My friends and I absolutely loved this stay on the lake in West Virginia! The artsy vibe of the home, views, and wildlife were amazing. Plenty of places to sit and catch up. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances (thank you for the local coffee!) Each adult having their own bedroom and full bath was a huge perk!

Overall a great stay at this property as it was a terrific location at the end of the lake and therefore super quiet and relaxing. The dock was perfect for fishing (kids loved it) and the home itself was very accommodating. The fire pit and hot tub were nice bonuses too, which we used every night. Cell service/internet was very spotty due to the location but the included wifi definitely helped. I would suggest maybe installing a wifi booster though as you only really had decent wifi on the main floor. The hosts were very communicative and helped us with the issue where the door lock malfunctioned and we weren't able to lock it initially when we went out for dinner and then couldn't get in when we returned. There were a few things broken (which is common and the hosts disclosed) but the biggest was the missing pull chain on the basement bedroom fan, so it was in-operable. We ended up buying a box fan at a store in Charles Town to use while staying. Charles Town is probably the closest town where grocery stores, Sheetz, etc. are located and will be a 20-30 minute trip each way so be sure to plan accordingly to make sure you have have everything. Again, it was a very nice property and we would definitely look into Mountain Mama properties if we look at future vacations in Harpers Ferry!

A perfect stay,

A beautiful, well maintained, colorful and comfortable home. Looks like a home thatis loved and well cared for. Gormet kitchen, with all the bells and whistles. The screened in porch is a place to spend hours, and the decks are so well positioned to capture the views. The dock was also a hit. I am already dreaming of returning.

Beautiful and Peaceful

The lakefront area is tucked away and is private and peaceful. Most of us stayed put the entire weekend — the house and property itself feels like a mini private resort - from hot tub to swimming to kayaking to sitting around the fire pit and rocking on the porch - it was such a relaxing weekend away. It is easy to come back and forth to the lake and dock from the house. House is comfortable and cozy but also allows enough space so you don’t feel like you are on top of each other. Our tweens/teens loved it - everyone was off their devices for most of the weekend! We would love to come back!

Outstanding Property and Management

Beautiful setting if you love the outdoors. This property was designed to be everything to anyone. It was very well furnished; it had a layout that was optimized for multi-family / multi-guest. It had all the amenities that I could think of and we entertained guests while there. This property is definitely managed by people who have a solid professional background in the business of property rentals.

Sometimes moms need to band together and get away from the chaos of summer schedules. We lucked out with wonderful weather and a great place to stay. Nice rooms, plenty of space, quiet setting, and good communication.

Beautiful property and house!

We had a girlfriend's weekend here and it was awesome! Loved the hot tub, loved the fact that each of us had our own bedroom AND our own full bathroom. It's a beautiful spacious and well laid out house. Beautiful view of the lake. Sat outside at the pier and drank our coffee. Loved it!

Wedding in Virginia

The house and location is so great! The home was well heated , big enough to fit a family of 8 comfortably and had an outstanding view! We were right on the lake and nestled amongst the trees for a great view each day. We enjoyed the kayaks and hot tub and had room for all of us to spread out! Ate a meal at the club house restaurant and it was good food and nice people! Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Our stay

The first thing my husband said when we entered the property was "fantastic." The accommodations were above our expectations, very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with dinnerware and utensils and had a very large variety of spices. There was a complimentary bag of whole-bean coffee and a coffee grinder. The screened-in porch was well designed and kept the bugs out. Lots of seating inside and outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great weekend getaway

This was the perfect place for our 4 couples to getaway for the weekend. The home was beautiful and we loved spending time around the fire and down by the lake. It was remote but easy to get to Harpers Ferry and Leesburg. We plan to return and visit the many wineries.

The perfect weekend getaway

The house was perfect to accommodate 4 adults. There was plenty of room and lots of toiletries. The views were amazing. You felt like you were in another part of the country yet it was so close to home. Definitely will be booking again.
