Nice motel. Pretty good breakfast. Lots of trucks in the parking lot. Lots of noise in the middle of the night from the parking lot, and from doors slamming in the hallway. Must be a gap under the guest room door. Could hear voices and slamming doors at 3am.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great! Negatives - TV only got one channel (to late of check in to worry about it), halls had a musty smell, sounds in the hall heard in the rooms.
A friend and I were traveling to Biloxi when we stayed at the HIE. Little did we know when we made the reservations that Irma was about to head to Atlanta and Birmingham our respective homes. I can't say enough about this hotel. We had the biggest surprise, the hotel had made dinner for all the guests. Fried chicken, potatoes, mac and cheese, corn, green beans, field beans, black eyed peas, even corn dogs and pizza for the kids. They went above and beyond to make us all welcome. I will stay here again and again when my travel plans take me that way.
Stopped here on overnight stay. Hotel was clean, felt secure and had places close by to eat. Check out was easy was able to do so through email confirmation. Breakfast was adequate. Front desk seem nice although a little spacey during check in, some people just lack the better social skills. Would stay here again. Did feel safe staying here. Would suggest mgmt pay a little more to get more qualified personnel working the desk, it seemed one out of three was on there thinking game.
We were on our way to Florida and needed a place to stay over night, We usually choose Holiday Inn Express because we think we know what to expect. The room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. The pool was closed, but we weren't going to use it anyway. The walls were a little "thin". We could hear a lot a doors opening and closing, and to a certain extent the people in the rooms next door. The lounge/dining area was a little small, and we had to take our breakfast back to the room. I noticed some of the guests took theirs to the conference room next door.
If you'd like to pay $180 for a $90 room, this is your place. We are new loyalty card members. We had a recent good experience at an HIE and thought we'd try this out. Traveling to Baton Rouge to visit family - stopped late due to wife not feeling well. This place gigged us for $180. Rates are typically $90-110 at the hotel. I'm perfectly willing to pay the hotel's top market rate - but hotel took advantage of a situation. No need for me to be a loyalty card member. Further - check in arduous - took way too long. breakfast was so-so. Pancake machine is interesting - but the discs it produces are more suited for fetching, not eating. We travel a lot with and for our kids. Sorry we strayed from our reliable Hampton Inn. Never again.
My family & I stopped here for an overnight stay on our way to the beach. We had previously stopped in Pelham, AL and planned on staying 2 nights at a hotel there but checked out early for some other (cleanliness) reasons. Anyway... We found this Holiday Inn here on TripAdvisor and checked it out. It seemed fairly new from the looks of the exterior so my husband went it to check on a room. When we stopped it was still a hour before the posted check in time but the girl at the front desk went ahead and checked us into a room. She was very kind & personable! (I really wish I could remember her name for a shout out... I think it was April but can't be certain!) When we got to our room we were excited to see (and SMELL) how clean our room was!!! It was on the back side of the hotel so it was away from any road noise from the interstate. The beds were super comfy and again, CLEAN!!! The housekeeping crews were still hard at work cleaning each room and boy did they do a good job!! (Shoutout to those sweet ladies!!) Our room was spotless! My husband and kids immediately wanted to go jump in the pool and take advantage of our break. The pool, although kind of small, was extremely clean and they enjoyed splashing around for a good hour or so. The next morning, we enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast they offered and it was great as well. The young lady attending the breakfast area was so, so sweet and worked hard to keep the dining area nice and well stocked with fresh breakfast items. We will definitely be saving this hotel on our list of stops for beach road trips! Thank you HIE of Greeneville! You guys are awesome! ❤️
Did not have a reservation at this hotel when arriving on a motorcycle. The hotel is new and easy access to the highway. The backside of the hotel is quieter. The breakfast is always great at Holiday Inn Express. The desk clerk had some problems with the printer upon checking in but was able to get us processed and get our signatures later in the evening.
Very nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant that the girls recommended hit the spot. I need to print a couple pages of information for the rest of our trip and they offered and even printed them for me. As tired as we were it was very welcomed. They have a couple of fellows in the building working to update the internet which the did with out an interruption.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions for golf course and restaurants.Breakfast buffet was very good Altogether a safe and reasonable place to stay with small golf group
