We stayed for 2 nights in November and loved the location of the hotel together with the Drift Inn next door. It is truly dog friendly, even down to allowing us to leave the dog in our room whilst eating, something that is very unusual even in so called dog friendly hotels normally. The staff were very helpful and I'd especially like to mention Elaine on reception who made a great fuss of our lurcher, much to her delight. Our bedroom was in the main hotel and was very large with a lovely view of the forest out of the window. Whilst the decor in the room and particularly bathroom was tired, the actual facilities were very good - excellent shower, large fluffy towels, good storage, lighting and very comfy bed. Dinner and breakfast were both good although we were surprised by the constant repeating music in the restaurant, even hearing it from our room at 6am on one morning. Otherwise this is a charming hotel and we would happily stay here in the future.

Omg what a lovely hotel we stayed Friday to Monday had a relaxing time the room was good staff friendly and helpful the food was fantastic in the hotel and the pub next door we loved it so much we are planning our next stay

We visited Beaulieu Hotel for afternoon tea we decided to use our Redletter day on the way home from a weekend in Bournemouth. Having experienced several afternoon teas at other hotels, I was disappointed that a glass of Prosecco was extra and some of the cakes were hard; the scones were like rock cakes and I had to ask for replacements! We were given 4x fingers of sandwiches with filings we didn’t like and the crusts were left on! I didn’t like the plain white plates it was srved on and the heavy teapot; to me an afternoon tea should be served on fine bone china to lend a sense of elegance and occasion. The hotel has no character with the laminate floors and plain decor, it reminded me of a Premier Inn which is a shame as the location is the heart of the beautiful New Forest with wild horses grazing outside. The service was good and we were greeted on arrival and a table had been reserved for us.

Our stay was fantastic at the Beaulieu hotel. We were bought a voucher from RLD for a night away and dinner/breakfast for two and had a pleasant stay from beginning to end. We had seen online that some of the furniture was quite dated and didn't know what to expect when we first arrived, but we were in the garden annex and it was a beautiful, modern renovated part which was stylishly decorated and had nice views of woodland. The reception staff were pre-occupied when we go there but apologised numerous times for the wait and made sure they got to us asap, arranging dinner times for the evening and talking us through the local area and hotel facilities. We ended up changing the time of dinner from our room and they were more than happy to accomodate. The food, contrary to one astonishing review below, was exceptional. I had the salmon, crayfish and beetroot roulade for starter which was fantastic but was outdone by my main meal of pan-seared lamb fillet which I genuinely think is in my top 3 meals of all time. Fantastic food paired with a nice wine and a lovely ambience with dimmed lighting and quiet background music. We didn't get time to go in the pool, but hopefully we will be back for another stay in the future. Thanks for a lovely experience. We drove from Beaulieu Hotel in to Lyndhurst the next day and had a stroll into the quirky giftshops before a walk in the countryside and a short drive back home.

This hotel is right in the middle of the New Forest, so comes complete with fabulous views and roaming ponies. It is in a great location to access places of interest such as Beaulieu car museum, Bucklers Hard, Exbury gardens etc The food in the hotel and the pub was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome by all the hotel staff. Highly recommended.

this hotel leads straight out into the forest. Perfect for long walks with or without your dogs. We took 2 dogs with us and our room accommodated their cage perfectly, we were even allowed to pop out for a quick bite to eat and leave the dogs in our room. The staff were so friendly and really put us at ease about leaving them. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection, can recommend the poached eggs. The hotel was very quiet so perfect for a get away with your partner. We hope to return next year.

My partner and I booked two nights here to celebrate my 50th Birthday. Check-in was quick, easy and we received a friendly welcome. Our room was in the building next door. We had a large room with a comfortable double bed and a fabulous powerful shower. We went out to eat on the first night but booked the hotel restaurant for the second night. The breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from. The evening meal was delicious too. Only a couple of minor issues: 1. We wanted coffee after checking in at around 2.30pm but we could not find anyone to serve us in the bar/restaurant area and so we took ourselves off to the pub next door! 2. We fancied a drink in the bar at 10.30pm on our first night but we were told we couldn't have one because "the till is closed". I wasn't sure why they couldn't just add it to our room bill plus it shouldn't really have been a problem as their details say they are open for snacks and drinks until 11pm. All in all we enjoyed our stay but some improvements could be made.

We'd hoped for a tranquil retreat in the New Forest, but hadn't realised this is really a wedding hotel. So from the moment we arrived the whole hotel was filled with raucous wedding guests plus a gang of children who made it impossible to attempt the pool. There was nowhere peaceful to relax. Even the receptionists were noisy. The room was fine despite the inexlicable four-poster frame on the bed. Worst of all, though, was the restaurant. Awful food clearly NOT prepared on the premises but delivered in and it showed. Service was execrable - Young waiter knew nothing about the wine, eventually tried to charge us for the wrong, more expensive one, forgot the water, food brought long before the wine arrived. Overpriced and a poor experience.

Room was clean but little details lacking. I was in room 8 floor creaked in bedroom and ensuite, so much so I was uncomfortable walking across the room. Room felt strange and unwelcome. Little touches like a smal bottle of water missing. Dinner was ok but room lacked atmosphere, staff were polite, professional but cold the receptionist in the morning for check out tried to be helpful, but tone and delivery was irritating. Wouldn't stay here agian.

A lovely location, except close to a train line line, and the hotel is a little tired, and could do with a makeover. The staff try hard but again need a little extra customer service skill, delays in checking in, bar shuts early, you feel that everything is just a little too much.. value for money ok, good location, just needs a makeover and an extra mile taken by some of the staff
