Really beautiful hotel and facilities! Marcin was just wonderful, nothing was too much trouble especially as we had our 9 month old baby with us. Beautiful spa and excellent full body massage too! Very good variety at breakfast, would definitely recommend.
Mother’s Day. We’ve literally just got back from the most beautiful, well thought of, afternoon tea. I cannot praise the staff enough for this afternoon. The room was beautifully decorated for the release of the new ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ film- umbrellas on the ceiling and a lady dressed up beautifully as Mary herself. Thank you ever so much Careys Manor. We will be returning!
Lovely hotel. We stayed in Room 15 very quiet and in main house which was nice. Staff friendly and obliging. Facilities great especially the Spa. If you want to use hydrotherapy section book in advance as places are limited and weekend this time of year very busy. Good choice of Restaurants we ate in The Blaireau which was fine. Can't comment on breakfast as we left quite early.
We booked a one night stay through deal site secret escapes we had an Oakwood room which was lovely we ate at the zen Thai restaurant which was very nice and had a massage at SenSpa which was well worth the money , the pool and other spa facilities were all great but best of all was the service , every member of staff we encountered was fantastic nothing was too much , it might only be 4 star facilities which to be fair it is but it is 5 star service oh also like to add the breakfast in the Cambrium restaurant was very good as far as buffet breakfasts go
Great short stay at this hotel extremely helpful and friendly staff very homely atmosphere pool a great size all very clean stayed in a newly refurbished garden room very nice but quite hot fantastic meal in the French restaurant and breakfast next morning amazing everything on offer and locally produced food lovely stay
A one night stay where we were upgraded to such a lovely room. No 20. The Rose Room. A very busy Sunday with a wedding Fair but we were welcomed and attended to with such a warm welcome. Thank you Hannah. All your colleagues were very attentive too. Our room in the Manor Suite had problems with the heating but two large electric heaters were ideal. We had a delicious meal in the Zen Garden Restaurant. It was very much a reminiscence for us as our son was married at Carey’s Manor in 2005, and we have stayed a few times since. Can’t wait to return.
My husband and I stayed here for a 2 day Valentine Spa treat - our birthday treat! The package included breakfast, treatments and use of the Hydrotherapy facilities. The Thai restaurant was very good - expect diners to be wearing robes and slippers during the day! The hydrotherapy facilities were varied and just great. The general swimming pool was a bit cold but still a good size. As the hotel offers gym membership, expect membership classes throughout the day - for instance there was an aqua class in the main pool during our stay. The hotel has areas that look in need of some refurbishment and our bathroom, although clean, was Premiere Inn standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our spa treatments. The main restaurant is more fine dining and quite expensive - our preference was the Thai restaurant. The grounds are well maintained but a little cosy for neighbouring buildings. Staff were very friendly and keen to share their expertise. Whilst a bit expensive,it was a great treat and we would return.
Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea in lovely surroundings and with very helpful and polite staff. Would like to come back to enjoy the other facilities. The retaurant was airy, well presented and very clean. Could not fault anything.
Staff very nice and attentive, service excellent, breakfast wonderful, rooms warm comfortable and spacious.room service good ,large lounges with open fires and comfortable armchairs, in the middle of the new forest so easy access to all parts of the surrounding areas
My husband booked a three night winter break (b/b and dinner) as a thank you to me for looking after him when he broke his leg just before Christmas. We arrived on the Tuesday when the 'beast from the east' was moving in but had no problems with the journey. Our room was comfortable and spacious. It was an Oakwood garden room and was very near the door to the covered way linking the accommodation with the spa facilities. We made good use of the main pool, sauna and jacuzzi but also booked a session in the Senspa which was lovely. We ate in the Cambrian restaurant the first night after having using one of our vouchers for a free chai martini in the bar first. The olives which are served are the best I have ever tasted! Our meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The second night we chose to dine in the Zen Garden where my husband raved about his green chicken curry--even better than mine he said! We had planned to walk in the forest one day and visit the coast on the other but it was so bitterly cold that we only managed a short trip to Lymington. We thought the staff were well trained, very professional and very friendly. We also loved having valet parking. We were due to leave on the Friday morning but after Thursday breakfast, seeing that 'storm Emma' was due later, we made the decision to return home a day early. We were most surprised to find that having pre-paid for three nights we were refunded the cost of our abandoned night. It was a big disappointment to have to leave early but we know we made the right decision. We plan to return later in the year when we can take full advantage of the forest surroundings.
