A very nice, simple city hotel in a very good location. Just 5 min. from the city center with the cafes, restaurants, nice shops, and night life. Right next to the port. The hotel is in a quiet street, beautiful view of the castle and the big boats. Stuff was very kind and helpful in everything we asked. The room was very clean, nice and simple. Breakfast was very rich, more than we expected. Wi fi in the room was slow and only close to the entrance was ok. Good value, we would choose this hotel again.
Unacceptable service, room cleanliness unacceptable, night watch behavior, ironic and rude. Breakfast not good without variety. I'm sure I will not visit this hotel again on Crete. Access from harbor good, but do not deserve any money.
We stayed for 1 night during an island hopping trip and this hotel was perfect for what we needed. A 10 minute walk from the port with helpful staff. We had a sea view room which was great for watching the ferries come in. Rooms are spacious but a little dated. They are very clean though and we slept really well as the bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Breakfast was adequate and the price more than reasonable.
We arrived from London at 10pm without having booking and he taxi driver took us to this hotel, and have us the option of 4 others nearby. We were lucky to get the last room in the hotel, for the 3 nights we wanted. The room was basic but had air conditioning, and the free breakfast is magnificent and will satisfy the most fussy customer. They even had an automatic Greek coffee machine! The view from the restaurant is of the Venetian Fortress and is mesmerising. Unfortunately on our last night I pulled a muscle and needed to see a doctor. Reception took care of everything. They found us a private medical clinic, organised a taxi and wrote down for us how to get to the doctor, and also told the driver again where to take us. They also recommended an excellent Cretan taverna within walking distance. This was an amazing experience, and when we asked someone else for true Cretan food, he also recommended the same restaurant. The room only cost 70 euro a night, including free breakfast, but had an excellent enclosed shower with great pressure and really hot water. It was easy to walk everywhere, and a quick trip down to the fortress or port to get the ferry. We would definitely stay again.
the hotel is very central; clean room with good beds; good price; the breakfeast-room in the top floor offers excellent views to the harbour; staff is very very friendly and helpful (thay found a lost item of mine and posted it imediatly)
Room size ok. Bathroom disappointing. Shower odd size. Shower rose should be fixed and water spurts in all directions. No table top space to put toiletries. Basin loose. Water from tap smells. Very basic. Bed shockingly rock hard. Safe box can be carried away with you. Small and loose. Not bolted down. Lock wouldnt open anyway. Struggled with balcony lock. Breakfast on 6th floor. Old looking property. Dated. Internet weak and slow. 10 mins walk across the road from ferry terminal, up some steps to hotel. Would prefer Megaron where you need not walk and carry bags up stairs. We got lost and stopped at Megaron which is next door and reception guy helped us out by making 2 local calls free of charge - and we wont even guests there. We are staying at Marin Dream and reception charged us a local call. Its not the problem with the cost but just comparing little gestures. The megaron is very nice. Would have preferred to have stayed there. Rated average as their breakfast was the saving grace. Good spread with lots of local varieties on offer.
Hotel in good position for bus station.Close to town centre and shops and restaurants.Shopping is not as cheap as you would expect. There is an excellent Indian restaurant nearby, the Curry Park for English curry enthusiasts.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the port bus station and 10 minutes from the ferry port, which makes it convenient for those wanting a convenient location when passing through Heraklion. It is also a short walk to the Archeological Museum and the many restaurants in the downtown core. The hotel is unremarkable. Our room had a strong, musty smell that would not go away even when running the A/C or opening the window. Our door lock (electronic) failed so we couldn't leave until it was fixed.
A very welcoming and friendly hotel Excellent staff and friendly and efficient service. We had stayed here before and we were not disappointed this time. I really look forward to their extensive breakfast menu The view from hotel is stunning
Rooms are nice and clean, with little terrace. Breakfast was good, a lot of different foods and of a good quality. Personnel is nice and tries to speak in your native language. The panorama from the restaurant is very beautiful! The menu of the dinner is not great but it is not also so bad. It is cheap and you will not be hungry at the end.
