I stayed in this hotel several times since June of this year, a cleaning service is getting progressively worse, on several occasions, trash was not taking out of the room, they allow pets , and elevator smelled as wet dog who pooped there, when i told this to a supervisor , she started giving me attitude and told me that i should move to a different hotel if i don't like it, on another occasion, someone fried fish in the room , a smell on a whole way was terrible for two days, I swear the place is getting progressively dirtier and dirtier
Stayed here on our trip west. Wonderful hotel. Convenient to Interstate and places to eat. Nice to have plenty of room. Everything was perfect and price was reasonable. Breakfast was good and nicely presented. We would definitely stay here again. Residence Inn never disappoints us.
Just had breakfast at the Marriott Residence Inn and it was delicious. Really, one of the best I have had ever!! I travel a lot. I hope they give their cook a big raise. Quiet hotel with responsive team.
The hotel is nice with the new updates. Has a kitchenette with full size refrigerator. We booked through Priceline so we just received one bed and sofa bed for a family of 4. Terrible idea either book an additional room because the sofa bed is terrible. I ended up sleeping on the floor because my back could not handle it. The amenities are a bonus and are included in the room. I had to use the laundry facilities which was clean and big. I was so glad there was more than one machine. Staff was very helpful during check in and provided a map of the area. I would stay again but book two beds and pay extra for a full night of sleep.
Got in pretty late, looking forward to cooking nice meal in room kitchen. Sent grampa and two teen boys with steaks and lobster tails to the "barby" grill provided outside while I made the rest of dinner in. Had to reconfigure the desk to join with table and pull ottoman over for a seat so all 4 of us could eat together. Nice to have a bedroom with door, but boys still had to cross through to use the bathroom. Pool was nice, hot tub relaxing - boys also worked out in gym. Breakfast was just fine with hot selections - I always look forward to this and it is always consistent! Staff was great. Boys were a bit crowded on couch bed, should have got a rollaway! Really good choice to get the kitchen suite for families.
Last minute July 4th booking equals Room 427. The good news, you don't have to worry about disturbing your neighbors on either side of you. The bad news, it was July 4th weekend and the hotel was booked to capacity so changing after discovering the issues that evening wasn't worth the hassle. If you can't change your room or can't be bothered, bring ear plugs or grab one at the local Safeways or City Market! Why? Room to your left when entering room 427 is a maintenance room with equipment that hums and sounds like a vent/ac left on all day. The other to your right is a maintenance / storage room with staff going in and out of it throughout the day. Issues with the room noise aside, room is well maintained and kept clean by housekeeping. And I did not have any issues with Wi-Fi connection. Room 427 had everything needed to prepare a meal and keep left overs or edibles refrigerated. I also appreciated being able to have the fridge make ice for a small/medium sized cooler for daily use/hikes. Outside courtyard / patio was also a nice feature of this RI. You can grill your food on a first come first serve basis using the gas grill and enjoy the outdoors without having to deal with traffic / parking as is often the case with other RI outdoor areas. Located within throwing distance of the regional airport and next door to a Courtyard, this RI was relatively quiet. That said, it has few options for dining without having to drive out again. Why being able to stop once at the local City Market / Safeway and cook was great! Overall the facilities are in above average conditions. Perhaps my only faults with the facilities is that it only has one elevator and it can get rather tiresome waiting for it. Stairs were often quicker. And that while it, like all RI's are smoke free facilities / rooms, the areas it does allow smoking does not make any sense to me ... like the main entrance. On more than a few occasions, on entering or exiting you're likely to deal with smokers/second hand smoke whether from employees or guests sitting outside enjoying their smoke. Would I stay here again ... probably not. There is another RI one/two exits up closer to dining and grocery options. Or I would probably try one of those instead or the Courtyard next door.
What an exceptional staff "works" at the RI Grand Junction. They do everything possible to make sure that you have fun and enjoy a comfortable stay in GJ. Our stay added to the enjoyment we had while visiting part of our family. Our granddaughter stayed with us part of the time and was so pleased. Breakfast was yummy with plentiful choices. The "Mix" was tasty, and we enjoyed the local beer. Also, the shuttle service saved us money, and we so enjoyed our chauffeur Judy.
Great place to stay! Clean updated 2 bedroom suite. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! When we left they even gave us 2- 10lb bags of ice for our cooler. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
I took my kids on a trip to visit family and decided it would be beneficial to have a kitchen so we would not eat out while we were visiting. I decided to 'splurge' and get a suite with a full kitchen and I was not disappointed one bit. Not only was I impressed but my children were absolutely besides themselves with how cool this room was. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub every night that we were there and the front desk, house keepers and other hotel staff were absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly. There are only 2 things that I found to be dissatisfactory was 1) whomever stayed above us in the room was incredibly loud and would pound on the floor until late in the evenings, which made it difficult some nights to go to sleep. 2) the first night we stayed there we had to buy things at there little mart they had downstairs. I was absolutely floored at how much they charged us for a couple microwave meals, a soda and 2 ice cream cones for my kids. It was well over $30 for quite literally 5 small items. I reviewed the receipt and noticed that they charged almost $3.18 for tax PER item. Absolutely absurd if you ask me and a TOTAL rip off. If I hadn't just spent 13 hrs driving on the road I would have made it to the store to grab food, but this was the only option we had that night and I am not impressed.
The Residence Inn Grand Junction is a clearly superior operation. The rooms are well appointed, the staff superior, the breakfast excellent, and the location favorable. We enjoyed our visit and will use this hotel again in the future.
