This hotel is relatively easy to reach and close to the historical center of the town. It seems to be relatively new, or refurbished, with normal standard conforts. It is very clean and service is friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet is nice with a large choice. You are within a walking distance of the centre of the town. The street is silent .... so noise is not an issue. The only down side is the parking,.... Difficult to find a parking spot in the streets,... Apparently they have an agreement with a paid parking in the neighbourhood where the clients of the hotel get a special price (I didn't use this service).
This place is a perfect choice in Iraklio. People are helpful and smiling and the rooms perfectly convenient. Breakfast always included. The wi-fi is fast and reliable everywhere. If you are mad about cleanliness look no further. I have been there at least 15 times and never had to complain.
Nice and friendly staff ready to help anytime at any hour (I needed help at 3.30 in the night to get to the airport). Hotel is clean and the position is very good (2 min.to the old center and with view to the see).
Stayed here with a tour group, in September. Standard double rooms furnished in modern decor and comfortable for a short stay, bathroom a bit on the small size had an issue with shower which wasn't resolved before we checked out. Nice boutique style hotel with a nice breakfast/restaurant room. Short 10 minute walk to town centre and 5 minutes to harbour.
We have stayed at the Atrion hotel on several occasions, each time we travel to Crete on business and have always found the facilities, staff and food to be excellent. The hotel is ideally situated for the surrounding restaurants and bars.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The location was good for the bus station and also for some nice restaurants near the sea-wall. The room was very pleasant with windows which could open and a balcony. The WiFi worked fine so was able to keep up with work emails.
I stayed in this hotel twice during the last month (2-3 days each time). The staff were pleasant efficient and helpful. The room are small but every basic thing you want to have is there. Breakfast is reach and satisfactory. The location is central but the street is not, and there is a good isolation of sound and light. All in all a very enjoyable stay
This is a very modern nice looking hotel compared to many in the area. When you step outside it looks like a very derelict area of town but within a couple of blocks you reach shops & restaurants. We stayed in an executive sea view room which unfortunately reeked of cigarettes. To the point where it made me cough. Such a shame because the room was very nice, but the smell of cigarettes made it feel dirty like a hostel which is why I've given it 3 stars. Pros; very modern room, good size, large balcony with beautiful view (for our room). Modern bathroom with bath, shampoo soap & bath gel provided. 24 hour desk. Plenty of storage room. Nice buffet breakfast. Cons; our room reeked of smoke, even after having balcony doors open for 2 days it still smelt...its in the curtains & carpet. A couple of blocks to walk to things. Bed felt like it might be latex, too hard for me (but might be ok for someone who likes it firm). No parking onsite.
If you're lucky enough to get a room with a balcony that has a view of the sea, it's worthwhile. We were lucky. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The bathrooms are teeny tiny. The toilet was far too close to the wall, and the shower stall was a little small. Other than that our room was a decent size. It was really close to everything without being noisy. It was close to the airport, too. The taxi fare was under 15 euros. Not a bad place to stay for a short time in Crete.
Stopped in Heraklion for 2 nights before heading to Santorini and absolutely love this hotel. We stayed in a jr suite which was modern and very spacious. Breakfast is also far beyond just the regular free continental breakfast you get at hotels. They have everything from oatmeal, cereal, dried fruits, bread, meat and cheese to scrambled and fried eggs! Absolutely amazing for 80€ a night!
