Great Hotel in the city centre , close to the old town, undeground parking 50 m from the Hotel (cheaper if to pay directly at the reception ). clean rooms, good soundproofing, fantastic buffet breakfast! non-standard room interior ))) very nice) highly recommend for city trips!
My partner and I were recently in Graz and a friend recomeneded Hotel Weitzer. Boy was I glad I took her up on her recomendation! The room was amazing-we booked the Weitzer Rubin-the name just sounded right :). It is an airy room with lots of light and a really nice bathroom. It is classy and modern at the same time. The receptionist was friendly and had answers to all of our questions. We ate at their restaurant (The Steier)-everything tasted really good, the waiters are all smiles and the atmosphere is relaxing and fun. the restaurant again combines tradition with a modern twist. If you are a wine lover you can also buy it there-they sell a large variety of wines from the Steyer region. You can also buy Austrian whiskey (!) or products made out of pumpkin seed oil (the taste is amazing ) and pumpkin seeds, and if you buy any of these products as a gift, the Staff wraps it up really nicely in a paper bag and they put a stamp message of your choice on it. All in all we really enjoyed our stay there. It was nice to be in the centre of the city so we could explore it by foot while our car was safely parked in their garage. We will cerntainly visit it again!
Located by the river Mur and just a few minutes walk from the city centre it just have to success. The rooms was original and tasty, whit a nice touch of good style. Service as you can expect from a hotel whit this style.
We had a relaxing stay at the Hotel Weitzer this past July over the 4th. The hotel itself is lovely with a great location next to the river where you can run on a path as far as Slovenia! It is also close by to the city park where if you didn't know any better you would think the per capita bike ownership is close to 90 percent. I believe that has a lot to do with the 40,000 thousand university students living in Graz and definitely it's a bike centric city! The restaurant that we ate at was located beside the hotel called Der Steirer. It was super convenient with great crispy chicken and fish dishes. Excellent ales and craft brews made it a great evening spot for our three person family. Our room was over the top comfortable with a great king sized bed and huge bathroom with grea water pressure. We also could walk out to a small patio to read the paper and we had a fridge stocked with beverages and snacks. Unfortunately the gym was not available due to a project to overhaul it but for now at least the sauna worked. We parked our auto in the garage overnight for a reasonable charge and breakfast the next day was varied with all the fresh ingredients available. To bad we had to rush off for a tour as we could have stayed another hour. I believe this hotel has the best location in town and with the nearby Der Steirer eatery affiliated with the hotel it is a win/win for a weekend trip to Graz or the region. We had spent a romantic evening in its sister hotel the Grand Ferdinand in Vienna which to me has the best breakfast at a hotel I have ever experienced! So I give das Weizer two thumbs up for its hospitality and restaurant and comfortable bed! We will return for a visit to Graz again! It is the unknown second largest city in Austria!
Visited this hotel with some customers and it was all very good. The rooms were very nice and the bar and patio outside was a delight in the warm summer night. We had dinner around the corner at a adjoint wine bar and resturant which was also very good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but certainly the sort of hotel to recommend.
Stayed here due to being here on business. The rooms are to a great standard & very very clean. A little quirky with a suitcase as a safe & fridge inside :-). Breakfast was great with lots of choice. All in all 10/10. Will look at booking again, when I'm in Graz next. If I was to be a bit picky matress was a bit firm. See you soon.
I stayed at the Weitzer for 2 nights and the bed was horribly bad- I have never ever in my entire life slept in such hard. Also the heating was turned off because it is already summer, however it was a very rainy and cold day. Fortunately the very kind receptionist organised a portable heater for my room. The room was also smelling very weird (despite a closed window), depending on what was cooked for the seminar participants that very day. I very much enjoyed the cleaning ladies on the floor starting to chat at 7 am when walls were paper thin. Although the personell tried hard, I will not come back ever again.
I've stayed here many times. It is a very good hotel. It's a 'business' hotel in my opinion and slightly impersonal, as a result. Having said that, it is far from what one expects from a typically awful airport hotel. It's on the banks of the River Mur, is ideally located for the city centre/old town. The rooms are fine, although it is worth paying extra for a room in the 'main building', as opposed to an economy class room. What prevents me from giving an, 'excellent' rating, is the lack of a restaurant. It's essentially a B&B hotel. The hotel's owns the adjoining 'Der Steirer' restaurant, which is first class and therefore invariably full. I have never been able to book a table for dinner, when checking in of an evening. I'd recommend it.
It is a nice Hotel in the middle of Graz. The Classic Room turns out smaller then on the web but still ok for business. I like the bed and especially the pillows. No plastic and super relaxing. Clean room. Nice lobby and bar and super service personal with their Austrian charm. The breakfast ist what you wish for a good start in a business day. Fruits Vegi English traditional all fresh and never empty. And again the service serves you even if it is self service with a big smile. You should book in when ever you are their
