Excellent place , very good location and very professional bi-lingual staff . We have stayed there before but this visit was very good .the food in the restaurant and the bartender Charlie makes fantastic cocktails!!!
We always stay at the Quinta Don José when we go to Tlaquepaque and if we can't get a room, we just don't go. We have been staying there for more than ten years as we built and then have enjoyed our house on the coast, about four hours away. Tlaquepaque is a very dense and active little city and when we go through the door into QDJ we enter an oasis of peace, beauty and friendliness. The rooms are comfortable and of varying size and character. We like best the ones that open on the pool and garden. The garden is extensive, with interesting, mature trees and opens to often dramatic evening skies. The pool is a good big one. The bar and breakfast restaurant open on the garden. In the garden, you can forget that you are in a city. With reference to the city, QDJ is in the heart of Tlapaque, with its beautiful plaza, shops, museums and restaurants a few blocks away. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most speak English. Last visit the gardeners helped me collect some rare plants to grow at our home and they promptly were able to get a forgotten and much-beloved item of clothing back to my wife. Carlos, the bartender, makes the bar a particular pleasure.
I could't have asked for a better hotel to stay in. Our room was spacious and clean. The surroundings were lovely, and the staff is unbelieveably friendly. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to firend
Charming boutique hotel, clean and very pretty courtyard. Excellent location near the town square. Overall staff was so friendly, fun and helpful. Christian, a waiter in the restaurant was excellent. Nice way to spend some time in Tlaquepaque.
Great room with fantastic hosts. The best! Nice breakfast, beautiful grounds, airport pickup - good restaurant right in the hotel. We had a poolside room, they are the best for sure. Friendly staff and lovely place, thank you.
I found this place to be an amazing little oasis! The service was gray, the place was charming and clean, close to many shops and restaurants, and overall a great place. This is a place I will definitely come back to.
The room was great, great service and bed soooo comfortable, but wifi was broken we were there two days and they didn't have it fixed, but then again in mexico, lol, noisy right on busy street buses rumbling by at 5 am and all day and the food was not that great and expensive. pasta was not that good, and they pour wine from big jug into wine bottles not sure what that is all about, lol
Couldn't get a room. We had to stay else where near by so decided to tour the hotel. Everyone was so nice. They showed us the grounds and we will definitely book early for the next trip. Location is so close to the main square in Tlaquepaque. We came back for a wonderful dinner and bought a necklace made locally. Cristy was so helpful. We were having multiple credit card problems but she wouldn't give up. This the type of place that gives Mexico its warm friendly reputation.
We discovered this amazing place 6 years ago, and make it our "Go-To" place for at least 3or 4 days at the beginning of an inland trip or the end of a trip. The cleanliness, and surroundings are tranquil and serene and so relaxing. We cannot say enough good things about the wonderful and thoughtful staff, they are a credit to our whole experience. It is so reassuring to see the same staff year after year and their wonderful smiles always so welcoming. We always feel safe and pampered. Thank you Estella and Arturo for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay
I've already booked for next year as my husband and I love Quinta Don Jose and can't imagine finding a better spot in Tlaquepaque! The location, staff and accommodations are all fantastic as is the restaurant. Over the nine years we have returned the to "The Quinta" we've gotten to know the entire staff and many of the same returning guests. If you are going to Tlaquepaque this hotel is near everything, has beautiful rooms and the nicest staff you could ever hope for!
