1) Reception Know English. Humble. Good Behavior. Welcoming. 2) Food/Breakfast. Worth it. Totally satisfied. Restaurant is on 36th floor. You can seat outside on gallery and have your breakfast with a wide view of Guangzhou City. 3) Location. BRT stop is near. MTR station is near. Shopping malls and restaurants are near by, just walking distance. Guagnzhou Airport 30mins by Taxi. 4) Rooms Comfortable. Clean and well managed. Try to get the room in between 30th floor to 34th floor. You will enjoy the view from the window. Who are on business trip can easily work from hotel. 5) Wifi- everywhere and fast. I would recommend this hotel for people who are on business trip and for families.

Had a few nights here from Vietnam, location is ideal as it is downtown with all major malls and shops nearby. Room was unfortunately small with dated decor, lack of light in the room,a bathroom which must be over 20 years. Stains on carpet in room. Staff on reception desk helpful. Bank next to reception, ideal for changing money.

I would like to share my experience staying at Majestic Hotel last March 2015. This time, I decided to stay back at this hotel, for 6 nights' stay, after few of my previous stays (in the same hotel) turned out to be acceptable : Nothing great about this hotel except its location so don't expect too much. If I were not mistaken, this was my 3rd stay in the past 5 years; although there was nothing great to be discussed, at least I had no major issues to complain about. Both of me and one of my colleagues arrived in the hotel around 1:45 am that evening after landed in a crowded airport in Guangzhou (Canton Int'l Airport). It took us more than an hour to get our taxi after spending in the queue after midnight. The journey itself took approx. an hour and by the time we arrived there, only one guy working in the front desk. Check-in took forever to finish but fortunately, it was slightly faster this time. Within 20 minutes of our arrival, we entered our rooms already. Since I was staying by myself, they gave me a corner (small) room instead of giving me a standard size room. However, since it was already over 2:00 pm that morning, I decided not to bring up this issue during my stay. After all, this was a locally owned business hotel in China. Based on my past experience staying at local business hotels, many times the front desk staffs were either pretending they did not understand our request in having another room or they simply did not understand it. Therefore, I decided not to call the front desk to discuss as it might took another half an hour, or longer, for me to talk to them and sometimes, they didn't fulfill our requests. The room itself was much smaller compare to the ones I had stayed before, maybe less than half of their standard (typical) rooms. Although it wasn't a fair practice but I didn't make any noise about this as I was too tired doing so. Plus, I didn't really stay in my hotel room during the day so I guessed it was okay for me. They served breakfast every morning and although it was not the best but it did serve the purpose. The hotel itself is conveniently located, across from Gang Ding MRT station. In the first few floors, there is a small shopping malls with restaurants if someone feels lazy to go outside the hotel. If someone is looking for a better hotel, and don't mind paying 15~25% extra, in the neighborhood then President Hotel across from Majestic Hotel will be a good option. I stayed in President Hotel few times in the past but they kept increasing their hotel rates in the past five years but without any doubt, they positioned themselves as a better hotel compare to Majestic Hotel.

Clean place, good price... Staff is Ok as not many can speak english. Simple hotel but well located near the largest electronic products retail area in Guangzhou. many places to eat around. Try to get uper floors as there is some steet noise.

Hotel is centrally and conveniently located in a shopping belt and well connected with the Guangzhou MTR system. Ideal for travelling around the sprawling Guangzhou metropolis itself, be it visiting the local landmarks like Chen Clan Ancestral Hall or its museum and the shopping areas. Rooms are reasonably priced and rooms are clean with free Wifi. Breakfasts are ok too. Can be considered if one values time and convenience!

Just back from 5 nights at the Majestic Hotel. I chose this hotel because it was one metro stop away from South China Normal University where I was visiting a student. If you are looking for a hotel where there is a lot of western influence, this is not it! I did not see another western person during my time there. However if you want to experience a more authentic chinese hotel - this could work ok. My room was on floor 28. It was clean but a little tired. The bed was hard but sheets etc very clean. There was a kettle and fridge in the room. Complimentary water was left each morning. There was plenty of hot water and shower gel, shampoo etc. Bathrobes and slippers were also in the wardrobe. I had breakfast in the hotel. It was more suited to chinese taste but there was always toast, French toast and fruit so I did not go hungry. I found the reception staff friendly. Most had a smattering of English and one or two had quite good English. I was given a later check out and was able to leave my case at reception until ready to depart for the airport. The location of this hotel is very good. It is at Guanding metro stop. The hotel opens out into a shopping mall. I did not have any issues with noise. Wifi was free and worked well. There are lots of hotels in Guangzhou. THIs one did not cost a lot and if I were ever to return I would be happy to consider it again.

I stayed here for two nights in October as the hotel I normally stay at was full. Found it to be of good quality with clean and tidy room Great location to the shopping and restaurant areas. I highly recommend to stay in this area as plenty to see and do

The Majestic hotel is a perfectly nice four-star tourist hotel at the northeast end of Guangzhou's major shopping mall street. The street is lined with large shopping mall after large shopping mall. It may not be quaint, but it is very convenient. The relatively small shopping mall in which the Majestic is located is right on top of the Gangding subway / metro station. The station is on a spur of Line 3, which is also the line to the airport. Unfortunately the trip to the airport requires a change of trains, but the cross-platform transfer is very easy. The free in-room wireless is fast and reliable, subject to the usual problem that it is behind the national Chinese internet firewall. Overall, we had a perfectly acceptable experience at the Majestic. The biggest problem was the fast that although we had a (smell-free) non-smoking room our towels smelled so strongly of smoke that you could smell them as soon as you walked into the bathroom! Recommendation for management: outlaw smoking in the laundry. But if you're traveling on a budget in China and that is the biggest problem, you're doing pretty well. All things considered . . . the Majestic is good value for the price and a decent place to stay.

This is the best value hotel I have stayed at in Guanghzhou. It is older, with bathrooms which need renewing and beds that are too hard (I forgot to request a soft bed at check-in) but EVERYTHING else is far better than you could expect for the price. The surrounding area is alive at night. The locals flock here so you know it is a good place to go! It is only a 20 minutes from the Guangzhou Fair ($10 by taxi), close to the central city and not far from the airport. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the buffet breakfast is adequate (only $10 extra if your room rate does not include it). The WiFi is free all over the hotel and works fine. There were no hidden charges, absolutely nothing to pay over the price paid on the 'net. They took a $100 deposit on check-in and refunded the lot. I have stayed here four times now and I will be back.

if you are travelling for business purpose or on Holiday, Majestic Hotel is a good choice for easy acces (close to subway), well in the center of Tianhe Road and shops mall, with good quality of restaurant and quiet rooms. Restaurant on top of the building gives you a fantastic overview of Guangzhou ! Compared with Others, Majestic is Worth !
