Nothing much to say except this hotel represents excellent value for money. Good caring service all round. Excellent breakfast. Very efficiently run and we felt looked after and cared for. Some furniture showing signes of wear and tear but in time thats to be expected. Nothing nasty about anything. Only there for one night as we saw A Murray at Hydro. We will have no hesitation in re-booking.
Very pleasant stay at the Ambassador Hotel. The room was clean and warm and the shower/bathroom clean and well equiped. a continental breakfast was available for an early start. There is available parking outside the hotel and the hotel is situated in quiet area of Glasgow. Cooking facilities were available for an evening snack or larger meal if required, along with tea and coffee.
The staff are lovely people, especially Angela and the manager (a young guy whose name I unfortunately forgot) who did everything to make our stay great. They are true ambassadors of the well known Scottish hospitality. The hotel is very nice and clean, situated in a quiet street near the Glasgow Botanic Gardens and only minutes away from the University of Glasgow, which is surrounded by tens of nice pubs and restaurants. If I am coming back to Glasgow I will not think twice before I book the same hotel again. it is a great value for the price.
I d like stay there. Very clean and clea and comfortable. The WiFi in my room was a little bit slowly but not to bad. The staff very gentle and always ready for help and information. If should going in Glasgow again I'm sure to back.
Excellent location if you're out of town and you want to attend a concert at Oran Mor, which is 5 minutes walk distance. The staff was very friendly. Great value for money, except the breakfast. I could've had a more generous breakfast in the city for that £9.
I like this cosy hotel, I feel good there. The staff is very friendly, there's a good service and the location next to the Botanic Garden is perfect! It's located within walking distance of the shops and the metro.
Good and quiet location, easy to park in the street. Staff very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast. Large bed and clean room. All was very nice and in order. Near botanic gardens, restaurants from West end and bus station.
This was our worst accommodation experience in a long time. Being kindly and not usually an over-critical reviewer I will grade it as "poor" rather than "terrible" for Tripadvisor. We had booked - and paid for - our multi-night stay long in advance. We were put in a small room at the top of the Hotel, where a mattress with apparently broken springs was spread over two beds pushed together. Given the damaged state of the mattress, a good night's sleep was not possible. The curtain was broken off its rail. In the bathroom there were minimal supplies and when the toilet paper ran out it was not replaced. More seriously the hot water pipe to the basin produced no water - not just cold water but no water at all - no matter how long you waited. Servicing of the room was variable, one day looking as if it had been interrupted. There was little opportunity to escape from the room as the hotel had no lounge, just a dining room which seemed to have the television or music on all of the day, perhaps for the benefit of the staff.A bad experience.
Staying here was really nice and amazing value for money. Other places we looked at booking for the same price had quite bad reviews but this had good and they were definitely right. It was perfect. The only bad points were, as it was quite a small hotel you could hear other people going in and out of there rooms, the heating didn't stay on for long when you switched it on and the shower pressure was quite low. These are minimal things, the room wasn't too cold despite the heating, we just would of preferred it a bit warmer. Other than that it was a lovely, modern and comfortable room and the staff were lovely!
Very happy to return to the same apartment in the Embassy Apartments. Large very comfortable bed. Good cooking facilites . And very near public transport and shops. Happy efficient staff. Basic washing up equipment provided. As are tea bags and instant coffee.
