Wonderful couple of days in the New Forest. The hotel was beautiful, the staff attentive and professional and dinner in Le Blaireau was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. The Spa is also first class and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your visit perfect.

An overnight spa break with a friend for her Birthday. We had a treatment and also attending a class the following morning. We really enjoyed our time on the spa break it was just wonderful and we couldn't fault the staff they were just amazing.

I’ve been visiting Carey’s Manor for over 12 years now and always have a wonderful stay so it would be hard to exceed my expectations generally as they are set very high. On this occasion I brought along a friend who’s had lots of bad luck of late and she needed to relax. We arrived at reception to a lovely greeting and when we checked into the spa, the receptionist there went out of her way to ensure my friend was comfortable, even seeking her out in the hydrotherapy to provide her with a bigger robe. On arrival in our room was a complementary bottle of prosecco and local chocolate which was a lovely touch and we enjoyed it relaxing outside our garden room. Our treatments as always were superb as was the food from breakfast to lunch to dinner. This is by far the best value spa break as Carey’s allows you to arrive at 9am and start using the spa which you can continue to use up to 6pm on the day of check out! You just don’t get that elsewhere, so I’d challenge anyone who claimed it wasn’t good value for a luxury break. My friend is now a spa convert and is already asking when we can return. Thanks for a wonderful stay, expectations exceeded!

We booked online literally hours before turning up. The lovely lady on reception chatted to us giving us all the required information. When I said it was my birthday she upgraded me to a larger room. The room was lovely although the view was of the spa roof, ventilation systems and the college next door. I think the other side of the building had nicer views but as we’d come to explore the new forest not the view from our room we were really impressed. Breakfast was a buffet and had a good choice and quality. Grounds are lovely and the hotel is within walking distance of the station, numerous restaurants (although the hotel has a few), try hiring bikes from CycleExperiences at the station - the electric bikes are huge fun! Great stay - thank you!

We recently stayed at this hotel for a few nights. This was our second visit having stayed there before 6 years ago and returned due to its good location for exploring the New Forest. Staff were very welcoming and helpful on our arrival. We had a ground floor Knightwood Garden room which was more than adequate for our needs, very quiet and had a lovely view of one of the garden areas. The hotel has an excellent spa offering a good selection of massages and other spa treatments as well as a lovely indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The main restaurant has been updated since our last visit making it a very pleasant space to eat. Breakfast is a buffet with some additional options cooked to order. We dined in the Zen Garden Thai restaurant which is also part of the hotel and well worth a visit. Overall, a good hotel and somewhere we will return when next in the New Forest.

We have just returned from 1 nights stay at Carey’s Manor. The reception staff are very warm and welcoming, and thoroughly explain everything about the hotel and your package. We stayed in a garden room which was beautiful, with a sliding door overlooking the well kept grounds. There are ground floor rooms with outdoor seating but we much preferred being on the first floor as it is rather overlooked. The main reason and what we were both looking forward to was the spa, as I had heard such great things about it from other people. Having been to many top spas in the country, Carey’s Manor SenSpa was very much a let down. Although we didn’t visit the Hydrotherapy pools and other sauna’s and steam rooms, so my review may be a little biased, we didn’t want to pay an extra £50 (which we were unaware of prior to our visit) to have the advantage of going up there. It is a little unfair and misleading that when booking a hotel, you have to pay a further charge to use the full facilities...any other hotel would have this inclusive for any guest staying at their hotel. I understand that there are other packages you can have at the hotel, but they should perhaps increase their price so that the full facility use is included within any package. We spent as little time as half an hour in the main spa area...the pool was a good size but the hot tub and steam room were very tacky and dated and the sauna was the size of a wardrobe. Moving onto what was the highlight of our stay, the 3 course dinner which was included in our package. We ate in the Cambium restaurant which had very fresh and modern interior. The Maitre’d and Waiting staff are very attentive and friendly, particularly the young guy that was very chatty (don’t know his name, but he had said he had only been there for 3 months!) The food was delicious!! Breakfast was also served here the following morning and was also not a disappointment!! Great selection of continental and full English buffet and if there’s something not on there you can order it fresh from the kitchen. We very much enjoyed our stay at Carey’s Manor, thank you very much. Chloe & Ian

I booked this Hotel for a Birthday retreat for my partner, She thought the room was lovely I thought it was ok. We had room 10 which was a suite with a roof terrace. It was everything as per the description just the wow factor wasnt really there. I am not blaming the Hotel as I think this is due to the fact that I was trying to book Rhinefield House & couldnt get the room I wanted so i was comparing to to that room & thats not really fair. We tried the Cambian & the Blaireau restaraunts the foos was great in both. The espresso martinis are fantastic. I wouldnt stay here again it wasnt my type of hotel. Dont let that put you off as i think my expectations were to high as this hotel is very good & the staff & facilities are amazing

We booked a garden room with outside seating following reviewing comments and we were not disappointed, it was great. We booked originally for 4 nights but enjoyed our stay so much we ended up staying 6 nights. Thanks to you all for a great week, from the gentleman who greeted us outside on arrival and made us feel welcome as we got out of the car and introduced us to a fellow 'Yorkie' on reception, Heather, who was just brilliant with everything. A special thank you to all the staff in both the 'Cambium' for breakfast, excellent food and service and in the 'Le Blaireau' bistro for dinner, everyone was so welcoming, friendly, attentive, polite and helpful in both restaurants. You all as a team made our stay a really enjoyable experience in a beautiful part of our country with so much to see and do. Thank you everybody.

We booked through secret escapes and really found a gem. Loads of parking, four different restaurants, efficient staff, comfortable rooms. but the Spa was amazing. Plenty of staff around so even though the hotel was ultra busy, you didn't wait long for anything. I would go back again for a spa weekend with friends or a romantic weekend.. really lovely hotel.

The Hotel is very well located for the New Forest, the staff are brilliant and super helpful and polite throughout. The rooms and comfortable and the spa facilities very good. I would highly recommend.
