Weekend trip to hannover meeting a friend. i booked a clubroom. Arrival by car, with plenty of parking available. Its a bit of walk and keeping a good eye open for small signs to direct you to the lobby. Lobby is big and looks nice. Checkin was solid with a joke. The room itself was nicely done, high ceilings, quiet and clean. And for once, plenty of wallsockets! The bathroom is typical german and a let down for me. Its all working and clean. But its just looking old and stale. i expect more from a sheraton on that.... Breakfast was solid. good choice, freshly made eggs on demand. U can eat in the lounge if you have the access. Check out was smooth and efficient.
Building and hotel room of very high standard reflected in price - focus more on business guests (in my opinion). Reception desk was friendly. A couple of points I would have expected to be managed better: 1. Very high charge for Wifi in room - even above London prices at around € 19.00 / day. Try to book it it as part of your package. 2. Same for parking at € 19/ day - very small parking spots, recommend to park in one of the side streets if you do not mind a short walk. 3. Breakfast only until 10:30 am - would expect 11:00 cover at weekend. € 25 per person if not included in price. I got there at 10:25 and was advised that I had 5 minutes before they close but was not asked if I wanted a coffee. We stayed on the 4th floor, lift only goes to 3rd floor. Some help with the luggage would have been appreciated. Room very nice, spacious and light.
In the middle of the old Pelikan (traditional pen and stationary company) quarter of Hannover. Very friendly staff. Interestingly decorated rooms. Bath good, but laundry needs improvement (see picture).
Nice hotel on the outskirts of Hannover that was fairly easy to get to from the airport and directly on a tram line. The staff was nice and friendly generally, but not consistent. Unless you book the hotel directly and are an "SPG" member you will have to pay for the internet, which was expensive. Nicely appointed although rooms are small and tight.
Well organized hotel, convenient. A had a magnificent suite, really nice and at a very good price, specially for being Germany. Good ammenities for bathroom, huge room space, very well illuminated. The service was good while when you manage to get someone to attend you, they appar to fall short in personnel. Good english speaking personnel, while if they could smile it would be even better. Loved the breakfast, specially the cooker is a crack, it was a spectacle watching him work. You can choose whether to have the breakfast inside or outside in a very calm environment with lot of choices and good quality of the food. Besides, you have a nice bar just in front of the hotel and it's located in a very quite neighbourhood, ideal place for business. In brief, good option for visitting Hannover, it does not seem the typical Sheraton hotel.
Let's place a business hotel in a old factory and see what comes out: a nice mix of history and professionalism. Modern, refurbished rooms, embedded in the old structures (which naturally leads to some odd circumstances like a missing elevator to the 4th floor, a small parking garage etc.). A nice veranda outside the restaurant/breakfast area surrounded by the old building. And a tram station right outside the hotel, easy to reach from the train station. We had a great time in Hanover, highly recommended. Special thanks to the breakfast staff, it's energizing to meet people with some fun and humor at work.
The hotel is new and the service also excellent. Only one minor thing that on the last day they were trying to charge me for breakfast which I never had. But it was resolved after the reception checked to the restaurant. Room was good and very clean.
I was a bit hesitant about staying at this hotel, but we needed to spend a night in Hannover in order to catch an early morning flight. I was very pleasantly surprised! Our room was very clean, with all of the amenities we expected. The food in the hotel restaurant was adequate for our needs. The hotel itself, with its history as a fountain pen factory, was very interesting and unique! The historic nature of the hotel has been maintained on the outside while the interior of the hotel has been completely modernized. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. One very small negative was that you need to climb a small staircase upon entering the hotel, in order to reach the reception area. There is a narrow ramp provided so that you can pull your suitcase alongside you, but if you have a heavy suitcase as I did, that can be a challenge (upon arriving AND departing). Overall, we enjoyed our brief stay.
Nicely styled hotel around the old warehouse. The big windows are great. The breakfast is very good also but on the pricey side. The same applies to dinner in 5th Avenue. All the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The one thing that was very disappointing is that the room temperature control was all turned off, with a predefined temperature that you couldn't change. This meant I was too hot all night and didn't sleep well. Which after all is the most important part of a hotel stay.
Fantastic service quality, amazing gym and fitness facilities (inc tanning beds and massage services), decent breakfast spread and cleanly and well furnished rooms. Comfortable beds and decent wifi. No complaints.
