This is literally on of the best hotels we stay in all year for travel sports. The lobby is spacious with plenty of room to 'hang' with the team, good breakfast and spacious/clean rooms. However, the single best part of this hotel is the staff. Extremely friendly and accommodating. I truly wish there were more hotels like it.
This is by far, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Huge, beautiful hotel lobby with luxury Northwoods decor, excellent breakfast. Margaret Hoffman and her staff do a wonderful job. Only slight downside is that breakfast is later, doesn't start until 7am but it is worth the wait. We really loved our stay.
Wonderful hotel! There are several places to sit and relax inside and outside. The back patio has a fire table, many chairs, tables, benches all with a nice view of the lake. Everything was very clean and the hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of things to choose from. Great location, close to everything. We will definitely be back!
We stayed here on our self-drive tour and were very impressed. It has an interesting and attractive internal design. Overlooks a lake in a nice location. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Aircon unit was also quiet. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was nothing special but included in the price so not complaining. Definitely recommended.
What a gorgeous place. Love the location, nice and private and on the lake. Spending time in the swimming pool/hot tub is so relaxing with the huge windows on 3 sides and all you can see is nature. There is a playground area for children, lawn chairs spread out for guests to enjoy, a patio area outside of the pool with lounge chairs and a dock with pontoon paddle boats for rent. What a beautiful spot. Guests even had fishing rods and were fishing from shore. So cool. Everybody was very friendly and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. The breakfast was delicious and the beds comfy. It was our first time staying in a hotel room with the sink part of the room. Which was good and bad. Kinda hard to blow dry your hair without waking everyone up. But all in all, we fell in love with the place and definitely want to go back.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Booked a block of rooms for our wedding months in advance only to find out 1 week beforehand that half of them were not available any longer. Now we have guests from out of town and state with no where to stay during the busiest weekend in town. AT NO point in time did anyone tell us when making this reservation that if they weren't paid for one month before the date that they would automatically be released. This is our first wedding. We NEVER book blocks of rooms. The customer service ball not only dropped, it rolled into a cavern deep into the earth. To make matters worse, their complacent, don't give crap attitude is the biggest slap in the face. Customer service 101 for the entire team. WE COULD NOT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED!
What a great hotel, it was very clean, and Tim at the front desk was super friendly and so professional! I travel a lot and 75% of hotel clerks are cranky and really should be stuck in a kitchen washing dishes and not dealing with the public. Tim was great, General Manager material! 5 stars!!
No more old cabins on the lake and dining at a few local taverns, Hayward has grown and so have the choices for lodging! The Comfort Suites in Hayward offers the expected northern Wisconsin log exterior design and a great lakeside location but has excellent modern features. Rooms are spacious with patios or balconies (ask for lakeside). New beds, large screen TV's and desktop and tabletop USB ports and outlets are appreciated. The continental breakfast is standard Comfort Suites fare with eggs, meat and potatoes and everything else you'd expect. The hotel has a pier and outdoor seating by the lake just steps away from the lobby. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The room and rest of the hotel was spotless.
One of the best hotel stays we have had. We arrived early and stopped by to see about the possibility of early check in. The manager was working the desk and gladly got us in! After traveling with kids and wanting to go see the sights without having our SUV packed full of stuff, we were off to a good start. The room was very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed having a walk out patio and the breakfast was nice with a variety of choices. Beautiful property and things to do within walking distance too. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
This hotel was great in every respect ... staff was nice, rooms were clean, the lobby is absolutely beautiful, and the view of the lake was so pretty! There are plenty of places to sit outside and take in the nature surrounding this place. It was conveniently located to many of the Hayward attractions. I would stay again in a heartbeat!!
