The property was clean, well maintained and has an awe inspiring view of the Eiger north face. The information regarding the restaurant in the elevator is incorrect and the TV only works with Android phones and had no local channels.

The building is old, but is extremely well kept and clean. The view from our room was AMAZING! The staff was wonderful, and Margarit was extremely accommodating. It was a short walk to downtown as well as to the train station to move around the Junfrau region easily. Dining at the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise with very good food and wine after hiking all day. Note though that there is a short but significant uphill walk from the train station or down town to the hotel.

Magnifique séjour

J’ai séjourné 4 nuits dans une chambre supérieure avec un balcon et avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. J’ai tout aimé de cet hôtel. Il est légèrement en retrait de la rue principale donc c’est tranquille et paisible. Il est à proximité de la gare mais la pente est plutôt raide pour monter à l’hôtel. L’hôtel n’est pas moderne mais à tout le charme rustique de la Suisse. C’est propre et bien entretenu. Le lit est confortable, la chambre supérieure est spacieuse en plus du petit coin salon mais le meilleur est le balcon et la vue! Je voulais relaxer et profiter des couchers de soleil sur mon balcon à chaque jour. J’y suis allé en août, j’ai survécu sans air climatisé le soir en ouvrant les fenêtres. C’est plus frais en montagne et ça se rafraîchit quand même rapidement le soir. Le petit déjeuner est excellent avec des produits de qualité de la région . Merci au personnel attentionné et professionnel! Il y a un mini frigo et une cafetière ce qui est très apprécié! C’est vraiment un coup de coeur pour moi et je vais revenir assurément.

We had a great stay at Alpenhof in Grindelwald. The hotel is uphill from the main street which makes it quieter and improves the views. The staff was welcoming & friendly. We loved the daily breakfast. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a nice balcony with a great view.

좋은 호텔입니다.

위치가 헬이긴 해요... 예전에 그린델발트 왔을 때는 융프라우 롯지 크리스탈에 묵었었는데 거기 뷰랑 위치가 더 좋았던 것 같아서 다음에 또 오게 된다면 그 근처로 갈 것 같습니다. 203호 배정받았는데 코너방이어서 ㄱ자 발코니를 쓸 수 있었고 방이 너무 넓고 인테리어도 예뻤습니다. 이 호텔에서 본 산 북벽 뷰도 예쁘긴 했지만 서두에 적은 것처럼 융프라우 롯지 크리스탈에서 산 벽 일부와 드문드문 집 있는 마을을 함께 봤던 것이 더 예뻤던 것 같아요. 조식은 좋은데, 스크램블 에그는 타이밍을 잘못 맞추면 먹을 수 없고(콩알만큼 남아있어서 제가 다 뜨고나니 바닥났는데 냄비를 가져가시곤 30분 넘게 다시 가져오지 않으셔서 더 먹지 못함..) 10시까지 제공이라고 하는데 9시에 갔더니 과일샐러드 등은 이미 다 떨어졌고 보충 안해주시더라구요. 가능한 일찍 가시는 걸 추천해요.

The property was clean and the staff friendly. It truly is an uphill hike to the property from town. Grindelwald is very touristy and commercialized. We took a day trip to Wengen which I highly recommend and would stay in that village next time.

Excellent view of the Eiger mountain! It could be steep to get to the hotel but it’s worth the effort if you want to see a breathtaking view of the Eiger, with the option of a room with the view.
