Arriving in Guangzhou

The Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the second busiest airport in China, providing service to over 45 million passengers each year. It is located 17 miles north of downtown Guangzhou near the border of northern Renhe Town. Individuals traveling from the airport have several transportation options. This includes taking a 45-minute subway ride or a taxi, which provide rides to anywhere in the city for a flat rate. Car rentals are another option, but take note that getting a local driving permit can be very difficult. Depending on traffic, it takes between 30 and 40 minutes to reach downtown by car. The Airport Express bus line is a cheaper option but a slow one because of the number of stops it has to make.
