Saray Hotel

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The poor rating was due to Luke warm reception staff and air conditioning not working very well in room. 38+/100 degree weather and room was warm and stuffy. Otherwise good location and close to dining.

In general it is a good hotel based on the room charge. But, the staff in the front desk do not have enough information what the guest asked for..

Very friendly staff Location not too far from action. Nice room for the price

Located by the convention center, which is well connected by bus, but it takes at least 15 minutes to walk to the cathedral area. Good price. However there is no gym, which is strange as it is rated 4-star.

Good service, breakfast was great- enjoyed the pool and the rooms were comfortable. A little walk to the city but in a very nice nabourhood with lots of good tapasbars..

Excellent value. Very clean and modern. Stayed 3nights A little bit of walk to center of town, but perfectly doable. Nice quiet location.

We stayed in 8 4-star hotels during our three week trip to Catalonia and Andalusia- this was the best. The location was also one of the most accessible by car. You cannot walk easily from the hotel to the Alhambra- the Albycin was about our limit, but there is lot to see and do in between. The hotel was a luxurious oasis after our daily sight seeing. The best treat was the dinner in the hotel restaurant. The service was 5 star.

With our pre-booked Alhambra tour we decided that Granada was the destination we wanted, for mixing culture and spanish lifestyle. It was a total success thanks to the Saray Hotel, which has a lovely cooling pool in the middle of the city, not far from the river and close to the start of the Tapas route! The rooms were calm, squeaky clean and the parking, although 16€ a night, was underground and kept our car cool and safe. The next day we waited in the coll, mauresque style lobby for our tour organiser to pick us up. A perfect trip on both accounts and our grown daughter were delighted too. Would recommend.

The hotel was clean, upgraded nicely. There was a safe in the room-perfect to lock up the valuables we left in the room. The "queen bed" was two twins pushed together, but it was comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful--most spoke some english. There was a bar in the hotel that was open at night to get drinks. The hotel also offered a 'breakfast,' but we did not buy it. The location of the hotel is somewhat away from the 'center' of town--on a quiet street. It was a safe and easy 20 minute walk to get to the more lively part of town. There were a few hotels closer to town--but we saw people dragging their luggage from small alley ways to the main street to get a taxi. we didnt have to do that--we had the front desk call for a taxi and it was there to pick us up within 10 minutes. It was a good value. we would stay there again and recommend it. it has a beautiful pool (no spa), but it was too cold for us to swim.

We were staying in Granada for one night and this hotel was the best value for the money. It is very nicely decorated and staff is helpful. Hotel room was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. The pool area was beautiful with fountains and great after a hot day at the Alhambra. The only drawback is that it is not too close to the center of town; however, it is one block from the bus line and the taxi stand.

Stayed here due to its location and its pool which I never used, my fault. Pool was fine though if you were a lap swimmer you would have to make your own path between 10 to 20 kids who might be in the way. Service was good save for one crabbie lady behind the check in/out desk. Room was pleasant though prices for drinks in the 'fridge were very high, the highest I have seen in Spain, 4.50 Euros for a can of Heineken for example. WI-FI worked well and was free but to use the hotels so called business center computer was a whopping 1.50 for :30 minutes and 3.00 Euros for an hour. Room was comfortable, there were many pillows which we ended up putting on chairs and just using one. It's about an 8 Euro taxi ride from /to bus and train stations, there is a river and park about 20 minutes from the front door.

The hotel facilities were great. The atmosphere was charming and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Saray Hotel is located in the city center and is close to many restaurants, bars, and a 7 euro cab ride to the Al Hambra.
