We stayed at this hotel and we found everything to be outstanding!! The hotel position was in the old part of the city, we could walk anywhere. It was still quiet even though we were just back from the crowds really! The staff at checkin/our were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was perfect and delicious. The room was the best yet in regards to space and decor. The hotel was beautiful and felt authentic also. The only read on I wouldn’t give 5 stars is because our room smelt badly from being a smokers room and occasionally there was a foul odour from the bathroom. BUT, I would definitely recommend this place to stay when in Granada!!
Excellent location in the centre of the old quarter with magnificent views of the Alhambra. Room slightly on small side but ultimately not a significant issue. Otherwise I can recommend a stay with very helpful and friendly staff.
I reserved two rooms at Palacio de Santa ines through email communication. They were very timely and accommodating in their correspondence. We were to pay for this hotel upon arrival and I am glad this was the arrangement. By the time we got to Granada it was past afternoon and we were driving a large 4x4 car, we made our way towards this hotel through narrow streets, one-way alleys and crowded Alhambra area. At some point, the drivable road ended so some of us had to go on foot to find the hotel. Lovey inside and a place we wish to have explored. When we asked the front desk about parking space, we were told there was non near the hotel, the closest one 2 something km and another cheaper option, 5 km away from the hotel. This was very disappointing as this point was not mentioned in our communication and we realized that we had to pay extra for taxis back and forth to the car from the hotel and also carrying the luggage uphill towards the hotel was not something to look forward to. We asked the front desk to cancel our reservation and kind enough they did not charge us anything. This is a great hotel, close to Alhambra but if you are driving, or are a large crowd or have a few heavy luggage, the location can become tricky. We had to make last minute arrangement and find accommodation elsewhere.
Hotel is Ok. Nothing fancy about the property itself. The location is good with respect to the Alhambra. The ambiance within the Lobby /reception area feels cold and without any personal warmth. Breakfast is so, so, for 10 euros I was expecting more variety. We had a family room for 4 people with a queen down stairs and two twins at the mezzanine. A spiral ladder to reach the mezzanine made it a little unsafe if you were not careful. Bathroom with double sink came in handy though. This is not a Marriott nor a Hilton so don’t expect the nice amenities. The price seems a bit high compared for the value. There is no parking so you need to park far and then take a taxi. To compare I suggest you check other properties on the same street which by the way offer on site parking. I am not sure if I would stay again here.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is located in an old Moorish house in the heart of Granada's old city with lots of bars and restaurants around it. It has great atmosphere and hospitable staff, which were very helpful directing us to various attractions.
This hotel has great character and location. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. We took advantage of the breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea service and found them very satisfactory. We also utilized the WiFi, room safe and luggage storage, again with good results. This hotel and its personnel exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again.
Even though I visited solo, the place felt romantic. The room had a stairwell up to a reading nook. There was complimentary wine. This was the first warm room that felt cozy after 2 weeks of traveling in Spain in December. I enjoyed my stay. Book Alhambra tickets in advance!
Great place to stay a few nights. Room very generous size, excellent location in the old city. To look out our bedroom window and see Alhambra Palace was wonderful. Breakfast selection was very extensive and served in a communal fining room which oozed history and charm. Would highly recommend staying here, staff were excellent, very friendly and most seemed to be able to communicate with a smattering of Engligh to our embarrassing attempt at Spanish...
Very good located. Old spanish style. Charming! Due to a technical problem with my room the receptionist MAR did Everything right and showed that she is super focused on customer service! Big thanks to her for making my stay excellent!!
We were looking looking for a traditional hotel with character during our trip through Andalucia and the Palacio de Santa Ines certainly fits the bill. It is also in an excellent location in the Albayzin district, but close to the city centre and within walking distance (uphill) of the Alhambra and the Mirador St Nicolas. We parked in the hotel's recommended parking lot and took a taxi to the hotel (the cost is refunded on your bill by the hotel). On checking out we decided to walk back to the car park which is only about 10-15 minutes gentle downhill walk. You have to remember that this is a three star hotel and in an historic building so don't expect everything to be perfect. Our room was rustic but spacious with a mezzanine level. The hotel offered excellent value for money with a good quality breakfast included and free teas and coffees in the afternoon. In November, the mornings and evenings in Granada were a bit chilly and our one criticism was that the heating in our room was not very effective. If the room had been a little bit warmer this would definitely been a 5 star stay.
