The room that I reserve had many shower flaws. First jacuzzi looked dirty/dingy, showerheads were broken that made a mess in the bathroom. I had to ask reception to change my room which took a lot of our vacation time and extra trouble. The room exchange was cheaper and they didn't credit my credit card but offered to give me shampoo & Conditioner to compensate the difference in price. The less expensive room was great without any issues.

The place is amazingly beautiful , staff friendly but i didn't like i have to pay for the toiletries ( shampoo, conditioner and body lotion ) , they charged me a fee for taking the toiletries that have supposed to be free for customer's .

The concept was great. Unfortunately the property is poorly managed. When we booked the resort through Orbitz, the description said Breakfast included. We had breakfast the first day and we're told that because we did not book direct the breakfast was not included. So we were forced to pay for breakfast. The server was gorrible and had an attitide. The lobby personnel was unfriendly. The room had old sheets with a blood stain on it. My wife found hair on the sheets. The next day after our room was "cleaned" i found the same blood stIn on the sheets. So basically they did not change the sheets and only made the bed. The room was falling apart and the caulk in the bathroom was already cracked. The shower was weak and the heat did not last. We were promised a free tequila tour there at the property, we arrived 10 minutes late and althought they had all the tequila samples out they did not let us join in and were very rude about it. Overall the stay was not pleasant and poorly managed.

It’s just a perfect, the Barricas are unique, Their Restaurant and Tequila tour Are amazing.

They charged me twice and now I have to deal with their mistake and waste my time

I can’t believe the hotel Charged for a towel that my sister used to take off make up. It’s ridiculous that an hotel care more for a 45 pesos towel than a client that can potential bring more business in the future. I Spoke to the manager over the phone he did t even care or apologize I am excepting Orbitz to to do something and at least give me a discount for this inconvenience

Your stay comes with a tour and tasting. Our tour guide Pepe was amazing!! It was the middle of the week so the tour was basically a private tour for my boyfriend and I, it was great! Pepe had us laughing the whole time. Also, you get a complimentary clay barrel to store tequila in (tequila not included) once you check out. I definitely recommend staying here on your first visit to Tequila!

Truly unique! We enjoyed our stay, and the barrel-themed rooms were both comfortable and charming. The WiFi service was non-existent in our room; I could connect at the lobby/registration-desk, but by the time I walked half way back to our "barrel", I had lost connection. That said - there was a strong LTE wireless signal that gave good speeds. Aspects of the check-in were confusing - in part I'm sure to language difference, but the concierge and a few other staff seemed to speak English well enough. We first told that the free buss downtown had left so we would have to take Uber or Taxi - but as we were waiting for our Uber driver the van was parked there and we were asked why we hadn't requested free transportation in the van. Turns out it leaves on some schedule that we never completely understood. We were given a number to call to get transportation (via the van) back from town center, but when we called there was no answer - it was the private number of the concierge and she had gone home. So we were left to wander around looking for a taxi (there were no Uber available) and fortunately saw the hotel van coming down the street and were able to flag it down. Also, we signed up for and planned around a 5:00 PM tequila tasting that was canceled, which was a minor annoyance - we ended up doing a tasting downtown and did not do a tasting at the Matices. The restaurant was very nice - and the grounds and facilities are just lovely - we enjoyed walking around.

I loved everything about this place. It’s Rustic and beautiful. It’s relaxing and the staff makes your experience there perfect. They are super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back next year!
