Years ago this hotel was the "go to" place in town. Although the staff was helpful, the interior looked run down and dark (poor lighting) in the pool area.

Had stayed here years ago, but the quality had dropped since then. The room had both outside and inside door, but the room could not be accessed from the outside door. The bedsheets had cigarette burn holes, and also blood stains on them. The bathroom sink did not have a stopper. The tub drain stopper was rusty, and the hot water control knob was broken. There were not enough linens or pillows, and when we asked for more, we had to go to the desk to get them ourselves--which was a long walk from our room--there was no offer to bring them to us.

Back in the sixties this was probably one of the best motels around. The up keep has been forgotten a little. They have a shamrock pool with arcade games, pool tables and ping pong. A person can tell that there is a lot of history in this hotel. Hopefully they can get it back to the prime.

It' a good stay. The staff is nice and the room is comfortable and clean.

The worst things: bathroom towers and the breakfast

I would have given 5 across the board but asked for smoking room and when we arrived they said only non. But the hotel itself was great and the pool is AWSOME!!!

Good - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Key cards worked first time. Hotel is a kid's destination with a very large swimming pool that was full of kids. There is also a small arcade and exercise room. Cooked breakfast food was still hot and plentiful near the end of the breakfast hours. Room was clean and quiet. Bad - Bathroom facilities were in need of major repair - toilet wobbles from side to side, cold water facet leaked more water inside the wall than came out the tap. Evidence of major water leaks in ceiling that were painted over with mismatched white paint.

this motel's stuff are really nice and kind. and breakfast was awesome.

this motel is so cheap and easy to get in room. if they have microwave, it is better.

The building is tired. Window broke in breakfast nook. Breakfast ok. Breakfast nook was cold, but the two portable heaters were helping some. You get what you pay for.

great deal for price. Super perfect pool for kids.

Super hot breakfast, speedy check in w/ booking online.

Great deal - nothing fancy. Nice breakfast. Fast!!

Was a good place to stay at and sleep. Before a long road trip.

I was a little suspect of the hotel when I first walked in, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was fairly clean. It is clearly a relic of days gone by, but looks it would be a fun place to be with a group. The breakfast was much better than expected.

I requested a handicap room with connecting doors and called a head to see if my requests could be accommodated. I also stated I was bringing 2 small dogs. I arrived , checked in and my husband & his mom went to her room. When I walked in with the dogs I was told those rooms were no pet rooms . My husband & I had to explain that my mother-in-law needed 24/7 care so connecting doors were a must and that was why I paid $7 more per night per room for pool side rooms to get connecting doors. We were finally given the rooms they had originally given us. My mother-in-laws room was not handicap accessible like I requested. You could barely get the wheelchair around in the room , we could not even get it in the bathroom & if she had not brought her portable toilet with her we would have not managed. Her tub had a chunk out of it that had a shabby patch job and her toilet took 2 times to flush. Our shower had a slight drip in our room. We have used this motel in the past and always had no problems but we have decided next trip to upgrade our motel.

This hotel is a fairly basic hotel but had a great price. Good size room in decent condition, but not exceptional. Nothing special though. The hot tub was broken down while we were there but they did have an indoor pool and a continental breakfast and free wifi. So overall a good bargain.

Budget motel. Good location to get rest, gas & food. Quiet motel. There was no road noise, horns or other sounds. Gave me a good quiet sleep. Breakfast was included and had eggs, coffee, juice, and danish. Nothing fance but adequate.

You could quibble about a lot of things if you're hard to please but for a base this place couldn't be beaten - it was comfortable, friendly and had the best swimming pool I've ever experienced in a hotel. Unfortunately there are those who could never be pleased and my advice to them - get over it and enjoy this place for what it is - a cheap base to enjoy a lovely part of the country
