The location is very convenient and safe. The staff was really helpful and responsive during my stay. However, it is an older building, which has not been refurbished in quite some time, and there's no elevator. All in all, I think it's excellent value for the money.

Very friendly and helpful, best breakfast of the many hotels in Scotland I've stayed in on this trip. Clean spacious rooms. Convenient to many places we wanted to visit. Only issue was very loud gangs of seagulls waking us up at dawn, but I imagine the hotel can't do much about that! :-)

Good sized room and everything was at was stated on the website. The price/value was incredible and the staff were all extremely helpful.

The advertisement did not say, no parking available. I drove around for 15 minutes until I got a parking space and had to oay an additional £6 per day. The awesome thing about this hotel is location. It close to museums, restaurants, bars and lots of historic attractions. I would go back, now I am better prepared, re parking

Very charming hotel just outside of Glasgow! Staff was very friendly and courteous and the room was clean and pleasant. Enjoyed our stay!

4 huge flights of stairs with a suitcase isn't fun and I'm in pretty good shape. I understand listed buildings can't get them installed but maybe external elevator shaft? Or they offer to bring bags up? I was thinking "if my parents stayed here they would struggle taking bags to the 4th floor."

Chose this hotel because of 24 check-in staff and being relatively close to Charing Cross train station. Check in was efficient and staff made my cab arrangements immediately for next morning. No elevator (lift), which can be difficult with arthritic knees. Skipped breakfast, so cannot comment on food. Excellent restaurants (inexpensive to expensive) on same block and within two blocks. Very simple room with three single beds and no desk area, but companion and I were just staying for night, so this worked just fine.
