When I arrived at the hotel, the room was not ready but the receptionist was so kind to offer me drinks at the bar or coffee /tea at the coffee shop. The room was clean and spacious and there were amenities like slippers, sponge duckie and bathrobes ( it is kind of rare in Europe ). They even sent fruits to the room. Bed was comfortable and water pressure in the shower was good. As Graz is a small place, you can walk everywhere from the hotel. There is a garage right underneath the hotel so it makes transporting of luggages much easier. Check out was a breeze and we were given 2 bottles of water for our onward trip - a very thoughtful gesture. If I ever come back to Graz again, I would definitely stay in this hotel.
extremely easy reception procedures, booking etc. Even the small rooms are quite large, nice large bathroom, spotlessly clean. Beautiful art on all walls in the hotel and a healthy and great breakfast buffet make the stay a joy. If only the garage was a bit larger!
From the polite welcome at Reception, to the spacious rooms, art on the walls everywhere and other details (bathrobe, slippers, duckie sponge, mini-hygiene kit, Austrian Zotter chocolate for a good night, hair dryer, magazines for reading), this hotel is a boutique gem on the quiet side of Graz. (If you take the tram to get there, be sure to check the Sunday schedule, since running less frequently. Or walk 3-4 blocks to Jacominiplatz and the downtown area.)
The Augarten Art Hotel hotel was excellent, good location, very clean; beds are very comfortable. You feel like you are in a beautiful museum with interesting artworks. Very high standard of service in all hotel departments , excellent breakfast with lots of choices.... Especially I would like to commend whole reception for their professionalism and service. Front Office Manager Ms. Lisa was an excellent help during my reservation. Goodbye water, was very much appreciated, nice touch. If returning to Graz, I would not hesitate to rebook this hotel. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and most of the time, a hotel is just a hotel. This one is quite different: one to remember. Very art minded hotel, not really my cup of tea but you can see all is the details. Special design of the hotel I have never seen before: two sides of the room look outside (not corner) Very friendly people working there. Breakfast withots of things to try. And what I liked the most: the swimming pool with the jet so you can keep swimming endlessly :) Ps. You might want to let the people warking at the hotel try it out: half of them didn't know, and the other half knew but never tried it.
This is one of the "lifestyle" boutique hotels. Designed by an architect, it exhibits several hundred original art works. Overall it is a very stylish and unique hotel. We were upgraded to a lovely large room with a kitchenette and an outdoor patio (shared with one other room). The bed was terrific. Our room was near the back of the hotel and was very quiet. The bathroom was spacious and they provided washcloths--unusual in Europe and much appreciated. The staff was excellent --very pleasant and helpful. Parking in the underground garage was very convenient, the elevator came right up into the hotel. I noticed some reviewers found the garage tight. It is, but in fact it was more spacious than many underground European garages. Breakfast was excellent. We've had many excellent breakfasts in European hotels but this was one of the best. A few minor negatives--it is a bit of a walk to the historic area. The hotel is in a non-commercial area so there were no little convenience stores or grocery stores or restaurants nearby. The shower is in the bathtub, it was a perfectly fine shower but I'm not as young as I was and climbing over a high tub wall is becoming an increasing challenge. I mention this only in case some of you reading this have the same issue. Overall this was an excellent hotel experience and I definitely would return.
GRAZ, 🇦🇹 Austria, the second largest city in this country; charming and beautiful as the other cities visited here. Each one with its characteristic. Here, strongly university, similar to Salzburg, but in my optics, Salzburg more prepared for tourism and for being smaller, more welcoming, especially in what concerns the central area / Old City. The AUGARTEN HOTEL is amazing, lovely attendants, like Julia, for example on the reception, modern, fantastic breakfast included in your rate, and garage for your car provide by 12 euros/night You are able to just walk to know the mainly attractions of the city.
What more do you want from a hotel that caters to business people and tourists? I've stayed here half a dozen times and it's the same experience - easy in, easy out, comfortable, nice amenities, and great breakfast. Best of all - no attitude.
This beautiful superior designed hotel is centrally located. Walkable distance to the city. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staffs are friendly at the reception and very helpful. Food is good. Loved the breakfast spread. :)
Upon arrival we were upgraded to an apartment suite with a fantastic terrace and all amenities possible. Bed was very comfortable and the apartment was clean. There was plenty of modernistic art on the walls. Great parking garage that could be conveniently reached by elevator from outside the apartment. We also enjoyed the pool and gym in the main building, although we were not able to get the sauna to work. Hotel staff was lovely and very service-minded. All in all a real gem and we're sure to come back next time we're in Graz.
