I stayed here for 10nights in early October and I was so well looked after. The room was spotless, the bed so comfortable I didn’t want to rush out of bed in the morning.All the staff, from the welcoming staff at reception to the house keeping staff,and the breakfast staff. Thank you for a great stay, I will return. This was my third time staying here. I would just like to add, that despite there being many tour groups staying in the hotel, the staff were very professional and worked very hard to make things very acceptable for everyone.

Awesome motel . Clean ... Nice staff. Good breakfast .. Recommended it to all. Nice, quiet, good beds awesome pillows! Just no newspaper ... not a biggie . Well priced. Good value It’s quiet so you can sleep ! Georges J

Very comfortable room, and the hotel has laundry facilities, plus a pool, although we didn't visit this facility. Usual HIE style breakfast, but adequate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not far of the highway, but a short drive to Downtown Golden.

Wow wow wow! Never have we been treated so poorly but thanks to Glenda(?) we have had our worst customer service experience EVER! Beyond ignorant and rude when we checked in. Asking her if Golden had a Starbucks left me feeling like I was a criminal. We travel regularly for work and stay in hotels monthly. When we went down and complained about her on check out we were SHOCKED to learn we weren’t the first and I’m sure won’t be the last to be treated so awful by the woman the night prior. My CC was cancelled due to fraud in Mexico from a week earlier (I didn’t find out till the Sunday night when I tried to book hotel, the Asian woman here said it was fine and totally was great to us). So when we checked in we knew we needed a cash deposit which was fine, when this B said “fine but you’ll need to pay 200$ and can you even? And I can’t give you a receipt since we don’t do this” we were left feeling like we were being judged on our alternative look. (We own a tattoo studio and my spouse is the lead artist) We traveled 20 hours in the past week by car as we were touring and at a convention in Calgary, the last thing we needed was to be treated like that. The rooms were comfortable but we woke up to a very loud high pitched noise which was unpleasant. I’ll be checking to see if this lady is still employed before we ever considered booking there again.

I stayed here one night while in the area visiting the national parks. It is a much better value than Banff or Canmore. It looks like new, everything worked well, and I slept well. The room was clean and functional. I did notice the carpet in the hallway could be cleaner. I would stay here again if in the area, it's probably the best option in Golden.

The hotel is located just off the main road through town so it’s nice and quiet. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return on a future trip. This is a newer facility as most Holiday Inn Express are.

Stayed here from 3 nights on the way back from the island. You will rarely get disappointed by a Holiday Inn brand chain of hotels - there is a reason they are known for their name. Perfect clean rooms, open lobby and inviting front desk. The hotel has a indoor pool & hot tub making it a perfect destination for families. Complimentary breakfast is included in the rate which includes meat as well. Well run Hotel !!!

Nice hotel with all the facilities you need from a truck stop town hotel, receptionist was helpful if not a little bored with her job. Air-conditioning in the room didn't work so we spoke to receptionist who said she already knew - then why allocate the room! Room swapped to a fully functioning room which was nicer so all good in the end. The bed was very comfortable, room was nice and quiet,and breakfast was basic but efficient although eating off polystyrene plates was disappointing. Views from the room were either the carpark, The garage forecourt next door or MacDonalds. Not brilliant value for money.

Climbing into bed I discovered a blood stain on my duvet. Upon closer inspection there was four large patches of blood spatter on the duvet I was meant to sleep under. I called the front desk and after 30 minutes someone came to change the bedding. Needless to say I did not sleep very well, wondering what else was not clean in the space. I eventually slept a portion of the night in the van. White dried substance was evident on the bedside table, another area that was not cleaned. The next day I tried to use the pool and hot tub. After getting out of the hot tub, I discovered no towels were available in the towel stand. I had to walk through the lobby in my bathing suit, to get back to my room. When I told the front desk, the staff brushed me off, and did nothing to help get me a towel. Upon checkout I requested a discount, based on my poor experience. Because I was in Golden at an event, the prices were very high, over $300 per night. I felt that the hotel did not meet my expectations, especially for the amount they were charging. I was told I could have $20 off my night, which I felt was unacceptable. I asked that the Manager call me. He never did and I had to call myself. In speaking with the Manager he was rude, he did not acknowledge the seriousness of finding that much blood on my bedding, and offered me $50 refund. When I indicated this was not enough he shut down, was rude and disrespectful and indicated he would give me nothing. At that point I called Holiday Inn head office, who were wonderful and understanding. Because I booked through Expedia, they could not do anything, but were so understanding and helpful. In the end expedia did provide me with an acceptable refund for one night. They were fantastic to deal with, as was the Holiday Inn head office. Overall the Manager at this individual holiday inn had the opportunity to be polite, own the error and do the right thing. He chose not to. I would not recommend ever staying in this hotel, as you would never know if it was truly clean. And the attitude of the Manager, and the staff is to brush you off. They will not help problem solve, which really would have made all the difference.

We've stayed here a couple of times. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious and very well appointed (including a microwave, fridge and Kuerig coffee maker). The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is quite good. We will definitely stay here again.
