We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, and inviting. It was well stocked. Kids games, camp chairs and a speaker for outside, linens, cooking utensils, and more. The bathroom had frosted glass, but no curtain. And my wife found it uncomfortably transparent. The mattress was comfortable. And they even have a pack and play for babies. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We were in and out. Wish we could have stayed longer. It seemed like a real nice place to hang out. The river is beautiful. I did appreciate cookware available to make breakfast.

Adorable place exactly as described and shown in pictures. Beautiful view outside the back sliding doors. Hosts have great communication and the unit was very clean with amenities that many VRBO hosts don’t provide. Will definitely book this unit again.

The space was incredibly clean and exactly as pictured in the photos! We were able to easily check in, enjoy a fire during the evening, and slept incredibly well on the cozy bed. :) Our hosts could not have been lovelier or easier to reach via messaging - thank you!!!

My wife and I and our yellow lab Zoe, loved our stay at your beautiful river cottage! The river is so calm and peaceful and best of all, it can be enjoyed from the back patio, or up close and personal if you are adventurous. Little thoughtful touches have been added to all rooms allowing every guest to relax and enjoy! We stayed for four nights but wished we could have stayed longer! We look forward to visiting again .Thank you for a memorable stay!

Very charming and cozy cottage!! Would definitely stay again. Hastings is a quaint little town and the cottage was located right outside of town and is such a relaxing, quaint, and charming property. The little cottage is conveniently located near stopping for any needed supplies. Joseph does a great job of supplying all the little extra s and is a very responsive host. Great relaxing stay overall and we cannot wait until our next Hastings Michigan trip!!

Amazing Place!!!

This was one of the best vacations we have had in a very long time--completely restful and exactly what we needed. The rental and the location were the reason is was such a great vacation. Here are the things that stood out to us: -BEAUTIFUL view out the huge picture window and glass door overlooking the flowing river-very clean house / several updated spaces-the wifi was able to keep up with our regular surfing and streaming on two separate devices-the A/C units kept us nicely cool when the ‘feels-like temperature’ was in the high-90s outside-very roomy place-very well-equipped kitchen-about a 5-minute drive to Walmart and Aldi and Family Fair Grocery Store, nice restaurants, an ice cream shop and three parks along the river-no places for pets to get stuck or hurt-while we only have 2 cats, this was one of the few places that allows 3 pets. -there is a vacuum, broom and a mop if you like to keep the floors tidy during your stay-comfortable seating-the double bed was nice. Firm mattress with 2-3” memory foam. -well maintained lawn-kayaking was fun in the ankle-to-waist deep river (though the owner provided safety gear)-GREAT view of the river right from the kitchen table.We DEFINITELY hope to be back!

Rented for my in-laws. They have difficulty with mobility and this house was set up nicely to accommodate them. They loved the location, the nearby river. They commented multiple times about the friendliness of the property managers.

Scenic view of river. Nice duplex, with everything you would need for a great stay. Host does an excellent job of providing things like coffee to popcorn, toothbrushes, bandages and many other things. Very thoughtful.

Hastings Trip

Beautiful piece of property on the river! Lots of amenities included in property. Not as quiet and secluded when the hosts’ extended family came to use the river and grounds keeping us away. Could use a good scrubbing in the cottage. Overall good stay but could have easily been better.

Great little spot

The host was very responsive to questions and accommodating with requests we had. It is a duplex as other the other review stated, but we had the large backyard to ourselves and felt private. Kayaking along the river is a must, lots of nature to see. The town is a 5 minute drive so you are close to amenities. Overall we had a great stay. Don’t hesitate to book here!
