The property is completely updated, everything is new and modern. Very clean and the staff was nice. We were not able to try the weekend buffet but we did sit on the restaurant to try some wings and beer and we had a good time. No pool for kids so it is more of an executive hotel. Convenient to all of Guadalajara. We will come back.

I have been staying over 10 times at this property and the inconsistency is annoying. This time : checkout took 30 minutes because only one employee at checkout at noon time. One day, breakfast is a smorgasbord buffet, the next day only a la carte, we asked for more pillows twice over 2 days, they never came. Etc Otherwise the rooms are nice,New and clean. One caveat : if you take a large room (xx1 on each floor, they are the noisiest as they overlook the highway Would I return? Probably yes. Enthusiastically? No..
Probably my 7 it 8 th stay there. As before, it is a hit or miss. Some employees are terrific and helpful, some are just lost. Some days the housekeeping is terrific, sometimes not. But more than anything, sometimes the breakfast is good/ok, sometimes it is just plain disappointing when the management decide to do a mini buffet (same price) instead of a regular buffet (guessing based on occupancy?) Consistency matters! It makes for repeat guest..
A very good property that is made less attractive because of a drastic reduction on the breakfast offering. This was my third stay at the Baruk. First time, I was impressed by the facility and the quality of the breakfast buffet. Second time, no buffet at all and I was told it was because of low occupancy. This last time, an extremely reduced version of a buffet was offered (but at full price). As well, management doesn't appear quite interested in securing business. I sent 2 emails asking for a corporate rate (our company has one or 2 people virtually every week in GDL) and I never got a reply. This is a shame as the location is quite good (lots of decent restaurants nearby) and the rooms are pleasant.
