War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, Post Office etc. Not a bad stay, but there are other similar smaller hotels around that are a shade better for quality and price. I stayed this time because usual place was booked out.
I liked the interior design of the place. It looks very sophisticated and feminine. The rooms are quite small and the food is okay. One of its advantages is that its near the markets and food places. I might stay here again on my next visit to HCMC.
I have been staying here for more than 4 years, seeing though the changes and renovation. How unfortunate, they are not maintaining its standards. The last time I wrote a 1 page complaint was last year and then this is the 2nd time I am writing a complaint about this place. The only reason why I am still staying here is because of the receptionist whom I respect as Sister San, working at this hotel. My room has baby cockroaches running around and the best part, it is in the fridge!!! The water is never cold in the night but only in the day. Do we pay a discount for this since hot water is only available in the morning and not in the night? Is this even a hotel? The climax is here... they LOST MY SHIRTS through Laundry. Knowing someone who travels monthly, I bring my best shirts for my trips. Imagine, 2 of my favourite shirts went missing together with other garments and the hotel only can say sorry, making the cleaner to compensate me 700,000 dong. My bag of cloths which I sent to Laundry worth more than SGD300!!! Is the hotel even taking responsibility of guests things and matters? Can we trust this hotel again? You guys decide for yourself.
I uaed to stay in the same A&EM hotel across the street in the past, but that has closed. This trip, choose this. Nothing impresses me. Rooms are dim. Non existance of sound proofing. You can hear anyone at the corridor and even late at night where people have their supper at the streets. Time to hunt for another hotel for my next trip.
It's not a 4 or 5 star place. You get what you pay for. It's located within walking distance of many places in and around district 1. We stayed a few nights. We found the rooms to be somewhat modern and comfortable. They have breakfast buffet in the morning. It's about average. The staff seem to be friendly and the rooms are cleaned well. Showers are stand up and easy to get in and out. I would stay here again.
We stayed in this hotel as it was close to hospital. My wife had a bad car accident and rather then stay in the hospital we rented a room here. The staff was accommodating and sensitive to my wife's condition. They brought us ice when we needed, did extra cleanings and made sure her stay was comfortable while I and some of her friends care for her along with a private nurse who slept over a few nights in the room.
Room - standard facilities (without iron), bed (comfort and provide you the feelings of 4 star value) Bathroom - bathtub style TV - Vietnam channel, English/Chinese with variety of sport, movies, news and many more. Breakfast - maybe limited if peak holidays as the food may not be enough to replenish since only a person handling the cooking, cleaning and preparing your half boil egg/poach/omelette
The staff are friendly, although a better understanding of English would have helped. I had some problems with the shower, but they addressed it quickly. The bellmen are superb! Always at your service with a smile.
Very close to the main Ben Thahn market in Saigon. Excellent location, however the rooms of this hotel are old. Relatively clean enough for 1-2 night considering you spend the whole day out exploring. They have good arrangements and partnerships with tour operators which helped us made unannounced. Key element to complete our vacation!
