I spent a great deal of time reading the reviews for the hotels in Greenville, Alabama. It’s a small town with several national chains at the I-65 exit. Now that I am here I can tell you that they are all grouped in a clump and they all look very nice. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express. It is the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. Large, clean rooms, beautiful pool and the breakfast area is large and very inviting. And the bed was awesome!
The welcome at the front desk was friendly and service was efficient. Enjoyed the handwritten recap of priority club history handed out also. The hotel was very convenient to get to from the highway. Breakfast area was well stocked and maintained. Cleaning team was working hard with floors spotless in the lobby. Great job.
This is my favourite stopover on my way south and is very reasonably priced for its value. Our room was large, the beds were comfy and the shower was easy to use. On top of that, the breakfast area was classy with lots of fresh food and great variety. The front desk was accommodating and there is a decent sized exercise room. The location is just off the highway, near restaurants and a Walmart. And good value in the mid-range.
I was traveling from North Carolina to Texas and the snow was coming down hard and decided to stop there for the night. Ended up staying two nights and the staff was great from check in to checkout. The hotel was very comfortable and enjoyed my stay.
Checking in was easy and quick. No problems with room which was actually a suite. Wifi and everything in the room worked well. A little noise but nothing to cause a problem. Breakfast next morning was good, hot and had a variety of items for everyone. It was kept clean and well stocked. Hotel is recommended for short term stays for singles, couples and families. Reasonably priced.
Nice motel. Pretty good breakfast. Lots of trucks in the parking lot. Lots of noise in the middle of the night from the parking lot, and from doors slamming in the hallway. Must be a gap under the guest room door. Could hear voices and slamming doors at 3am.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great! Negatives - TV only got one channel (to late of check in to worry about it), halls had a musty smell, sounds in the hall heard in the rooms.
A friend and I were traveling to Biloxi when we stayed at the HIE. Little did we know when we made the reservations that Irma was about to head to Atlanta and Birmingham our respective homes. I can't say enough about this hotel. We had the biggest surprise, the hotel had made dinner for all the guests. Fried chicken, potatoes, mac and cheese, corn, green beans, field beans, black eyed peas, even corn dogs and pizza for the kids. They went above and beyond to make us all welcome. I will stay here again and again when my travel plans take me that way.
Stopped here on overnight stay. Hotel was clean, felt secure and had places close by to eat. Check out was easy was able to do so through email confirmation. Breakfast was adequate. Front desk seem nice although a little spacey during check in, some people just lack the better social skills. Would stay here again. Did feel safe staying here. Would suggest mgmt pay a little more to get more qualified personnel working the desk, it seemed one out of three was on there thinking game.
We were on our way to Florida and needed a place to stay over night, We usually choose Holiday Inn Express because we think we know what to expect. The room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. The pool was closed, but we weren't going to use it anyway. The walls were a little "thin". We could hear a lot a doors opening and closing, and to a certain extent the people in the rooms next door. The lounge/dining area was a little small, and we had to take our breakfast back to the room. I noticed some of the guests took theirs to the conference room next door.
