Villa Despoina in Malades

Tucked within the picturesque grounds of Château de Lapeyrouse, this elegant holiday chalet offers a serene escape in the heart of the Northern Alps. Overlooking the stunning Mont Colombier and the vast Rhône Valley, it’s a place where nature’s beauty meets timeless charm. From your private terrace or the shaded seating areas in the expansive communal garden, soak in sweeping views that shift with the light—perfect for morning coffee or evening wine.

The chalet combines rustic elegance with modern comfort, featuring a cozy bedroom, well-equipped open kitchen, and charming arched windows that frame the surrounding landscape like art. Guests have access to a beautifully maintained shared swimming pool (open June to mid-September), nestled among lush greenery and colorful blooms—a tranquil spot for a refreshing dip or poolside lounging.

Ideal for families, the property includes thoughtful amenities like a child’s bed and high chair. Just a short walk away, a scenic forest path invites peaceful walks or outdoor play. For delicacies, Le Bruges, a charming family-run establishment located just 160 meters from Château de Lapeyrouse and for a more upscale dining experience, you might consider Restaurant Anne & Matthieu Omont at the Hotel de France in Montmarault, 12.5km away.
Explore beyond the grounds with day trips to Lake Bourget (15 min), Lake Annecy, or spa-town Aix-les-Bains (20 min), or embrace winter sports at La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand—both under an hour away.
