This is a very old hotel, it is a single storey building and the rooms although big have very little space. The furniture is also old. It has nice gardens. If you stay here you have to know that it gets very noisy in the night, because they hold receptions and parties at the restaurant and they play loud music and an entertainer uses a microphone to cheer and sing. I could barely sleep, then I decided to leave very early and my car took very long to get, since it is mandatory that you use the valet and the parking was also closed
It is an ok hotel, the room was clean, all the areas around the hotel are well taken care of. The room is a bit small but works well for a short stay. Water was hot, we always had towels, the cleaning ladies do a good job. The good: - Clean - Good service from all the personnel - Good location The bad: - Food is barely average, the chilaquiles are bad. Buffet is limited, and there are almost no vegetarian options both on buffet and the menu. - There is a lot of noise at nights, the wall and door to the hall are thin, they barely filter any sound I was woken up many times during the night. Still a good choice if you are planning on a short trip.
This is an average hotel. The building is nice but the rooms are old and the bathrooms are uncomfortable. There is no shampoo and conditioner available in the room and the soaps are not the best. There is free Wi-Fi available in the lobby but you have to pay if you want Wi-Fi in the room. I had to ask for a hair dryer since there is none in the room. I had to ask for hangers for my clothes and it took them hours to bring them, the hangers appeared at 11:30 pm when I was already asleep.
Real de Minas Pliforum Hotel has an excellent location in the city of Leon. It distinguished by good service and installations perfect for family and business trip. This hotel has valet parcking and pool.
Everything in this hotel is simply luxurious. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a team of friendly receptionists and porters in the motor lobby. Although the receptionist struggled with English and I with Spanish, she did everything she could to provide me with all the information I needed. The lobbies, reception, pool, restaurants and other common areas are superb ! The atmosphere is quite luxurious, whether it is the decoration, the service, … everything you ask for is provided almost immediately, everyone in the staff is so cheerful and nice. The (huge !) rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, the bathroom is perfectly equipped, the bedding is amazingly comfortable, great TV, air conditioning, nice view ! Although it may seem like a noisy place at first, because the pools and restaurant are located in the center of the square-shaped hotel, the place gets very quiet at sleeping hours and you hear nothing from the (not-so-) nearby boulevard. Only problem : slow to inexistant internet connection in the rooms ! The restaurant, where breakfast is served in the morning and all sorts of good foods in the evening, is just like the rest of the hotel : luxurious ! And the staff there is very thoughtful too. The prices are reasonable for a hotel. I went there for a business trip (a conference) and thus got to check the conference rooms. They are wide, clean and well equipped. The best asset of this hotel is the service. Beforehand, I exchanged a few emails with the public relation manager (Azucena). Not only did she provide me with everything I needed, like an off-peak hours transportation from and to the airport, but upon arrival, she personally greeted me with a plate of delicious sweets and a warm welcome. Anything I needed, from a taxi to a map to advice on AND transportation to dining places, I would get with a bonus smile. What a service ! Besides Azucena, everyone there is so helpful, it makes you feel like you are their most important customer.
Arrived at the hotel that was booked via a trade show management company. Initially, the hotel looked nice but when I got to my room it had a musty smell. On top of that the air conditioner was not working. The final straw came when I tried to sign on to the internet. I kept getting errors saying the access code was wrong. 3 trips to the front desk and a change of rooms only yielded internet with speed that was from the 1980's. If you are on a business trip you rely on the internet for communication. Short story, I'm looking for another hotel. I would never recommend this place to any business traveler. I can honestly say of the many reviews that I have done this is the first negative review that I have posted.
At this location there was a bit of constriction that was taking place during the stay .. Nice clean pool. Big rooms ... My room was not as deluxe as my associates which was next to the pool but still fine I was situated in the rear of the hotel ... Id stay again
Excellent customer service and food on the retaurant. Rooms?.we asked to cahnge rooms and the hotel offer for a chage a nice room on the other side recently renovated Then ask to see the rooms..I guess the hotel is in the process to renovate the whole site.
Stayed there for 4 nights with the family. I selected an standard double room. Beds were quite uncomfortable and furniture (a little table) and a closet look rather old. AC in my room was very noisy, probably due the fact that it's old too. Nevertheless the room was clean and well kept; pool area and gardens are very nice and look very good. Water in the pool may be somewhat cold, but the that did not stop the kids. They had a fun time actually. The food at the restaurant is very good specially during weekends, but be prepared to spend ~MX$1000 for a 4 persons buffet, which is really really expensive.
I came with my family for the weekend, and the experience in the hotel was excellent. The service from the entire staff was superb, specially the people at the restaurant. Which gets me to the next strong point of the hotel, which is breakfast...simply excellent!!!! I can't give it full marks because of two issues: 1.-Rooms are noisy. The one we got has an intercommunication door to the next room, and it felt like the neighbors were inside my room. You could hear every single word they were saying. 2.- The pool isn't climatized, so you can make comfortable use of it from noon on, when the sun heats the water a little.
