The Inn at Westwynd Farm B&B3.0 out of 5.0

My husband and I spent a night in the Carriage House last weekend as one of our month-long silver wedding celebrations. The property and grounds are spectacular and we received one of the warmest welcomes that we have experienced in a b&b. If you love horses, this is the place for you. The farm is a working equestrian facility, so I would suggest a walk out to the barn. It is obvious that the horses are cared for as well as the guests! The ambience of the inn and the carriage house is warm and comfortable. Our breakfast exceeded our expectations in flavor and quantity and my comment about not eating most meat was noted and a special substitution made. The carriage house itself is very private and extremely well appointed. I would highly recommend this inn and we look forward to our return.
One of the most fabulous B & B's out there to visit. The Inn and setting are just glorious. Gorgeous drive into the rural property and within driving distance to great number of attractions. Wish it had been a warmer time of year for us as the porch looked so inviting, I was tempted to put on my winter coat just to experience the serenity from one of the rockers. There was a nice patio as well from a lower floor walkout. As soon as we were welcomed into the inn, we were given a tour and the whole inn was just very well laid out in design. There was always a large selection of home baked goods available as well as hot drinks, cold beverages, prepackaged snacks, and lots of chocolate. The rooms were spacious and the entire inn was immaculate. Fireplace in the lower level was a huge draw. Many spacious areas that were available for relaxation. Guest rooms lacked nothing and were spacious as well. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and very generous. Wait staff was very personable. Our stay here was very memorable and most likely our favorite inn to date.
My husband and I had been to the Inn at Westwynd once before. We wanted to do something special for my sister and brother-in-law who had their 50th wedding anniversary, so we brought them here! We couldn't think of a better place. The warmth of the staff, the rooms, the gourmet breakfasts, the scenery, just everything! it's perfect!
What a delightful way to spend an evening. Rooms were large and clean. Staff and owners so personable and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Grounds beautiful. Fridge stocked with wine, sodas and water. Treats galore including Hershey chocolate. Wish we had scheduled more time here. Truly did not take advantage of all the amenities. Definitely would recommend this beautiful B and B. Don't miss if you are anywhere close.
This is our fourth time staying at Westwynd and walking through the door is like coming home. The owners and staff are quick to make you feel at home. Nothing compares to sitting on one of the porches watching the horses wonder around. You almost don't want to go anywhere.Sometimes we just don't, we hang out there or in the barn with our new found friends, the horses.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Inn at Westwynd Farm over Labor Day weekend. The setting is spectacular on a sprawling horse farm with views of rolling hills and the Hotel Hershey in the distance. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and the servings were huge. We also enjoyed the fresh baked goods each afternoon...and evening :) The weather was not great but we managed to find things to do in the area, including dinner and craft beers at Troegs Brewery, an afternoon hike along the Horse-Shoe Trail (about 1 mile from the hotel - ask someone at the hotel for directions to the trail head), shopping at the Tanger Outlets, drinks at the Hotel Hershey and Warwick Inn in Hummelstown, and a stop off at the PA Renaissance Fair on our way back to Philly. We hope to return!
We have traveled to many B&B in the states and in Europe. This one is welcoming, and charming yet makes you feel more like a 5-star hotel with their service and food. The location is in the heart of the country but, it's a quick 10 min drive from downtown Hershey! Since I'm a horse lover the equsitrian theme made it even more perfect.
This was our 2nd visit after many years. The setting is quaintly picturesque, combining natural surroundings of blooming gardens surrounding the house with views of horses in the fields. We loved our large Trapper room. The king bed was very comfortable and loved the jacuzzi filled with bath salts. The hosts Carolyn and Frank, with help from Innkeeper, Aurelia, asked about our dietary needs or restrictions so they could prepare a breakfast to suit our requirements. There is just one meal offered with no choices, but I know if I asked for something, it would have been provided. In the past, I was very pleased with the creativity. This time, not so much. But basically, that was my fault since I wasn't a big fan of eggs benedict and hollandaise sauce. The fresh baked goods are to die for. There is always fresh fruit and cereals, if you desire. A long table in an inviting entry offers more freshly baked goodies all day. There is also a refrigerator stocked with soda, wine, bottled water for guests to help themselves. Did I mention Hersheys chocolates? They are everywhere, in your room and throughout the house. The library is available with computer, printer, videos, games. Loved the relaxing waterfall fountain!
From the moment we pulled into the beginning of the driveway I knew this is a special place. . . Seeing the Inn appear around the bend made me smile after the very long trip up from Georgia. Walking through the front door presented a warm and relaxed feeling complete with a bright and smiling face. Aurelia is an amazing hostess, she greeted us ( even though we were quite late ) and very graciously showed us the entire inn. I was quite slow having been in the car for about 15 hours and she was quite patient. I truly felt as if I had arrived at a good friend's home and not just an inn. Aurelia signed us up for breakfast ( you may choose your own time ) and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Bright Flash room which is located on the first floor just off the dining room. The room is much larger than the photos online appear. The bathtub is divine and it was a very welcome respite for my sore back. They quite frankly thought of everything - from toiletries you may have forgotten to bath salts for the tub ( complete with LED candles which were so soft and serene and added immensely to the tranquil feeling of the room. ) I discovered early in the morning why this room is called the Bright Flash - because it floods with sunlight. It would be perfect for early risers ( I wish there were black out shades because I'm a night owl ). Our amazing hostess even recommended a Gluten Free restaurant near by ( probably the best gluten free restaurant I have ever been to. If you are gluten free check out Piazza Sorrento - you won't be sorry ) Breakfast in the morning was amazing. As I've said we are gluten free ( I have Celiac Disease ) and it wasn't the slightest issue for this amazing team. Both the scrambled eggs and gluten free French Toast were sumptuous. I highly recommend Westwynd. I plan on staying here again & again. ( I found out it is only 30 minutes to the PA Renfaire.). Thank You all for making the long journey home after the eclipse as amazing as the main event.
We loved staying here for 2 nights. Both mornings the breakfast was delicious:) We had fresh muffins, fruit, French toast, sausages and an egg cup one morning with potatoes. We loved visiting with the horses and goats. Our rooms were very comfortable. We stayed in the Roman canon and penny power rooms. It was a great experience.
