Great place to stay. Loved the private beach access. We used the pool on the 1st floor and had it to ourselves most of the time! Just the right size for the 4 in our family! Easy to get In and out of the parking garage. Loved this place. Will probably book the same place again!

It was small for the 5 of us (we have 3 tall teenagers) but it was ok. Having the pools and beach access was nice. It was clean. Our biggest issue was that the A/C didn’t work well and it felt muggy and was hard to sleep with it so warm. Personally I would have liked a table so we could have played games. There were lots of little things that were not the best, like the patio door sticks terribly, the hot/cold washer lines are switched, thankfully someone logged into Netflix or we wouldn’t have been able to watch anything on TV. Overall, we still enjoyed our trip.

Very relaxing

Stayed here for 7 days. Though the complex is old, it is very comfortable and the amenities are great. Three pools, a very short walk to the beach and the Sugar Shack were great. I would defiantly recommend staying here and plan to return.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The host is non existent. Tried to get in touch with him for over a month, and literally nothing. His toilets could explode and flood his condo, and he would never know. Even VRBO tried to contact him and still no response. I just can’t imagine treating guests that way. There are 100s of other places to stay.. go find one of those places.

The unit was smaller than I anticipated, but having two private bedrooms with a bathroom each was great! Balcony access was wonderful. The walk to the beach was short, and we loved the private access. The pools were amazing! They had one kiddie pool that was excellent! Only 1' deep. Perfect for our littles on the trip, while some mommas sunbathed right in the pool. The pools were never over crowded.

Great Place!

We enjoyed our condo & stay so much! The condo was beautiful & very clean. Pictures show exactly what it looks like so all expectations were met. I’ve seen reviews about the hot water - we had plenty of hot water & it got HOT, even when both showers were in use! Over all would definitely recommend & book again!

Honestly the worst experience. I had messaged the host weeks before our stay and never got a response. Day of check in, the keypad code was never sent. We traveled across 3 states and unable to get access. I attempted to contact the host but no answer was received and the voicemail box was too full to leave a message. VRBO also was not able to reach the host so VRBO cancelled our reservation and refunded us. Thanks for leaving us stranded out of state. Our plans were completely changed because someone didn’t fulfill their part.

Loved it

We love sugar beach condos and stay there every time we go to orange beach. The condo we stayed in this time was great other than we hate they built a high rise next door and blocked the view of the beach (can’t do anything about that). The room was clean and excellent communication from check in to check out!!!

Our experience with this property was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the condo had a very strong musty, mold-like odor throughout the entire unit. The smell was so overwhelming that we couldn’t stay in the room. My daughter and I have asthma, and shortly after being inside we began having an asthma attack, making it unsafe for us to remain in the unit.We immediately attempted to contact the property owner. Between myself, Vrbo customer support, and even the security officer downstairs, multiple attempts were made to reach them. We never received a response from an actual person, only automated messages welcoming us and wishing us a good trip. With no assistance and no way to resolve the situation, we had no choice but to leave and book two hotel rooms elsewhere at our own expense. As of writing this review, we still have not heard from the owner.I understand that issues can happen with any property, but the complete lack of communication and support made an already stressful situation much worse. I hope this review encourages the owner to improve both the condition of the unit and their responsiveness to guests.
