It's right on the Chattahoochie river, and a very short walk to downtown.
On the river but no river view from inside room. Everything is within walking distance. Staff is very nice
Difficult check in. Room smelled like pee. Laughing and yelling people without any staff control until after 2 am. Phone calls not helpful. Uncontrollable shower temperature. Dirty facilities in general. This type of place should Ben $30/night at most. The experience could have only been worse in theory but I can’t think how it could get much worse practically.
I liked it was on the river and in town. The hot water in the shower took awhile to warm up. It was pet friendly, ya
Location was great. Cabin was very clean, spacious and view of river was great. People were nice. Served us well and would come back however property and buildings are rundown and show their age. Many things broken and in need of repair
Good location. Only two blocks from mainstreet in a town where parking is tight and expensive. No traffic noise. Could use some updating. The security latch on my door was broken.
The floors, walls, and bathrooms look recently remodeled. However, the sleeper sofa is falling apart. Luckily, we brought air mattresses for our kids. The cabin is roomy enough that we had plenty of space to blow them up. The space in the cabins in general is not used well. There’s a large hot tub off to side of the living room, no walls or privacy. Maybe good for a honeymooning couple. Lots of stairs, so just beware if you have any physical disabilities. There is only one bed, in the loft area. The description says it sleeps 4, but the sleeper sofa is a loveseat size, so we were happy we’d brought air mattresses. The view and location are great. Easy walk to Main Street Helen and right on the creek, so you can dip your toes in anytime and sit on the back deck and watch the tubers go down the creek.
Close to river and has a walk out. Currently ungoing renovations so theres some strange smells . Parking is tight.
old hotel, needs to be updated, room service did not come and clean inbetween nights, ROOM HAD BED BUGS!!!!!!!!
Our room had a stopped up toliet. My husband plunged the toliet to get it working. Then he had to go to the front desk for bath towels since there were not any in the room. After the initial incidents, we slept well in a comfortable king size bed. It was not terrible, but it definitely made a memory.
The room was overpriced..The heat took forever to work and the bathroom was not cleaned...I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
be careful with your credit card info at this hotel. Better use cash to check out. As we found out random charges on our card after checking out. Repeated calls to hotel didn't yield any info or source of the charges. We were ok with the terrible breakfast or having no wifi or even housekeeping in cabins. Just because we liked the location & lay out of cabins. But integrity of hotel staff is something, a traveler doesn't have to worry about. Fraud charges are never acceptable. So either use cash or don't stay here.
Motel old ,no swimming pool free breakfast was terrible.
This Hotel needs Renovation and a clean up! ! We stay two nights but we don't take a shower There it was to nasty! !
