We were very sad to check out today. Massive 2 bed ocean view apartment with lovely furnishings and all the conveniences. While there was some wear and tear to the paintwork it was easily overlooked. 2 massive bathrooms, ensuite with a float away bath in addition to the separate shower. Lovely and clean. The reception desk was extremely helpful and the parking secure with good size bays. Great restaurant with a $5 bacon and egg breakfast and very reasonably priced pool side snacks. Both the pools were beautifully maintained in addition to the gym and sauna. Situated right in Surfers with the light rail on the doorstep should you need to go anywhere not within walking distance. The only gripe I had was not with the hotel but the booking agent discover queensland who did not provide any of the supposedly included discounts and offers for the restaurant, spa and a couple of tours. Great value, lovely accommodation, well done Mantra!
We had a fantastic holiday at Mantra on Chevron will definitely be back. Great location to the beach and shops. I loved the facilities your hotel offers. The indoor pool and spa were fantastic. They only negative thing I could say was at night it was a bit noisy to sleep . Overall we had the best holiday.
Loved the location but the rooms could have been a lot cleaner! The staff were very nice, the $200 deposit should have been on the booking not hidden in the terms and conditions as it was a surprise to us that we had to pay this!
Good value. We've stayed here multiple times and the main problem is the inconsistency of apartments. Some are modern, large and outstanding. Others are dated and small. There's no way to tell what you're getting until you arrive. Had to book a non-refundable reservation but they couldn't guarantee any requests such as bed configuration even when I rang the day before arrival to check if available. This makes it hard to know what you're getting. However, staff/facilities and location are all excellent so this can be a very good option for a Gold Coast stay. Price was good.
The room was great but didn't have the basics to stay comfortably eg wooden spoon, sponge, dishwashing powder, laundry powder etc. it seemed very cheap that I had to buy all these. And bad pillows on the bed!
I made certain request to make our stay comfortable for my husband who has a disability, staff didn't even read my request. The staff at checkin tried to accommodate my request but apparently there were only 2 rooms left in the entire hotel so we were left with a noisy room next to the rubbish chute where we were kept awake from 1am to 3.30am each day unable to call security as the phone didn't work, with no working TV in the bedroom a couch my husband wasn't able to use, a fridge my husband couldn't access and to top it off a dirty sock from a past guest left on the floor of the master bedroom. On the upside they were able to get a shower at floor height (rather than one over a bath, which my husband can't use) and a relatively comfortable bed.
The room was a great size, close to shops and excellent views. The kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool and the BBQ area is great. Coles and chemist is just downstairs, for any shopping needs,
Parking was a little confusing but other than that our stay was perfect. Room was lovely and furniture and bathroom were really nice. Staff were warm and friendly and happy to help - would definitely recommend :)
Very convenient having shops underneath Portacot price of $35 was a bit steep consideringyoucan buy them new for that price now. Also need friendlier frontdesk agents willing to deliver something as simple as dishwashing detergent when asked rather than expecting a mum on her own to bring all three kids and baby down to front desk and back up.
Excellent location, very good apartment, beautiful view looking over the surfers paradise and lake from the bedroom. Everything was very clean and a very lovely outdoor pool and the spa pool outdoor was great. A bit harder to look for carpark and very hard finding the carpark entrance on first visit.
