This is a wonderful hotel perfectly located within walking distance of most of the key attractions in Granada. Comfortable and staffed by friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
For 100 euro per night, was good value, but don't expect many benefits. Room was small. Very difficult to get to by car, had to park a fair distance away. Although you can see the Alhambra, quite the hike to get there. If driving, would stay further away. Breakfast was average, and not a very nice room.
One of the best places to stay in Granada! Good sized room with a balcony overlooking the Alambhra, next to the court of justice. All amenities that should be there in a good room were there. Beds were very comfortable Washroom was really good- that is the first thing I look for in a hotel room!! Here again- very helpful staff. Went out of their way to help with tickets for Zambra show, even printed our boarding passes for us. Location is fantastic- the hop on hop off bus leaves from right in front, taxi stand is right there, awesome al fresco dining outlets, variety of food available and a beautiful view of the Alambhra!! We could open the big windows of the balcony and sit and watch! The road to the Albercin was a minute away! This is The Place to stay- full value for money
Clean, simple rooms. Great shower. Free wifi. Location on Plaza Nueva can't be beat. Close to best of everything - shops, restaurants and sightseeing all nearby. Buses and taxis right outside. Always busy area.
The rooms are somewhat small, but had everything we needed. We had a superior room which had a view of the square but the air conditioning couldn't quite combat the heat outside. The regular doubles our older kids had lacked the view but at least the aircon worked! The location is superb - walking distance to the Alhambra & the staff were super helpful.
This hotel is right in the heart of Granada and there is no need to drive anywhere, you can start exploring as soon as you step outside, that is the one big plus. The room we were given had no view, the only window it had, faced the inside of the building where all the a/c units are.The room was on the small to very small size(just enough room for a queen size bed which was comfortable,a small desk and small closet), shower was good but my knees pushed against the tub when I sat on the toilet. no amenities such as a mini fridge, coffee maker or complimentary bottled water. Price wise...about 50 euros a night with no breakfast(there's plenty of cheap food as soon as you walk out).
If you are looking for a modern 5 star hotel then don't go here, if you are looking for a no frills, clean, welcoming and well placed hotel then this is ideal. We stayed for one night only as we had come specifically to visit the Alhambra, we had room 406. The room was small but lovely and clean, bedding and towels all ok and toiletries provided, also had a bath which was lovely after 6 hours walking around the Alhambra. Air con was very good, no safe but some available at reception. TV in room but nothing much to watch but wifi was very good. Only downside is walls are paper thin and not all other guests are considerate but we intended being up and about the next morning anyway. Lots of places to eat and drink close by and Plaza Nueva is at the foot of the Alhambra, couldn't be much better placed. Consider the hotel to be excellent value for the amount we paid.
Hotel is situated in the best square in Granada because you can get to the tourist spots by walking on the beautiful, narrow, picturesque streets. It is also convenient to the minibus that takes you to the Alhambra. The rooms are very small, especially for three people, which was marketed as a "suite" - which is wasn't! Included breakfast was adequate, as was the concierge service and internet. We considered it good value for the money.
We stayed at the Hotel Macia Plaza during our two night trip to Granada. The location is fantastic and we popped for a front facing view of the main square and the castle on the hill. The staff was very nice. The room was college dorm room tiny with two twin beds (we got the Rick Steves' 15% discount). The bathroom was clean but had a funky sewer gas smell in it. The breakfast room was terrific and had a nice assortment of things to eat. Again, for the money you cannot beat the location! You are not in the room very much so its size wasn't really an issue.
The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel was convenient. We were within walking distance to the bus stop to the Alhambra. We were able to eat out front of the hotel with the restaurant next door. The shops were close by and everything was convenient. Our room was on the street side and the noise was minimal with the window closed. It was fun to people watch. The taxis line up and wait for riders. Many friendly people walking and talking.
