Evelyn was very friendly and the apartment was clean with a lovely balcony. Beware of you are on the 3rd floor and heavy luggage as there are no lifts. Great access to the tram The closest shop is the shell service station Coles express that supplies very limited basics
The room was completely covered in dust...even the WALLS had clusters of dust just piled up. The owners are the worst and clearly don't care about their customers. Do yourself a favour and stay away...far far away.
I booked this holiday package through expedia.com because the price was good cheap & place was looked lovely. We were extremely happy with our room, bed was comfy, kitchen had everything & the washing & dryer. Like a lil home away from home. We made very good use of pool & spa & free sports channels. We didn't see the owners much but when we did were very lovely & accommodating people. I would have given 5 stars but our phone was turned off after 9 outta 14 days stay. And the hot water turned off on our 2nd to last night stay. Please beware that the phone calls are not free. Other than that. We will happily come back here as the location is great & not much traffic noise. Thanks heaps
Was put in a filthy room bin dirty, balcony had poo on walls could even sit in there for 1 minute dust everywhere place was old and cupboards was falling apart for the money that was asked wasn't even worth it as even thought the place is old it could be cleaned had a bad experience then they wanted to charge 70 for cleaning even though nothing was touched we had to ask for a refund as you could not stay there discussing even the games room had dust built up on the glass table it made me sick, comes across as nice but in fact they are rude as once we got our refund she was so rude we were tired and worn out had to make other arrangements pictures are deceiving pool was dirty I pointed all the dirtiness and mould out and they were in denial overall they left us stranded and very dirty not worth the money
We decided to book a room through wotif.com. When we arrived there was no one at the office. We had to talk to a phone service to check in which was ok. From the outside the place looked ok but when we entered our room it was a different story. There were staples sticking up through the carpet, cigarette butts littered on the balcony, one roll of toilet paper for 3 people for three days (you had to pay for more toilet paper??), the kitchen tap was loose and worst of all the sheets were dirty. When we tried to get another room, the room they offered us was worse than the first room. We then told them we are leaving at 3pm, checked in at 2.30 and they told us they would not give us a refund. The owners are very rude. Warning, this place is not clean. We tried to get our money back from wotif.com but the motel refused. We had to find another place to stay for the night which cost us another 300 dollars. Not happy
It is one of the worst apartments to stay on holiday, very smelly, sofa beds broken and on top of that they charge you on your credit card charges for cleaning without your approval. They ask guest not to clean while checking out and then charge you next day without checking with guest. Recommend all not to stay here strongly. They are also very hard to be contacted after hours and if you are checking in late it is so difficult to reach them
We stayed here over the Christmas break and have to say may not be the most modern place but very good value for money and very close to everything. You can walk to Broadbeach, you can walk to the patrolled beach. You also have a tram stop up on the highway, just minutes away. The pool is quite small when the resort is full, but definely recommend this resort to anyone !!
Our stay at Santana was a very pleasant one. The room was clean, quiet. Swimming pool and spa were great. Location is close to Broadbeach. The service is excellent and the reception staff we found also very welcoming and helpful.
Ideally, I would have given this resort 3.5 stars if possible. Reading past reviews and weighing up our personal experience I think that the owners actually try to use the criticism given to make improvements where needed. My husband booked this place and when I read the reviews I panicked. I actually asked him to cancel and rebook elsewhere. He told me to give it a go and I'm glad I did. No doubt about it, this is no 5 star resort. I was particularly turned off by hairs in the bath (especially considering I use the bath to bathe my one year old), some other cleanliness issues within the bathroom (mould in the shower frame, around the taps and in some of the grout lines) and some other areas in the unit that could have done with a good scrub, but overall I was pleasantly surprised. Relieved, actually. The whole apartment needs updating but the facilities are all you need for a comfortable stay. Despite some of the smaller cleanliness issues mentioned above, the apartment was perfectly liveable. We utilised the pool area regularly during our stay and thought the owners were lovely and more than willing to make our stay pleasant. Only recommendation (aside from a general upgrade) would be for a team of cleaners to come through and concentrate on the finer details. No regrets!
Worst stay ever, we hired the hotel for 10 days and we left after 3 nights didn't feel like we were on holidays at all. During the arrival we were given room 14 when we entered the apartment it stunk inside like cigarettes mixed with mould we dealt with it ourselves by buying 2 plug in air freshners, the carpet is filthy our washing machine was broken. Lucky we found another hotel for the next 6 nights will never return to this resort again. The place needs a massive renovation.
