Best Western On The River

Hotel is right on historic Hannibal Main Street and Tom Sawyers white picket fence. Very nice indoor pool. It's about 2 blocks from the train tracks and the train whistles every time it comes through, which is about once an hour.

Very comfortable rooms. Room doors are inside. Pool with lights located in the middle of the hotel. Full breakfast in the morning was amazing. Drove past all the other hotels in the area and am really glad we stays here

Nice hotel. Close to the river and downtown. Enjoyed our stay.

From our room we were able to see the Mississippi River. It was a great view, from a great room. The Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Will stay there again when in Hannibal. Great location to shops and restaurants.

THIS is where you want to stay, if you want a KOOL hotel, good amenities, nice room and to be RIGHT in the MIDDLE of where you need to be to SEE Hannibal!!! You really can walk to most things from here. What a great little town. But, give yourself plenty of time (at least two days...) to see stuff. And make SURE you bring a SWIMSUIT for this hotel! Great pool and Jacuzzi... indoors, prominently. Nice.

Hotel was just a short walk away to stores, restaurants and the river. Continental breakfast was definitely one of the better we've had.

Very nice stay! Super clean and people were very friendly!!!!!

The check in process wasn't difficult but we felt like the gentleman checking us in would rather have been doing anything else. He also cheapened the experience a bit by talking about how lame the town's claim to Mark Twain was and how cheesy the whole place was. We still enjoyed our visit to the town but could have done without the pessimism. Our room was right on the main floor which was OK but a little loud by the pool. We enjoyed how close the hotel was to everything though, that was easily the best part, great little walking spot on our long trip across the country.

This hotel was is a perfect location and the staff was amazing! I will recommend this hotel to friends traveling in the area.

I read other reviews on this hotel and almost did not book this one. Now I understand others reviews. The location in town was great, walk to everything (almost), not the caves. There is NO river view from your room!!!! In fact, my room was on the west side and had NO outside window at all. The window we did have, overlooked the pool, which is in the middle of the lobby!! So, it could be noisy until 10pm. However, the staff did close the pool then. Stayed 3 nights, funny after returning to my room after the 2nd day and my key no longer worked. OOPs, we only activated your card to 2 nights. Really? I gave this hotel a overall rating of 3 only because of its location!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. They serve a full breakfast and if one is looking for a quite weekend get away, this is the place. Located in downtown Hannibal and within walking distant to Mark Twain Museums and local shops. There is something for everyone.

Pleasant hotel. Good location. Indoor pool in lobby area causes chlorine smell throughout lobby.

The best thing about this hotel was the location. It is within walking distance of most attractions. The staff was not very friendly or accommodating. Overall nice hotel.

I stayed at Best Western in Hannibal on my way from Chicago to Wichita. It was an okay hotel, however, compared to the other options, it was not a particularly good value. The room was large and comfortable enough, but the bathroom was small, just like the towels, and had an annoying light/fan combination. The room had no external window which meant no natural light; and only inexpensive plastic drinking glasses were provided. The staff really didn’t know the area, and couldn’t recommend any restaurants. (The hotel had no restaurant or bar.) The breakfast, while included, was nothing special, although the cook was very pleasant. There were a couple of very cute diners that would have been a better option; but when the price is higher than other hotels because of the included breakfast, you are reluctant to go out of the hotel. The hotel was near the Mississippi River and the older section of town, which was quite nice. It did have a a good pool and hot tub.

Rented 2 rooms.. The first room was fine, 2 beds, very nice. Went to second room, and the room was unmade. Housekeeping did not do their job, and did not let the front desk know. Was given another room, king sized bed, jacuzzi room. Room itself was fine, except, you could not draw the dark curtains closed. We were on 1st floor. Had to turn off all lights in room, for fear of passers by looking into the room at us. Had the light, see- thru curtains on the window, and that was all. Please see that ALL rooms have the privacy dark curtains available to be closed. Very disappointing. Front desk clerk was courteous and apologized for having to move us.

One of few descent hotels in Hannibal. Busy place.

Most of the rooms in this hotel overlook the pool. I guess that would be great if you have kids (or an entire soccer team, which also booked the same day as us). The side we were on had no outside windows, and had bad lighting, so it was dark and noisy . There was very little parking. The "full breakfast " was a joke. Certainly not what they advertise. The bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine. We would not stay there again, or visit Hannibal again for that matter.

We were on the northwest side of Missouri, listening to news report about the rains and the river overflowing its banks when we called the Best Western on the River in Hannibal. The desk clerk reassured us and made a note that we would be a very late arrival. The streets were as water-free as foretold and the hotel everything that previous reviewers promised. The rooms are clean, very well designed with excellent amenities, and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hannibal. The Mark Twain historical buildings are a very short walk from the Best Western so it is also very convenient to the town's historical section.

Toured the Mark Twain museums and the Cave. Hotel could have used light blocking drawable curtains. A room with two double beds could have used a sink outside the bathroom. The continental breakfast was only average. They could use a waffle maker, yogurt, fresh fruit and more sweet roll donut options.

Great location, easy walking distance to most of tourist outings. Great Breakfast.
