We love this hotel and have visited many times--highly recommended. Thank you, once again, for the wonderful stay. A delight indeed! A room with a view and a wonderful comfy bed! We dined at the Thai restaurant for the first time--truly delicious! A special mention to the bar staff, the best Bloody Mary Cocktails I have ever tasted! See you again soon! My wife and I came here for a couple of days, away from reality. Never used the spa here even though I have been to Careys Manor on quite a few occasions. The spa itself was lovely, both the main pool and the 'exclusive' spa were clean, warm, and just an extremely relaxing environment. In terms of the main Zen spa, there were plenty of things you could make use of. The hydrotherapy pool was sooo relaxing (even though the chlorine did get too much after being in there way to long), sauna and steam rooms are part and parcel really. They did however have a more fragrant smell than the ones that were buy the pool. The experience showers were a fresh of air. The ice bucket came in extremely handy and was lovely just reinvigorating oneself. Upstairs there were stone beds which I personally wasn't fond off but lots of people are. The fact that it's extremely quiet put me off as I wouldn't want to start snoring! While we were there we had a treatment each. I had the lava stones, and my wife had a massage. They were extremely helpful in making her aware of what she could and couldn't have while pregnant. The room itself was a lovely boost as we were upgraded to a four poster bed. If I had the money I'd go back again but it just makes little breaks even more special.
This was our 6th visit and this one was complimentary as the previous one wasn't very good at all but the management were quick to rectify and offer a complimentary voucher which included a glass of champagne and afternoon tea. It was a superb afternoon, we were able to access the whole Senspa and the afternoon tea was delightful. The staff are always good and courteous, many thanks.
The staff at Carey's couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by lovely, friendly and helpful doormen who explained the check-in procedure. They took our bags and ensured these were delivered to our room when it was ready. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all great and a welcome relief after a day walking in the New Forest. The bar and staff were also friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was clean and functional and we had the added bonus of being able to walk out to and sit in the gardens. Nothing was ever any trouble from booking tables at any of the on-site restaurants to giving us a tour of the facilities, providing maps of walking area, the town and offering local recommendations. I'd definitely stay at Carey's again and felt thoroughly spoilt and relaxed by the time we left! :-)
We love staying at Careys Manor - it is such a special treat and somewhere we can go to really relax and get away from everything. The spa facilities are wonderful, it's lovely to relax and unwind by the pool with a good book before a swim and then a dip in the jacuzzi. The rooms are so plush and comfortable as well as being gorgeous, especially the rooms with a little garden patio area! Our favourite restaurant is The Blaireau for its relaxed holiday atmosphere and top notch French cuisine, and the Thai Zen Garden is the best Thai food we've ever had. Our favourite place to stay, I cannot recommend it highly enough 😊
I had purchased 4 Afternoon Tea Gift Vouchers for my parents and my parents in-law to use at their leisure of which they booked fro yesterday, Wednesday 14th June 2017. On speaking with them last night, they were thrilled with the Afternoon Tea - there was more than they could eat but they were able to take these home. Disappointingly, my Mum was met by a rude member of the Reception team when she went to redeem her vouchers. She was abruptly told that redeeming a voucher would take half an hour & my Mum was made to feel like an inconvenience. As a result, it tarnished such a lovely afternoon, of which was a present. I am a firm believer that first and last impressions are important, but unfortunately both sets of parents will now not return due to the attitude of the Reception member.
Stayed here for my wife's birthday Such a great relaxing weekend. We both loved it The zen spa is so so good Great treatment as well Lunch time food was great and light ready for some more relaxing. The rooms are lovely and our evening meal was just the best
A lovely hotel made all the better by the friendly and helpful staff! Our four poster suite was lovely with some beautiful old pieces of furniture. The food was excellent and the spa area a welcome retreat on a wet day although slightly disappointed that not of the spa areas were included for the price paid! Brocklehurst itself is a lovely village and so nice to see the ponies and cattle roaming freely around! Would definitely like to return one day! Thanks Carey's! 😊
This was my first visit and probably my last visit to Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa. Our bedroom was very tired looking, with a strange metal guard in front of the juilette balcony door that resembled the bottom of a mattress, very ugly and added nothing to overall appearance of the room. The wardrobe had definitely seen better days and the corridors connecting the different parts of the hotel, were in desperate need of re-decoration. The signage consisted of A4 sheets of white paper stuck to the walls, not what you expect for a four star hotel. The carpets were grubby and in need of a good hoover. Also the faux leather seats in the breakfast room were stained and dirty. On the plus side the Spa treatments were good, although the treatment rooms need updating and the food in the Zen restaurant was very tasty. Overall an expensive one night break in a hotel that is in need of an overhaul, lacking in atmosphere.
Every visit to Carey's is always enjoyable. The facilities are great. We used the gym, pool and jacuzzi. Lovely room with views over the gardens and close to the Spa entrance. Breakfast in the Cambium restaurant is always a treat, buffet breakfast or order from the menu. The eggs benedict were divine! Looking forward to returning soon.
