If you are a fan of versace this is the hotel to stay in for you guys. Staff is helpful and the way the hotel have been made i mean the architecture and the interiors is something to admire. All n all a nice place
I just want to say a very big thank you to palazzo Versace for a wonderful stay back I’m Feb 2018. We had booked accommodation at another hotel and we were unhappy with it and had to find another hotel immediately and when we called Versace the team were so helpful and so great at accomodating our needs. Not only did Versace put us in an amazing room but made our holiday and experience even more special with little surprises to make us feel welcome and special. Complimentary chocolates every night, complimentary still water in our rooms and a turn down service. The pool is fantastic for adults and children and the breakfast is always a treat! Highly recommend this hotel to families with young children and anyone who wants the real five star experience. Well done to the management tem and the group of people who made our stay wonderful!!!! Will definitely be back!!
Everything you would expect. A very comfortable hotel with very nice restaurants and very helpful staff. Only a couple of minor irritations. It’s a big hotel and the walk to reception and restaurants is long. What’s makes this worse is that there are various entries in the hotel but these get locked at certain hours and some are not accessible to everyone. So you end up doing more walking. But minor irritation as I said this is a very good hotel and we had an enjoyable stay.
Classic "have the looks but no substance". We've stayed at the hotel once and also been to the restaurants a couple of times. I can say now that this is probably the most overrated hotel we've been. The hotel doesn't deliver what the name promises at all. Yet the entrance is beautiful and grand the furniture is actually quite uncomfortable, the silk chairs are slippery and hard to sit on. The room had nothing amazing about it, ceiling is low and has a claustrophobic feel, the corridors are dated has an "old" smell. The staff has a bit of an attitude, doesn't have a genuine serving manner. The only good restaurant is Vanitas, the rest is average or below average, we actually felt ill (all 4 of us) from having high tea one day. The food is visibly not fresh and they don't seem too concerned about it. After feeling sick last time we're definitely not coming back, I'm too scared. The pool is ok but has no privacy being right in front of the lobby. I'd stick to well know international luxurious brands.
We stayed for a week in a superior King room which opened out on to the pool area. Super comfy bed and pillows and lovely room. Service was good and decor of the hotel fantastic. We did the whole experience with high tea. Very conveniently situated with shopping centre and restaurants next door as well as restaurants in the hotel. Bus stop across the road. Would definitely stay again.
My partner and I went for dinner. Firstly, the hotel itself is stunning, the entrance grand and opulent and the chandelier in the foyer is breathtaking.. The bar area, whilst nice is not anything special and when we had drinks, we had to pay for them there and they couldn't be added to our bill which was frustrating. I had the most wonderful white sangria cocktail. Over to the restauarant and the Maitre Di was rude, did not look at us once, and spoke about us as if we were not standing in front of him, whilst directing our waitress to which table we were booked at. There was a large table of noisy people that obviously thought that shouting and carrying on was the way to go, people with money and no manners and this was obvious in quite a few of the clients also. The seafood buffet was stunning and we delighted in the choice and the selection, however the wine we ordered was not available and after pouring our wine once, the bottle was put in an ice bucket on the other side of the restaurant and I had to ask to be topped up, which was frustrating and bad service. The desserts were beautiful, tiny packages of delight and the cheese board was nice however a bit desimated and not topped up which was disappointing. The overall service started well and then tailed off to nothing, my general feeling is that I'm glad I came here and experienced it however I definitely wouldn't rush back. The price advertised for the buffet was without GST which is a rip off. It is definitely a place where money is more important to the hotel than manners and those people are welcome to it!
With 3 days to spare before catching a flight to Sydney and with us celebrating a 'big' anniversary year, we decided to sample the High Life! Just driving in to the Versace is an absolute pleasure; the Concierge ready and waiting to take you car and park it for you. Check-in was a dream and luggage was delivered to our Lagoon View room before us. The room, as most had, had a small French Balcony overlooking the swimming pools. a very comfortable king size bed and a 'to die for' bathroom. The Jacuzzi bath is large and, as the hotel likes to promote, it's big enough for two! Towels, so thick and soft, we had a job to fit them in the suitcase. (Joke!) For our anniversary dinner we decided to try the Fine Dining at the recently refurbished Vanitas Italian Restaurant; and we were not disappointed. A truly superb meal in wonderful surroundings. The staff here are brilliant, nothing like the snobby ones in 5-star hotels in London; these people talk to you, are friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. This is one hotel that everyone should try out at least once!
Our room was spacious and quiet. The bed was the best we have ever slept in, surpassing our own at home.We had the wonderfull experience of a tour in the Rolls Royce. High tea was just excellent and the staff here will do adsolutly anything for you to make you stay every thing you want, expect and need.
Really nice luxury hotel away from all the crowds situated at mains beach .the room is full of Versace branded toiletries and bed linen. The rooms are large and luxurious .we got a room overlooking the pool and this very nice .well worth the stay
First time stayed at the hotel and was just left flabbergasted with exquisite and impeccable service. Staff were super friendly, nice warm host and absolutely professional. Rooms were just simply great with any request taken care of within 5 minutes of putting it through. If you have money it is worth every penny!!!!!!
