Easter Sunday packed a wee bag and went for a day away with the long haired one.. so we booked into the kelvin grove hotel.. £45 for night no breakfast.. Well we'll give it ago and was pleasantly surprised Rooms on the wee side but clean tidy, bed comfortable good pillows, toilet clean and tidy shower perfectly fine good body wash and plenty towels .staff excellent . So if you need a wee cheap night go here it's ding dong would recommend highly.. One issue I had though was waking up with a rather parched mouth due to a wee bit over indulging in booze, that there was no we're to get ice and water ,I've never been keen on drinking tap water out of toilet.. just a wee moan.. But yeh great value..

Couldn't wish for a better location of going to a concert at the Hydro. Clean room, friendly and efficient service. Staff couldn't do anymore for you which is always nice to hear. I would certainly recommend staying.

Nice place, good location, friendly staff, good clean room, good sleeping, close to SEC, and restaurants. I would definitely come back to this place to stay in a future trip to Glasgow and recommend it.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean .Very convenient for sightseeing Museums which are within a 20minute walking distance, and on a bus route into city centre , and a very good area for eating out with a range of different restaurants serving good food .

Great stay! Such a good location for the West End of Glasgow, right beside Kelvingrove Museum & Park and Glasgow university. The hotel is a minutes walk from Argyle st which has loads of lovely bars and restaurants. The hotel staff we've very friendly, hotel is nice, really good for the price. Will stay again when in back 😊

The location was the first defining choice for us. Close to great restaurants, university and museum. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. Notably, there was plenty of tea/coffee and milk provided!

excellent location for Hydro, Finnieston and SECC. Value for money and would recommend for a short 1 or 2 night stay. Very Good restaurants near by and close to Kelvingrove, university and the west end.

Although I have stayed at ambassador hotel and apartments this was my first here. Everything was brilliant. I can't recommend it highly enough. I shall certainly be back . Brilliant breakfast and a free upgrade .

Stayed here for two nights while visitng Glasgow and the room was nice - clean, well decorated, warm, comfy bed. The neighbours were a bit noisy though (why do people shout down hotel corridors at midnight??) but that wasn't the hotel's fault.

We liked the location of the Hotel but we were wakened by noisy people in the next room in the early hours of the morning. We also struggled to get somewhere to eat on Saturday night as most places we tried were fully booked.
