The hotel was in a good location, clean and the personnel were very helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was exellent. There is a beautiful museum across the street that you must visit, the gardens in the museum are breath taking. Overall I would recommend this hotel with no doubt.

It is an old Hacienda converted into a hotel, it gives you the feel of travelling back in time, Bathrooms are just horrible, this day and age you expect some thing more upto the mark Food was ok nothing out of the ordinary The spanish captain Barrera's actual house and gardens are well worth a visit Not the best value for your buck

They have no rooms And even they were very kind and sent me to another hotel it is unacceptable to have a paid reservation and no room availability once you arrive!

On family getaway ! Had a marvelous time at the hotel. The staff was great and a very quiet place to spend the night. The pool is kind of small for the size of the hotel but was very clean. The food was great in the on site restaurant

Staff was great, especially Maribel! Enjoyed the suite right next to the pool, quiet and peaceful to relax! This hotel is great to get away from it all. If you're into trips the staff will set up for you during your stay and if you wanna get away in the evening, they are glad to direct you to the best night life Guanajuato capital has to offer. Ask for Maribel she's great! Had a marvelous time during our vacation.

Good hotel for any one. Tourists, business people, family getaway and etc. A simple good hotel. I stay only 1 day so I can't say too much. But I can say that I have had no problems or issues...all was good. A very good deal for your money.

I choose it due it's location I had an Expo at The Convention Center which is 2 minutes away, the hotel was fine, but could be much better, carpet on my room was dirty, normally people at the area is very nice, in hear few wasn't, in general could be better. If you are going to the Convention Center is fine and close, otherwise you can choose many other nicer hotels.

We wanted to pay cash but we couldnt do the transaction because they didnt know ehat to do. The fare they have in their system was 1600 mexican pesos, the fare we payed was 2200 for two rooms. Beds and pillows are hard as stone.

If you like the authentic colonial Mexican decor you'll love this place. The breakfast buffet is great. Our room was overlooking the pool so it was noisy one night since it's open 9 - 9. No A/C but use the ceiling fan & open the balcony door and it's pretty good. It took a bit to cool down after gone for the day. Great shower. We didn't go in the pool since you couldn't see to the bottom, ugh! But others did. Rooms are very large, great TV size. The web site says it's .5 mile from town which is one of the reasons we stayed but it's really 2.2 miles from town. So it required a taxi back and forth. Only about $2-3.

was ok , for my family vacation , the only problem that this hotel have are the stairs and no elevator

The hotel is a very good choice when you're visiting Guanajuato. Not a walking distance to town center, but it offers free and reliable shuttle bus service to town. You have to take a taxi back, but taxis are abundant and very inexpensive (about $2.5). The hotel is beautifully situated, with great views, and old hacienda gardens around to enjoy. The rooms are large, with views, half of them with balconies. Very good quality. There is a nice pool area, but I didn't use it. The restaurant on-site is OK and convenient. Staff is very helpful, some speak good English. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the wireless access. It was great the first night, and then it went down. I inquired at the desk and was told that it was up to the telephone company to fix the problem and they would be working on it the following day. In the meantime, there was no internet access available, and the hotel didn't seem to own up to the problem. I do need to mention that there are lots of Internet cafes in Guanajuato center. I would strongly recommend the hotel for your stay in Guanajuato.

I really liked the place and the only drawback was how long of a walk it was to the historic downtown center. The staff was excellent and the restaurant was pricey in comparison to similar or finer quality restaurants in Quanajuato. I would stay here again.

This Hotel is historic, has a funky charm, and a staff which tries hard. Due to multiple stairs and levels on hill, and no elevators, not for physically challenged persons. Large rooms, and great city views. Despite initial problem with plumbing, hotel gladly resolved problem and moved us to even better room. Great value for the price. But Not a luxury hotel for those used to 4 stars.

Guanajuato was very nice and an interesting city to see. we loved it. it was a cold spell in mexico and our room had no heat. we made due with extra blankets and it was rather nice to snuggle to keep warm, but then the shower was only luke warm at best. I only had one full shower in 3 days and it was sooo cold. hey I'm from Seattle and I know cold, otherwise the hotel is fine. the help could learn some english, wake up calls etc... the room was decent for the money we paid, but the restuarant is over priced compaired to the excellent food in town just 10 mins away. all in all it was fine and we'd go back next time, hopefully when it's warmer weather.

The people are great, but the anemeties are not like the price want to explain.

The staff was friendly and informative. The hotel staff was quick to call in a taxi whenever needed. The food at the hotel was excellent. The hotel was nice looking. The rooms where roomy. I would have like to be closer to the the center of the city but I would stay at Hotel Mision again.

I went to Guanajuato in the weekend with my reservation. But when i arrived to the hotel they told me that they dont have any room available and the manager told me that they are not responsible for this reservation. I asked for help to get another room in another hotel but they didnt help us, we got a very bad weekend because all the hotels was full, we stay 35 miles from guanajuato i paid for this reservation and for the other hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history. But, becareful there are no elevators and staying on the fifth floor is hard work. There is no a/c ,but the climate is much cooler than Texas. Taxis are inexpensive and easily avalable. The tours the hotel offers are worth the time. The balconies are in every other room and are woth asking for.
