The room was cozy and well isolated from the street and train station noise. Only problem was weak toilet air purifier. That could be better as the toilet has no windows. Also the cleaning lady didn't change bed sheets. Best thing was a rich breakfast in the morning.
Me & my wife checked-in at the Daniel hotel in Graz on 09-Oct-2017 for 1-night for 147 Euro and our stay at what they call "smart" room was terrible!!! The room is very small, not-clean with a smelly&fealthy carpet. The "1 square-meter toilet" & shower combination share one sliding-door!!! We had to use flashlights to access the toilet at night since the light comes out through the glass-wall on the showers adjacent to the bed. The sink is next to the bed!!! To upgrade the room (with a balcony) they asked for additional 17 Euro which we felt was expensive on top of the 147 Euro we paid for the "smart" room. This is the "worse" room we ever stayed!!! Our recommendation to future guests is to be smart and do not check-in to this "smart" room.
Clean, modern Austrian hotel. Comfortably quiet even the centrak station is nearby. They sell Daiel brand house hold goods like shampoo, T-shirt. I love their buffet breakfast having lots of choice including smoked salmon.
Stayed four nights and really liked the modern, quirky style. We had one of the larger 'loggia' rooms which featured a balcony and loads of natural light. The beds are very comfortable and the 'raindance' ' shower fantastic . Minor drawbacks are that there is no room safe so any valuables have to be stored at reception plus the only clothes storage is a hanging rail when in fact there was space ( at least in our room ) for some drawers or shelves. Breakfast was also fantastic with fresh fruit, loads of different breads and lovely coffee. There is a pleasant bar which also serves coffee and snacks eg sandwiches. Staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke good English. Would stay there again if we return to the lovely city of Graz.
Stayed here for one night. Right next to the main station but very quiet rooms. A short tram ride into the city centre. A perfect location and a very friendly and helpful team. Comfortable and spotless rooms. Will definitely stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on business. The hotel is modern and clean. The room was compact but modern in design and comfortable. My only complaint would be the pillows on the bed are too soft and I've ended up with neck ache. Other than that I had a great stay. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'd definitely return.
The building is old and it shows but professional service and a great breakfast make up for an enjoyable stay overall. I had a Loggia room on the 6th floor. Bed very comfortable, a balcony with a view to the Europaplatz. Old furniture, some wooden furniture below the sink also chipped. However, the designed shower seemed to be renovated recently and is in great condition. The room is by no means luxury, but if you're good with a 3-star simple room and a friendly, accommodating service, you'll be happy here.
I was staying over night with my parents in Graz ...booked hotel Daniel one room paid for the room when arrived a snotty rude front desk attendant told me he didn't care what I booked but if I wanted to stay there I would have to buy another room bc we were 3 me and my parents ...left us out in the cold laughed with another customer at me while witnessing my struggle ...i would definitely not recommend this place
I stayed at Hotel Daniel this week as part of a business trip. The check-in process was simple and attended by competent English speaking staff. The room was clean with a large bed and appointed well. The bathroom was of wet room design with the shower over to one side with a large glass wall giving full visibility into the main part of the bedroom. WiFi was available with a good TV. room wa a bit stuffy when I first went in but soon cleared after opening the window for a few minutes. Breakfast was plentiful, Continental and served in a spacious dining room. The hotel is close to the station and the town and I enjoyed my stay
I can't say enough about the excellent service we received at this hotel. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff they were there to accommodate your every need. Breakfast is an additional charge and it is less if you let them know the night before that you will be having breakfast there. We were there for two weeks so we had to use the laundry service. Truly satisfied with everything. Interesting setup for bathroom. If you are in the shower and someone is in the restroom, only one of you can shut the door. There is also a glass wall in the shower that allows other occupants of the room to see you shower. This was not a problem for me, but I could see where some people might be put off by this. They have a suite, called the "Loft" on top of the building. Didn't see the inside, but would like to stay there. I'm sure the view would be great. It was also convenient to be right at the station for the train, tram, and bus. I paid 14 euros for a week and had unlimited access to the tram and bus. You really don't need a car in Graz, the tram and bus will take you everywhere.
