Come enjoy cozy, modern, contemporary vibes with this home away from home in our sweet Downtown Hammond, America! This two bedroom, one bath cottage is located two walkable blocks from the main downtown area full of wonderful restaurants, boutique shops, bars, salons, coffee shops, & much, much more. Interior space is composed of two floors featuring the living room & kitchen on the first floor as well as two bedrooms, one full bathroom, & laundry area on the second floor.

The living room features a 60-inch flatscreen that is Roku-ready for all your favorite streaming apps powered by newly available fiberoptic internet service/WiFi.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all modern appliances so you are ready no matter if you are dining in or eating out at over 20 restaurants nearby. Also included: Coffee station with complimentary coffee, few breakfast bars for on the go, a couple bourbons/tequila at the bar, as well as a few beers from our local brewery- Gnarly Barely!

Both bedrooms feature a comfy queen-sized bed with sealy mattresses as well as Roku-ready flatscreens mounted on the wall.

The full bathroom features funky hexagon tile floors, beaded board ceilings, & classic subway tile in the tub/shower combo as well as a hairdryer and some minor toiletries available that you may have forgotten. Laundry room provides free use of washer/dryer with detergent and fabric sheets provided. Iron/Ironing board also available.

You will have the entire unit to yourself as well as small, private fenced in yard area on the exterior. This 80 year old structure has recently been renovated completely from head to toe with updated amenities throughout the entire space!

Hammond is the perfect combination of small town with the conveniences of a larger city! This location is 9 blocks from SELU campus. Enjoy college sporting events, walking paths, numerous festivals and events throughout the year as well as a farmer's market on Saturday. Street and parking lots are free and public (first come/first serve). Loading and unloading for our space can be done at the front door right in our driveway with ease.

This location is fairly quiet however our downtown has several events throughout the year that bring live music and dancing in the streets! Feel free to ask for information on upcoming events that may be happening at the time of your stay!

Other details to note:
1: Train tracks run through the entire downtown area so you will definitely hear the train several times during the day and night. Its not very loud but we figured we should mention it. (Earplugs are available in the night stands for light sleepers)

We want you to have a great stay but you remain responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning caused during your stay by anyone who enters the property.

Please understand this fee schedule exists only to deter bad guests who plan on causing chaos and damage to our property. We have no intention of excessively or randomly charging fees to five star guests.

This is a great property to stay at in Hammond. It is close enough to walk to downtown restaurants and shops and also very close to SLU campus. The house is very nicely decorated and was very clean and everything worked as needed. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area.

This was our third stay at Angelina House, and hopefully there will be many more in our future. The location is perfect for getting around downtown Hammond on foot. The decor and amenities make it a place you really look forward to returning. Having a laundry room on the same level as the bedrooms is appreciated. The small, fully fenced yard works is great for traveling with our dog. Sergio is always avaliable and accommodating. Lastly, while the train tracks are near the house, hearing the train can be quite soothing, not disruptive.

SLU Move In

My husband and I were in Hammond for the weekend to move our son into his SLU apartment. The house was in a perfect location to walk to all the restaurants and bars downtown. Charming and dog friendly!

Our 2nd stay in Angelina's House was top notch! Communication with Sergio couldn't have been quicker and easier, starting with our booking, all the way through to our departure. The house is so well outfitted, organized, and pristine. My husband and I (former Hammond-ites) stayed with our dog, and we all felt exceptionally comfortable! The side yard has a solid privacy fence that is not shared with the duplex, and it was perfectly sized and located for our dog to get outdoor time without concern. The location is perfect to get around downtown Hammond and walk to Southeastern's campus. If your curious, it is about 1.5 miles from the house to the far side of the main campus. While the train tracks are about a block away, the sound was never disruptive; the train is elemental to Hammond's charm. This is a perfect spot!

Long weekend

We loved this super cute rennovated townhouse type place! I kept telling my husband to take notes on the kitchen and overall vibes/decor because that’s how I want to remodel our home. 😂 we rented this place for a long weekend to go to the Eras Tour, and it was perfect for what we needed. The check in/out process was easy, bathroom is bigger than expected, and we loved that there was a washer and dryer. It was so nice to come back after a long day in New Orleans and cozy up on the big couch. They also had things like a fan, pack n play, and toothbrush/paste just in case, which was nice. There is a train like the description says, but it didn’t bother us at all and didn’t seem to go through too often. The town is adorable and a very quiet neighborhood. We would totally stay here again if ever in the area!

Updated downtown house.

This was a very clean and tastefully decorated home. It is close to many restaurants in Hammond. We were comfortable with our adult children and their pets . The fenced area is very small for pets use, but we could walk them with a leash to several grassy areas across the street and clean behind them in both areas. I would prefer not to pay for the required insurance as we always take care of homes we rent and would take care of anything if damaged. This adds to an already high expense. Downtown location is a bit noisy at night if you are looking for total quiet. in both areas.
