We travelled with another couple, who booked this hotel via an online service, but the hotel was a big disappointment for us: 1. The hotel booking service policy was to pay on arrival (booked by the other couple). However, when we arrived, the total amount for both rooms was taken from the other couple's credit card (without authorization). This left a nice accounting mess for me to pay the other couple. 2. The receptionist spoke zero English. Really, a "four-star" hotel, where nobody at the font desk speaks English, although all the street "poncho" salespeople speak English. 3. The hotel booking site gave the impression that rooms had balconies with nice views of the city below. No such thing. Our room was on the first floor, with no balcony and only one window facing the inside corridor. 4. Room was hot and stuffy. No air-conditioner, only a fan. 5. When we arrived the first night, NO HOT WATER 6. The next morning, hotel water after we let the water run 10 minutes. 7. Very small TV 8. No refrigerador 9. Continental breakfast with AWFUL coffee. Seems like it was instant coffee, watered-down. Practically undrinkable. 10. NO INTERNET! We were on the ground floor, and an internet connection was available only sporadically. The lobby room was crowded with guests using the lobby internet. In fairness, the hotel did offer some advantages: 1. Excellent location -- smack in the center of the city. 2. Quiet. Other hotels in the area were next to bars with mariachi bands playing late into the night. 3. King-sized beds. If one can get a guaranteed room in the upper floors, conditions are apparently better (internet)

We stayed here, great hotel, good customer service, the staff very helpful, walking distance to downtown! And to many restaurants and bars, highly recommended. Even close to a tour train and church just across the street

The only problem of the hotel is the parking. It is like 5 to 10 minutes in taxy to the hotel. No, you cannot go from the parking to the hotel on foot. After we pass that and forget it, our stay was great. Kind service, good food, and a great spot close to everything. Oh, another thing. Most rooms have windows to the inside patio, and a a few rooms does not even have windows, different to what is shown in photos. We asked the lobby and they changed our room at no cost to have at least a window to the inside. My wife did not liked the room without windows.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was disappointed in many ways. My room was very dark (there were few lightnfixfure) and did not look bright like I did online, there was not even a light in the shower (had to shower in the dark frequently). I ofren found myself using my cell phone flashlight in order to find things. The wifi also only worked about 50% of the time and even then it was slow. The hotel’s staff, Cristina, Lucy, Alfredo and Yaner-were nice, with the exception of Pedro, the late night receptionist who was extremely rude amd disrespectful and unprofessional. He was extremely rude to me and when i complained the next day the staff was very apologetic and said they have had bad experiences with him too. The hotel is located perfectly and you can walk to a lot of the important attractions. The hotel has a lot of potential but needs a lot of fixing- rooms, bathrooms (the toilet barely flushed) wifi etc. There is also no restaurant or bar in the hotel so if you want a glass of wine or a coke you gave to go somewhere else. There are also no refrigerators in the rooms. Continental breakfast was included In my room rate and I had the option of paying for eggs if I wanted to. A special shout out to Alfredo, who did whatever he could to help me during my stay.

This hotel, as are many in Guanajuato, is an old building, but it has great charm, but the best thing about this hotel is that it has very special people that take care of you! Alfredo Falcon and Lucy will always go out of their way for your pleasure and enjoyment. There is nothing Alfredo will not do for guests, nothing! The whole staff is Excellent and deserves notice! Our stay there was marvelous! Just one thing, no elevator means three floors with stairs to reach the rooms! We highly recommend this hotel

This antique hotel is located just opposite of the cathedral and Plaza de la Paz. We walked to Jardín de la Unión area (2 minutes) for dinner every night. We loved the interior of the building, preserved the old structure with antique furniture and comfortable beds. The staff were helpful but didn't speak English. Wifi was weak in room. We took the airport tax from Leon/Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) to hotel for 475 P.

Location, location. Our room was at the front and faced the cathedral. We were able to walk everywhere without difficulty. The staff were friendly and accommodating, they arranged transportation from the airport (and they were waiting with a smile, even though our flight was late). Breakfast was included. We enjoyed our visit to Guanajuato City very much.

There is no hot water at night and personnel of the hotel do not care about it. If you need to take a shower at night, forget about it, or try to do so with very cold water. The hotel has the greatest location, but it is a little noisy. Ask for a room with a view in advance; otherwise you will get a room with no view at all.

My family and I stayed for two days. The staff was friendly and our rooms were clean. My kids and sister in law stayed in the junior suite. Our room was facing the basilica and had a great view from the balcony. My husband and I stayed in the regular room. We had no issues whatsoever. The morning continental breakfast was attended by one of the hotel's staff. We would definitely stay there again if we ever visit Guanajuato in the future.

My family and I stayed at this hotel. We had a great time here. The hotel is in a nice location within walking distance of everywhere. Right next to the Basilica of Guanajuato. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so you have to carry your bags if your room is not on the ground floor, but you will find help from the staff of the hotel. The staff is friendly and always willing to help, they are one of the best points of this hotel. If you want to go somewhere, just ask the staff and they will be glad to help you. The hotel offers a light breakfast, which is ok. The terrace has a nice view. The maintenance in general is good, and you find everything that you need in the room. Rooms are big enough. From your room sometimes you can hear the noise of the next room. This hotel is perfect compared to many other hotels in Guanajuato that have bad reviews. Definitely this place is a good choice.
