Days Inn Concordia MO2.0 out of 5.0

With tax, cost of room was over $100 per night in a town of 2500 in the middle of nowhere Missouri. Come on, this is a Day's Inn, a $50/night hotel, at best. Might have been some good old price gouging since there was a volleyball tourney in town. Breakfast was weak. Included a tub of Quaker oats if you wanted to spoon some out and add some hot water (first time I've seen that). Paid for 4 people in room. Only 3 bath towels provided, but additionals were provided without issue upon request. Bright points ---friendly staff and excellent mattresses.
pretty much standard room. very clean. service from the desk was great coming in and checking out.
Nothing really wrong. Just another motel. People there are very nice. It was clean. The highway traffic noise was the only problem that I had. Turned on the AC fan. That worked to solve the issue. There are some good restaurants nearby!!
The front desk employees are nice. The breakfast is just prepackaged items. I do not believe there is communication on maintenance issues. The toilet seat was loose. The shower bar was not mounted to the wall and therefor left openings for water to spray onto floors when showering. I did not get housekeeping one day out of five. What bothers me is not that someone didn't make the bed but coffee in the room as I get started on my day was not replenished. I guess you get what you pay for. I will try the other hotel next time I have to stay in the area.
We thought there would be more lodging choices eastbound on I-70 out of KC, but no luck. It was late when we pulled in here looking for some sleep. Bad decision. The room was hot, stuffy, and smelly when we opened the door, with the sound of water running constantly from the sink. It would not shut off and the bathtub faucets were also leaking. There was a big clump of hair in the tub and brown bits of who-knows-what. On our scramble to get out of there we noticed that the bedding was mussed up. When we refused the room and asked for a credit, the woman at the desk had to phone her boss and ask if she could give the refund. This was barely three minutes after we had given her the charge card to check in. Despite the late hour and being tired, it was well worth going 40+ more miles to the Holiday Inn Express in Boonville.
This is a motel off the highway where you stay when you literally can not drive one more mile. There is a place within walking distance where you can get food until 10pm. Those are the good things about it. The rest was pretty bad (stained sheets, dirty carpet, broken coffee maker, etc.) and will continue to haunt my dreams for a long, long time.
Had a lovely stay, the staff was amazing and I truly great time, my cat had so much fun in the room that she didn't want to leave.
This was a pleasant place to stay. Good location just off the interstate, but no interstate noise in the room.
I had requested a non-smoking room, but I was placed in a room that reeked of cigarette smoke. It was so strong it woke me up in the night. Also there were 2 dead bugs on the bathroom floor. And the final issue was that the bathroom seat was very wobbly when you sat on it. It needed to be tightened, but I didn't have any tools.
I was worn out by the time I stopped at this Days Inn. The desk was very helpful at check in, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed overhauling-toilet was in bad shape and there was not an obvious control to turn on the shower. The satellite system for the TV needed some directions. The room was clean and the breakfast was adequate.
