House was available on time and clean. Pool and hot tub weren’t cleaned but we weren’t going to use them anyway. Ice maker is very slow at refilling. Overall, it fit our needs perfectly.

Dory was fantastic!

We had a group of 4 families stay at Dory and all had a wonderful time. The AvantStay team was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We'd definitely go back again!

Large, clean place with lots of amenities, rooms, Hot tub free to heat, pool extra as per listed in description. Easy check in process.

Men’s Golf Trip

Terrific house for our golf outing. 8 of us enjoyed the stay. Each player had there own room which were in excellent shape. The pool table and darts were enjoyed. The heated spa provided relief after daily golf. Palmetto Dunes courses were a close drive. We would stay again..

Christmas gathering

Plenty of room for 16 adults and 3 children. House is actually larger than it appears. Rooms are good size. Nice common area and kitchen. Nice neighborhood. Close to everything you need. We will request this house again when in the area.

Convenient Location, Beautiful House

We enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving. It was large enough for multiple families to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to prepare Thanksgiving Lunch there without any issues. The beds were very comfortable. The location was very convenient to Coligny Plaza/ Beach area. we enjoyed many bike rides to the beach. The street was quiet, and we felt safe there. Thank you!

Great House for a Work Weekend!

We loved this house! We were here for a work event on Hilton Head and the number of bedrooms and baths worked well to provide everyone the privacy they needed. We did miss mirrors in the bedrooms. I would recommend adding them, especially in the bedrooms that share a bathroom.

Less than perfect, prob won't stay again for cost. aventstay responsive.

When we arrived the pool, patio, 2 freezers, and grill were all dirty. As the week went on we discovered several living cockroaches inside the house at night. The area with the pool table is not air conditioned. Nor is the large enclosed garage area where we also noted black colored mold on the ceiling. Only one of the bathrooms had any hooks or towel holders so there was nowhere for wet beach or bath towels. One of the bedrooms had no dresser for clothing. The bunkbed rooms have only small cubbys for storage space. One of the downstairs bedrooms drags on the floor. One of the upstairs showers has a hazardous tile sticking up. There is only dinner seating for 12 upstairs and 12 downstairs. I have never stayed in a multilevel beach house that does not allow guests to use the elevator, but here it was "forbidden" Note there it is not possible to access a living area without a flight of stairs. The beach is nice, not crowded in this area and truly only a 5-6 minute walk.

Good spot for large groups - with some notable shortcomings

We enjoyed our stay overall. The house is spacious and comfortable for large groups, with the exception of the kitchen which wasn’t an ideal size for a house that can otherwise accommodate so many people. It was great to be within a short walk of the beach and Coligny Plaza, as well as a playground and children’s museum. We really enjoyed Hilton Head. However, the house and the floors in particular were not adequately cleaned when we arrived. The freezer and some of the drawers were also an issue. We hired a cleaner to come mid-week, and noticed a huge difference. It was also concerning to find that there was no hardware (and therefore no lock) on the external sliding door in one of the bedrooms. Additionally, it was inconvenient to not have the use of the pool for half the day partway through our stay, because the pool company showed up unannounced to adjust the chemical levels. This is important, but ideally should be done when the house turns over. At the very least, guests should be consulted about the timing or given a heads up so they can plan accordingly. Luckily, our local AvantStay host was very responsive. He quickly came over to address the issue with the bedroom sliding door, and pushed off what would have been a second visit from the pool company. Having stayed in other, similar houses, we just expected a little more.
