Hotel Monte Vista

The property is interesting for his historical appeal. The location is fantastic (couldn't be better) and it's fun to stay in a haunted hotel. There are certain rooms that have unique/scary stories about what happened and the ghosts that continue to visit. It is definitely a run down hotel though. It is somewhat kept that way for character but the beds are old and I felt like I had to wear socks on the carpet. The wifi is also almost non-existent. The bar is cute and the staff was friendly.

We love staying at the Monte. Having coffee and cocktails in the hotel is a HUGE bonus. It's alwasy so warm and cozy, adn the location is perfect. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. We love it here.

The staff was rude and unreasonable. I asked to speak to a manager and was refused I left.

Entrance, Lobby, bar and location were wonderful. Our room was not what we expected. Small, dirty windows. Found small items under the bed.

The 'Roaring Twenties' still roaring! Wonderful old heart-of-Downtown hotel having a 'hipster' ambiance and a lively Var and Music scene. You will like this!!

Wonderful old 1920's 'pride of the high country' gathering, resting, and eating place that despite its age STILL has it Mojo as a meeting place for the 'hip' in this 'hip' little city on the old Route 66... Not 'fully transformed' into an 'overdressed boutique' hotel - it retains much of the 'old' and 'dated' furnishings but all of the rooms are Clean, Comfortable, and really quite pleasant!! The staff's friendliness and enthusiasm - coupled with the great bar and bistro within AND being walkable to most everything in town make this a perfect place to 'shake those chain hotel blues' - highly recommended by a world traveler!

Enjoyed the hotel history, easy to find location and close to restaurants, Lowell Observatory and Museum of Northern Arizona (recommend both). Hotel is still doing details in restoration and some little things need attention. There is a church whose bells ring at night - not a good thing. Flagstaff is a college town and the clientele at the hotel is young but not rowdy or noisy. Much, much better than typical mid-level hotel chains.

Great location. Drunken noises at night. This is our second visit, two different rooms, same problem with window AC of crackling noise in the middle of the night as it ices up inside - per the front desk. They gave us some money back, but not staying again.

Historic hotel right in the middle of many shops and restaurants. The Rendevoux lounge was filled with people having a good time. No coffee in the room....very good coffee in the lounge with donuts, scones, and bagels. My room had no shower...large jacuzzi type tub. The sink was extremely small..even difficult to brush your teeth. The room was not spacious, but had a welcoming, quaint look. The bed was very comfortable. Parking is at a premium!

It could use a coffee pot in the room. The bed was comfortable and we like that we could do our laundry. The rate was good for Flagstaff during homecoming week.

Hotel Monte Vista is really cool. So much history nestled in Flagstaffs historic Downtown. Hotel puts you right in the middle of the action. Really rad bar connected to hotel not to mention a ton of other really good bar/restaraunts a stones throw. Room was really cool. Also really quite which I was worried about so win there. The only downside to hotel is very limited parking lot then everything else around hotel is 2hr. That can get a bit tricky but honestly wasn't that big of a deal. The hotel was very accommodating. I'll be back that's for sure!

3 days, 3 nights on 4th floor, great pick. So happy.
