Enjoyed the location, the pool and the beach. Close to other activities

Hotel was on the beach with easy access to shops and food. Room was clean with great new beds. Very comfy! Problems with a squeaky air conditioner were handled promptly. Food service was great amenity. The Food Service Manager, Beth, was extremely friendly which is nice to see in any service industry! Wish she worked for me!!

My only complaint was the shower took forever to warm up. Despite that I would stay again.

We had an ocean view room which was amazing. The staff, especially Beckie, were wonderful. They were always cleaning, smiling and greeting us. It is probably the smallest hotel in the line along the beach which is a real benefit!! The breakfast was very good, the pool always clean, and the beach staff was phenomenal.

We had a wonderful time and the hotel staff was very courteous. One of the managers called our room just to check and see if we needed any thing and also to check to see if we needed any thing. That was the first time any hotel staff did that.I would definitely recommend this hotel to any one looking for a peaceful stay on the beach.

My financè and I stayed here for a weekend and these are the things we liked: Double pool and hot tub Poolside bar Hammocks A few different games to play at the pool Clean beach access with 2 volleyball nets Extremely clean room Courteous staff The only negatives we have are: Beach view is a very loose term in their book, our room was on the side of the building with the only view of the beach coming from leaning over the hand rail. Don't ask the staff for recommendations, one staffer actually recommended we go to Winn Dixie to get fresh seafood, when Blaylock's is 1 mile away and supplies 90 of the local restaurants with seafood.

We stayed at this hotel while we were in town for a wedding. I was shocked at how dingy this hotel is. Our room was depressing. Very dark and damp. The staff was very nice. This was the worst money I've ever spent on a hotel. It did have a great location and view. Feels like a $40 a night hotel. I paid almost 10 times that amount.

We enjoyed our stay and being right on the beach. You can always count on Holiday Inn and this was proven once again. Gulf Shores is a wonderful location and staying at this hotel made the trip even better! We are already talking about going back for another visit!

This hotel was part of a vacation package I booked for a mid winter getaway and I couldn't be happier. Room was clean, beds comfy, staff very friendly and helpful. Rates very reasonable for location (beach front) Breakfast was tasty, hot and offered decent choices. Breakfast area was spacious and clean.

Great stay for the weekend. Everyone was so nice. Front desk was great, housekeeper was super nice, and the lady that worked the morning breakfast worked her butt off to keep everything stocked. Very impressed. Great view and nice heated pools as well.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express during Hangout Fest 2014 and had a great time. It's proximity to the beach was great, the room was comfortable and the price was affordable. The bartender, Billy, was awesome - most amazing service I've ever received from a hotel bar!!! Desk service was okay. I left my glasses by the pool one night and asked the receptionist the next morning if she knew anything about it and she said no, sorry - I went back and asked one of the pool guys if they'd seen them and they had them in the lost and found. Was kind of upset that the girl at the desk didn't call the pool staff and ask for me, since I had to track down the pool staff myself, who had them for me. We had another receptionist there when we checked in and she was fantastic, though. Recommended all sorts of things to do while we were in town and was incredibly nice and accommodating. The service was overall great, and what makes this 5 stars versus 4 was definitely Billy's service!!!

Staff is excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Beach was beautiful. Nice outdoor heated pools!

Nice relaxing getaway. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, and beautiful beach. Not much to do within walking distance, but shopping and entertainment available just a short drive away. Hard to beat for the price.

The entire staff is extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is right on the beach, talk about an amazing view!!! The pool is clean and heated. The beds were comfy and the rooms clean.

enjoyed the stay, everything was great. would come back...

The staff was wonderful, rooms clean, and the pool and hot tub were perfect. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed it so much and will stay there next time we go. We love Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

Staffing and hotel were awesome. The bar and bartender are awesome. Give him a raise. Also pools and location are the best I have been too in awhile. Only complaint I have is we were on the top floor and the ac was not working at maximum power, the hotel had no fans so I had to guy but a fan. However 30 dollars won't break me. So it was a enjoyable experience over all.

Everything was good.....the location was awesome, right on the beach, staff was very friendly and their hot breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. The only cons were that it seemed like the walls were fairly thin.....could hear alot of noise and found a couple of hairs on the back of the bathroom door, but all in all it was a nice hotel and I would stay again.

Great location, clean room, nice beach. Great pool, the beach was right off the back of the hotel, and we rented chairs under the umbrellas at the beach - thanks Quaid for all the great service! Full breakfast was good - I was surprised at the breadth of offerings. Kids loved making their own pancakes in the pancake machine. The room was good - nothing extraordinary but seemed fairly clean, and the shower was great - good drainage and great water pressure. We will absolutely be back.

From the friendly guy at check in to the maid getting more towels, everybody smiled, worked quickly and offered to go the extra mile. If there was a need, it was handled promptly and no one acted like it was a 'big deal' to help with anything. We were with a lot of Seniors for the Mardi Gras parades and they brought a table out with hot coffee and supplies to sit by the road so the Seniors would not have to walk all the way up the parking lot! That is class. I have traveled a good amount in my lifetime and stayed in 5 star hotels where the employees had attitudes--this group just had good old fashioned customer service!!!!
