Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel. Let's start with the restaurant. The food was nothing short of horrible. After taking just one bite, I couldn't stomach it and had to send it back. Despite my dissatisfaction, I was still charged for the entire meal. It's incredibly disheartening to receive such poor quality food and not even receive a simple apology. The waitress and the manager were rude and displayed a complete lack of professionalism. Moving on to the hotel, the room was exceptionally small. It was easily the worst night of our entire 2 weeks vacation in Europe. The cramped space made it extremely uncomfortable, and it felt far from the relaxing experience we were hoping for. Overall, stay away form it!! The combination of awful food, unapologetic staff, and cramped hotel rooms left a lasting negative impression. There are far better options available that can provide a more enjoyable and satisfying experience.
We stayed in a room with a balcony, mountain (eiger) view. The view from the balcony was great.

Great, friendly, and fast front desk service. Solo traveler staying in a single bedroom and was very happy with the room, wifi, comfy bed, and balcony as the highlights. Only thing that could have been better is the shower water pressure, otherwise the place is a great deal.
Loved this hotel! It is located steps from the train station and 15 min walk to Grindelwald-First. I was able to leave my bag since I arrived early and check-in was at 2p. My room was in the Residences building behind the main hotel. It was very nice! The views were amazing from the balconey/windows! The terrace in front of the hotel is the best. The views of the Alps are in front of you, while having a glass of wine/beer, and snacks. Hotel staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed and made sure to say goodbye on checkout. I will stay here again!
Not as impressed as my first visit. We loved our first stay so much so that we stayed a second time when we returned to Grindelwald. The rooms were just as great, as was the view and location. What changed this time was the service. It just wasn’t there. We attempted to add the half-pension as we did last time (request at checkin which was at 15:00) but this time they denied the request. Their reason was that they “didn’t have enough left to fulfill our request”. I find that logic odd considering they had no idea what we would even order. Being that it was a Friday night, I would have been more satisfied with a more logical answer. That one is just not acceptable to anyone, let alone a returning guest. Additionally, they attempted to add the parking change “after” the stray without mentioning it at all during check in. I have no problem with paying for parking, but the price and conditions should be made clear at checkin. We are hoping that the service was due to untrained our lesser quality off season staffing and will give the hotel another chance on our next trip to Grindelwald. We do love the rooms and location and hope that the service will reach back to the level it was in August 2018.
Fantastic location, great staff, amazing views from balcony. Breakfast options quite limited.
Excellent location. Very close to train station. Convenient and clean. Recommend.

Dear XiaoyingThank you for being our guests and for taking the time to share your impressions here in such detail. We can still remember your stay well.It is a pity that, despite our many pictures on the Internet, you expected a completely different hotel with a much higher standard than we actually are.The Central Hotel Wolter is a 3* hotel, located directly on the lively village street - but in the immediate vicinity of the train station and the bus routes to the gondola stations in Grindelwald. We hope that you still had a great time in our mountain village of Grindelwald and wish you and your loved ones all the best. With best wishes
