Beautiful place to stay. Easy checking and plenty of things for us to see and do.

A cucarach in the batrrom and no cortessi the atendants plus poor service in the restaurant.

Very rude at the front desk. No elevator in the building where we stayed. Advertised a shuttle but not running.

We loved everything! Super clean and comfortable beds .. perfect location . Staff friendly and the shuttle was a wonderful service Into Helen

They changed my reservation to he day before arrival telling me they don't have king size beds. I called to cancel and found out they really do but wanted to give my room to simeone else. They kept making excuses and changed the story. We got tired of the lies and just cancelled the whole stay. Did not used to be like that there.

Just a little outdated, but other than that, it's located in a beautiful park and close to downtown Helen.

Nice location close to Helen but within a natural area close to Ana Ruby falls, an accessible lake, trails, and other activities. The rooms are worn and dated, needing renovation, building A is being renovated as we speak, but otherwise the property is great. Don't bother getting a loft room in peak summer or peak winter; the wall mounted air conditioner cannot circulate air up there...it was painfully hot and useless despite being cold on the main level. We switched rooms.

The room was very clean and organized. The place itself was very quiet and peaceful.

The check-in and check out staff were friendly and very helpful. Our servers during breakfast the first day wasn't very helpful or attentive. However, our server the day we checked out, was wonderful. She anticipated our needs and service was awesome. Breakfast was wonderful too. Our zip line guides were friendly and funny, it made the zip lining experience of our kids and ours very memorable and fun. The only major complaint we have is that our room was not cleaned - housekeeping did not come to our room and that the beds were sagging which was very uncomfortable after a long day of activities.

The lodge seems to be set up for large groups or conventions. For a family of four, it’s easy to feel ignored. Staff walk by with hardly a smile or hello. I called the front desk two times requesting the maid to come vacuum the toenails off the carpet in our room. The first associate showed me some compassion for my disgust, but the second associate made excuses that vacuuming is not an every day chore for the housecleaning staff. Really? I’m not asking for an explanation of how you divvy up the work around here. I’m requesting for a second time that you remove someone ELSE’S body parts from my bedroom. There was also a wad of black hair behind our toilet that I didn’t want to complain about since the toenails seemed more urgent to me (my family are all shades of blonde). Lastly, upon leaving, there was a mysterious $135 charge on our bill that no one at the front desk could identify, so they got a superior to remove it. Good thing we looked at every line!

This hotel is undergoing renovations and it did not age gracefully. I would suggest to look for elsewhere.

I had a one night stay at Unicoi State Park & Lodge. Very spacious, but I could tell that the facilities are a little older. I love the peacefulness of this location. Would recommend staying for relaxation.

It's a relaxing hotel, very convenient if you want to visit the falls in Unicoi Park, very close to Helen. The hotel is Ok, restaurant with good buffet and the atmosphere is very quite and relaxing

The room was clammy and damp. It was not worth what I paid for it.

We went to the mountains for a short overnight trip just to explore the area. There are lots of things to do around the park area. We especially enjoyed the short hike up to Anna Ruby Falls and going to Brasstown Bald. Hofer's Restaurant in Helen is a good place to eat. Their bakery is excellent.

Thank you for visiting our park and lodge. Thank you for your valued feedback. It sounds like there was a bug in your bathroom. Unfortunately it is very difficult to prevent an occasional bug from getting into the hotel with the outside doors constantly being opened and closed. Please rest assured that we have stringent sanitation and pest control and prevention of the highest standards in place. But I deeply apologize for the inconvenience. I will also make sure our general manager is aware of the service issues that you experienced in the restaurant. Your comments help us to improve our service experience, and we thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback!

Thanks so much for visiting our park and lodge. I am so sorry to hear about these problems that you experienced particularly with the service at the front desk which is unacceptable and certainly does not meet our standards. If you happen to remember the names of the staff members that did not provide you with great service, we would really value it if you would be willing to call and speak to our general manager to let him know about this, as he may not be aware of it. We certainly want to get that corrected. We value your feedback and thank you for bringing these items to our attention.

I'm so sorry for the problems that you experienced with your reservation. We are currently undergoing renovations and may have had a last minute shortage with a particular room type. I'm sorry that we did not do a better job of resolving this for you and that you had to cancel your reservation.

Thanks so much for visiting our park and lodge. We recognized the need for updates to our lodge rooms, and we are actually in the process of a complete renovation of all rooms with the first building to be completed next week. All of our lodge rooms will be completely renovated by June of 2020. We hope you will come back and see the improvements we are making!
