We booked a three night stay via Luxury Escapes, and had a wonderful experience! I travelled with my husband and two young children, and it was the perfect relaxing mini break. We took a very early flight from Melbourne, and arrived with tired and hungry children. We were greeted with a very helpful concierge, and happily used the pool facilities and restaurant until our room was ready at the early time of 1pm. The breakfast buffets, a la carte lunch, and seafood dinners were delicious and memorable. The Lagoon room was lovely; comfortable beds, spacious spa, and lovely amenities. All staff that we encountered - concierge, restaurant staff, housekeeping, pool staff - were all wonderful and professional. Very happy customers! The talented piano player in the foyer was a nice touch as well!

I had lunch there with my friend on the 16th of February and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service we had received . The waiter who had served us was indeed a polished and well versed with menu and guided us with the best it had to offer . The char grilled king prawns were indeed excellent and followed with the wonderful dessert . Amazing and worth every cent . I had not taken the waiters name but he was a lovely Asian man. Thank you once again

We were so looking forward to our 3 day getaway at Palazzo Versace: so much so that we even had our car detailed in anticipation of the valet parking, but if you're planning to do the same, don't bother- valet parking has gone the way of service at this oversized motel. Suspicions were raised the moment we set foot in the lobby as we waited to be acknowledged. We were eventually seen to (not welcomed) by the sullen individual behind the check-in desk, given the key to our room and told our luggage would be close behind. Being newlyweds, we had booked what was called a 'romance' package only to find our room contained two single beds! We decided to wait until our luggage arrived to question a member of staff about our room allocation. We waited a long time! When our bags finally arrived we were told to call the front desk, which we did and were begrudgingly told they 'might be able to move us' and that they'd call back. Again we were left waiting. Four hours after arriving, we were finally moved to a more suitable room with lesser views but a bed for two. Fortunately, we had a function to attend that evening which meant escaping the confusion, always slow and sometimes non existent service for a considerable amount of time. The next day we availed of our $300 poolside cabana. We wandered down to the pool and asked which of the cabanas to occupy. The attendant seemed confused and lead us to the nearest one. We waited for him to return with our pre-purchased drinks and refreshments but he never came back. Eventually I got up and made my way over to their station where two attendants were talking and joking around. Once I got their attention, I asked where our drinks and fruit platter were. They reluctantly told me they didn't have record of our package. No wonder we hadn't seen them: they thought we were freeloading! I insisted we had paid $300 and wanted what we were promised. It was a very awkward conversation I should not have needed to have! They said they would find out and bring our items. Another hour went by and we still hadn't heard from them. The guests in the next cabana produced blow-up pool toys and they were there in a flash with the guests remarking 'wow, this is the most attentive you've been all day!' Again I asked after our items and once again being told they knew nothing about it was forced to return to my room to get my receipt which I produced poolside and received what we had paid for without so much as an apology! Shortly after, having waited in excess of 5 hours, the weather turned and our day was ruined. I was so disgusted we left a day early never to return.

I have read a couple of not so great reviews on this hotel which is the reason I decided to write my own review. I stayed at Palazzo Versace in January with my husband and two children, taking advantage of the fabulous Luxury Escape offer. I have stayed at this hotel before. From the moment we arrived at check-in everything went smoothly. Sure the hotel is tired, nothing a fresh coat of paint and new carpet wouldn’t fix. Our room was clean and the turndown service was such a lovely touch... particularly the Lindt chocolates which was a nice treat for my children. The buffet breakfast we had each day was sensational! Special mention the the amazing Korean chef who made me the most delicious omelette each morning! Our Al a Carte lunch was just as excellent and the seafood buffet dinner was the best buffet I have ever experienced! Everything was fresh and plentiful. My family loved spending time in the luxurious swimming pool. My only gripe I had with this is that other guests would reserve a sun lounge by simply placing a book or sunscreen on it, go for breakfast and come back later to their ‘reserved’ sun lounge- very cheeky! A couple of times we were left with literally nowhere to sit around the pool which unfortunately forced us to go to the beach instead. All in all we had such a fabulous stay at Palazzo Versace, every staff member we encountered was attentive and professional. I highly recommend visiting this hotel and look forward to returning soon!

Stayed one night, and arrived at check in somewhat early 1 PM and we’re told the room wasn’t ready but they’d call when it was ready as we wanted to head out. No problem, however, we returned at 5 PM having never got a call. The reception experience was not great. The staff aren’t particularly friendly and when asking about parking were told you probably want to drive to parking ourselves as the Valet parking costs $39, I just figured I’ll decide that rather than reception making that judgement for me. The hotel is beautiful but is looking a little tired, we booked suite, and it could really do with a deep clean and fresh coat of paint, damaged doors and paintwork chipped, stained furnishings, all just looking a little tired. Other than reception the staff were wonderful.

We stay there only one night and tried their a la carte lunch and breakfast. What made us wanted to stay here was the name of this hotel which belongs to a very well known fashion brand. The atmosphere of this hotel is luxury but somehow we felt it was a bit outdated, apparently only our feeling. Love the details though!

The rooms are beautiful and spacious and of course very lux. The pool area is amazing as is the hotel grounds and lobby. It is lovely but in all honesty there are better places actually on the beach for far less money located on the Gold Coast.

We arrived at the hotel at about midday and made our presence known at the front desk and we were advised we would be called when our room would be ready. We went to the nearby shopping center to kill time and received no call from reception. We returned at 2pm(our itinerary said check in 2pm) and nothing happened. At after 3pm we decided enough was enough and for about the 4th time asked if our room was ready. The same lady we had spoken to previously before hand greeted us as though we had never seen each other before and said our room was ready. I questioned her about having an extra hour on our departing day but she said no and then said checkin time was 3pm. i have an email stipulating details that our checkin time was 2pm. i even showed the person at the front desk this but she just dismissed it.Have been to this hotel a couple of times before but wont be returning because of your pathetic front staff.

My sister and I just spent 3 lovely nights at the Palazzo with the Luxury Escape package. Fantastic value. The meal options couldn't be faulted and everything was prepared and presented with 5 star flare. The staff need to be recognized for their outstanding service. Naresh and his staff were so attentive and accommodating. Every staff member, from the porters (Guy and Brent ), receptionists, room service, house keeping, waiters, are not only an asset to the Palazzo, but to the hospitality industry. Thankyou so much to everyone, I sincerely hope you are recognized by management!

Classic and luxrrious hotel with a beautiful pool area. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast buffet. Spacious room (lagoonview) and comfortable beds. Italian restaurant at the hotel (fogot the name) was very good. Cleaning needs a bit improvment though, especially behind furniture. Overall an excellent stay at the Palazzo Versace.
